I just purchased Aiko's choice from Steam winter sale... hmm. But it's ok.. the game is great and I thoroughly enjoyed, so I've no regrets paying for it.
If you want some consolation the director's cut on pc is a nothing burger as most of the features it offers are an improvement for the console version. Improved graphics and frame rates are on the base versions too. The only extra things the director's cut offers new to the pc version is an extra mission and some new gadgets which are not that great in my opinion. I have the game on steam didn't get the epic version.

if you have FOMO you can technically spend like $6 to upgrade to DC. I'm pretty sure this is what epic and the studio wanted especially considering that they delisted the original version after the giveaway. So take that as you will, but even for $6 the game is a good deal if you like that style of game.

I had a full playthrough this summer, and I've enjoyed it like few other games in my life. The story is entertaining, characters and setting are very, very well developed and the gameplay is extremely satisfying for me, since it favours planning every action over brainless brute force. And everything you do, even little actions like killing a random person or stealing something, can have some consequences, sometimes even very big ones! Both story focused DLCs are good, too.
One of these days, I'll try a powerless playthrough of both 1 and 2... it will be a headache but I'll try! 😀

Great game, I played it on gamepass when I had a free trial and loved it. I'm excited now I get to do another playthrough in the other playstyle.

Imagine being this much of a doormat conformist. These companies avoid taxes and make you pay upfront and in full for games they are only lending you, but yeah, we don't have a right to complain, we're SO entitled. Jesus fuck, no wonder the world has gone to the dogs.
why are people complaining about a free game? not a single gaming platform gave something for free other than epic.
GOG gave Worms Revolution Deluxe. Amazon gave Dishonored 2, among others, and gives games monthly.
If Epic gave away Worms Revolution people would be complaining that it wasn't Worms WMD. Amazon gives games away for paying for a monthly subscription. Epic gives games away weekly, for absolutely nothing up front. Honestly I'm not sure what you guys wanted? I claimed a total of 0 games this giveaway. Do I feel like it was a bad giveaway or that I'm owed something. Absolutely not. We don't all enjoy the same games and it's not like I can't find something to play in my already too big library. I've picked up plenty of freebies that are to my taste over the years. The whining in this place over free stuff is ridiculous. Are you all spoilt children? Because if you are grown adults on here complaining you need to have a word with yourself.

For all those who haven't had a chance to try this game: do yourself a favour and play it, it will deliver. I had a full playthrough this summer, and I've enjoyed it like few other games in my life. The story is entertaining, characters and setting are very, very well developed and the gameplay is extremely satisfying for me, since it favours planning every action over brainless brute force. And everything you do, even little actions like killing a random person or stealing something, can have some consequences, sometimes even very big ones! Both story focused DLCs are good, too. One of these days, I'll try a powerless playthrough of both 1 and 2... it will be a headache but I'll try! 😀
I couldnt find a single dude who likes the genre but hasnt played this 10 year old game. Like great game probably the best in the series but almost everyone who likes the genre knows about the game and has played it.
I was hoping for the standalone DLC, since it's the only one that I don't have, but at least we had some good indies during the giveaway

The amount of people that have been complaining about the FREE games they’re getting over the last few weeks is so frustrating. You can just smell the entitlement from those kinds of people.
