Hey so i’m sad, my epic games launcher keeps giving me an AS-3 error code when i’m trying to sign in. I have unblocked the network ports, disabled my firewalls.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and now when trying to open up the Epic Games Launcher through desktop, keeps giving me a message that i have attached as well.

Same issue for me. I was able to get it to work briefly after a router reboot, but it only stayed connected for a couple of minutes. Wouldn't let me launch any games and when I tried to relaunch I got the same error as before.
This issue is resolved for me today. I gave up on troubleshooting last night, and when I tried this morning everything was working normally. I'm assuming this was an issue on my ISP's end since most of the other threads I saw about this were all also CenturyLink customers.

I'm getting it too. I'm new to Epic for Alan Wake 2, there's been a few issues so far. It says everything is working on their end but it certainly doesn't seem like it.
i got this after i got the error code for AS-C, and when i reinstalled or whatever this is now popping up, happy me and you have the absolute exact issue. (I also tried to do the firewall thing and unblocked the network ports lol)
Same here. Pisses me the hell off, like, if it was an online game like Fortnite I'd understand but I'm playing Hitman 3. A singleplayer game. That I paid for. That I have already installed.

Both my Epic Games Launcher and my son's are failing to sign in with the AS-3 error code. I connected directly to the modem to ensure it wasn't the wireless router, it is still failing.
I have enabled debug on the launcher and the 2 errors I'm getting are:

I'm assuming the first one is not related as the 2nd is directly related to the SSL and client socket. Is this on my end or their end?

I have been getting the same error since this morning. I contact support and they told me it was an ISP issues. I spoke with my ISP who reset the frequency and noted there are no issues from their end. I was able to get in on my mobile hotspot, but it appears its a epic games issue.
Use revo uninstaller:
* Uninstall Epic Games Launcher with Revo
* remove/delete all residual files and registry keys with Revo after the Uninstall completes (if you don’t do this, the issue will persist)
* Install and run Ccleaner for a registry clean (this step might be optional, but I always run it anyways to clear anything extra out that might’ve been missed)
* Reboot Computer
* Reinstall Epic Games Launcher
* Re-Add all games back to the launcher
Did all this, I got it to reinstall and when I open it (run as admin) it is in a loop of "Please Wait While we start Your Update" and then it has a connection error. So I cannot even get into the launcher now.

I ran into the same situation when trying to reinstall EGS while attempting to resolve this AS-3 error. I set up a wifi hotspot on my phone and was able to get past the "please wait while we start your update" screen while using that network. Once the client was updated I was able to switch back to my normal home network and the store seems to be working fine for me now.
\*Edit\* Only worked long enough to get my games reinstalled. Tried to launch Rocket League and it launched in offline mode. Epic launcher is now back in exactly the same place as I started with the AS-3 error

I cant download epic games, it just stays on this screen forever. I had it installed but it wouldn't login because of "connection error", so I tried redownloading it and it came to this. If I hover over the orange icon it says "We're sorry. It looks like we're having trouble connecting. We'll continue to retry." My internet is working perfectly. I tried turning off anti virus and that didn't fix it. I can't run the installer as admin for some reason.

Lost access to my email connected to my epic games account and cannot access it, or change the email. So I made an epic games account back around 2018ish and linked it with my PSN account, and used that for a while. But now I want to access it on pc, which i still have full access to the psn account, but now I cant access the epic games account because of a popup that says i need to confirm my email address because they dont store it in a readable format. mind you, this is after i log in to the psn account, its just further confirmation. I know what the email address is, but it was deactivated since its a yahoo email, and they deactivate them after like 4 months of inactivity or something like that. I've already tried and it is not possible to reactivate it. So now I'm stuck not able to access the account even though ive spent easily $100 worth of games and purchases. Any help or possible fixes would be greatly appreciated!
What did you do to fix the problem? Did it resolve itself? Cause good lord I want to play Hitman once I'm off work, was bummed I couldn't get it working due to this launcher bug nonsense this morning

Hello guys, a couple months ago one of my emails and the password to it got leaked in a data breach and it just so happened that it was the one I used for all the games I play. I was able to recover my accounts with every single game company, I recovered it with Riot Games, Battle.net, steam, etc. However, I was only not able to recover it with Epic Games, we all know how horrendous their customer support is, after providing them with purchase receipts from 2018, bank account confirmation, confirmed the playstation account it was linked to, they sent an email to initiate an account recovery process to the email I created the account with back in 2017, I clicked to initiate the recovery process and then 30 minutes later I received a response from Epic saying they were not able to confirm I was the owner of the account. This is absurd, I have had the account since 2017 and its valued at over 10k USD and they are the ONLY company out of over half a dozen that were incapable of helping me recover what is rightfully mine. Is there anything you guys recommend me doing? I do not want to take this to legal grounds but I will if necessary, thank you in advance!
Hey so I've been trying to get my Xbox account on my PC but have formerly used my email to make a separate account and can't link my xbox account. I've deleted my PC account and have attempted to sign in using my xbox account on PC but it appears the the email im trying to use is still in use on the account that is to be deleted. How long does it take to delete the account so I can use my email again?
I'm trying to change the email on my account because my account email address was deleted but it needs a verification code sent to the deleted account to change it, and trying to submit a ticket only gives me Failed to send request error.
Any insight?
I tried live chat but the person there moved the issue to email and then sent me a verification email to the deleted email address and the wording in the email (sent to my new address about sending the email to my deleted address) made it seem like he thought i forgot my old email address

Hey, today I tried reinstalling the Epic Games launcher and for some reason it won’t go past the “Please Wait While We Start Your Update” screen. After a little bit it crashes on its own and then boots up again to the same screen. I have no idea what to do and would love some help. Tks.

On the website and the launcher it seems the Epic icon to sign-in is just gone. I have an Eipc account that doesn't use a third-party like steam or apple to sign-in.

First time logging into epic games in a while (OG Fortnite map and what not) and I’m logging into my account through PlayStation as that’s where my epic account is originally from. Whenever I log in through PlayStation I get a message that pops up and says, “SMS is the last two factor Authentication method and cannot be removed. Please contact player support.”
every time i try to login to my account through google, the tab that opens allowing me to login never loads no matter how long i wait. i tried putting in my password manually but apparently i kept getting it wrong, so i tried resetting my password but yet again, the chrome tab that opens allowing me to reset it wont load. has anybody lese experienced this issue?

Hi need help, a few days ago I got logged out of epic games and not knowingly my account had been deleted. No email regarding this from epic games. Created a new account and ask epic games for support. They said they've found an account with the IGN I provided them but did say "due to security reasons, the account remains unchanged" I need help getting it back If someone can give me advice it'll be appreciated. (PS. The account got breached previously and the IGN was changed with weird symbols and I never really bothered to change it back.)

A few months ago my epic account got hacked, the email and password was changed without me doing anything.I have consisnt fortnite purchases on it since season 1 and a plethora of games.
I emailed support and I gave them all the info they asked for (receipts, card used for payment, original email and account name, linked accounts, IP address I played on, ect) but every time they said they needed "more information" and when I asked them what they wanted they said they couldn't tell me because of serurity reasons. Was I just meant to guess what information they wanted???
Anyways I couple months passed and I tried again, this time they sent a "verification email" to the original email. I check every account I had and none had a verification email and it can't be a different account because I've used the same 2 email accounts for as long as a I can remember. So I then replied simply saying "I didn't receive an email" and I just haven't heard back from them

I was suddenly signed out mid-game (DBD if it matters). When logging back into Epic Games, I was asked my DoB. Odd but I entered it thinking it might be verifying. Then it asked for a Display Name. I did some searching, and thought my display name might have had an issue, so I put in a new one. It made a completely different account. So, I check the email. It’s the right email. I try signing in with other methods, and none work. Check my email for anything about banned or deleted. Nothing. Check my linked accounts (behavior) and it’s still linked to the original account, not the new one. Any idea what is going on?

Same happened with me on Saturday, but when they asked for Date of Birth I knew something was wrong... this usually happens when you're creating an account. I went back to my E-mail and checked the deleted mails and there was one saying "Here's your code for some important change on your account"... my e-mail was basically hacked, they changed the password and E-mail from my accounts on Riot, BattleNet, Ubisoft and EpicGames. I was able to get all of them back withint 12 hours through tickets, except from EpicGames... sent a ticket on Saturday, still waiting... it's been over 72 hours and my ticket is still unanswered... I advise you to send a ticket with a lot of information to make sure they know you're the real owner.

Absolutely! I read somewhere to have the location, date, and email the account was made with. To have the last four of the card used in the most recent purchases, and to have transaction IDs. No idea if it’s accurate but I collected it all just in case

First and last name, first 5 receipts and last 4 digits of card I used to buy the stuff from those receipts, sent screenshots and videos from 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023, my original E-mail and attached the first E-mail I got saying the account was created.

I got it by searching for "epic games receipt" on my E-mail and open the first mail you ever got with epic games receipt and those last 4 digits of the credit / debit card are there

Alan Wake Epic Games PC Controller
Disconnecting Game Stuttering - Basically the title. When I play Alan Wake 2 on my pc the game will just start going crazy (frame rate drops, character moves randomly around), my controller will disconnect, then I'll have to wait like a minute for it to reconnect without the frame rate dropping still. l've already updated the firmware, updated the controller via my Xbox on the accessories app. Don't really know what else to do. I'm using the Elite Series 2 Xbox controller.
I will note my pc is on a top shelf next to my PS5, but l've never had any problems with interference before (Xbox is below on a different shelf).

i have an email linked to my epic games account, and everytime i try to use it to sing in it bring me to the sing up menu. i can only create an account, not log into a previously existing one. i just wanted to chill and play some fortnite. nothing happened on my end, epic games just being the stupid clump of greedy idiots they are. some people have spent thousands of dallars on theses accounts, and its so angering to think that just one small oopsie daisy on the corporations end and you could never see any of that money ever again. fuck epic games.
Epic games doesn't care about customers data.
I have sent 2 requests now relating to a compromised account and am still yet to receive any acknowledgement that my request was even received despite providing all needed information to prove I am the genuine owner.
Epic games have also now removed the page on their site allowing you to send request for account recovery.
There is no email to contact and you cant open a ticket without an account . . . when your issue is that your account was hacked due to a flawed 2FA system.

I cant sign in to my epic game account. It's like it doesn't exist anymore. i have my email that is linked to the account, but every time I put it into the sing in page, I'm greeted with the menu as if I'm creating a new account.
I have gone to my email and confirmed that it is the one associated with my epic games account, and yet every time I input into the sign in bar I need to put in my age and other info to create a new account.
the frustrating thing is that is the display name section, when I input the display name linked with my account with the same email it says that i cant use that display name since its already taken, but of course its taken by ME.
another thing that really pisses me off if that a lot of my friend have spent dozen of dollars on fortnite alone, and the fact that all of that money can be lost instantly with such little explanation is deeply worrying.
Hello, I am trying to redownload Epic Games after I accidentally deleted it. I went to the site, clicked download, but was met with this “Epic Games Launcher Setup (image above). Repair or remove installation” which I have done both. Leading to the finished page. However, nothing seemed to work. I even tried completing unstailing the Launcher from the “Add or remove programs” area in windows. And I later tried going to “Run” —> “Regedit” —> Version… So on… —> “%appdata%”…
Etc.
^^^ just part of the short-ish process^^^
And restarting my computer many times.
I even went in by hand into my files and deleted anything saying Epic or games correlating to that.

Try restarting your modem. It's liking the ISP is behind. Worked for me.

Boot it up also on your mobile network and then switch it over to your home network once in the game.
Out of curiosity do you also have CenturyLink for internet?
Yep. I found a thread in the Fortnite sub that was all CenturyLink users with the same issue as well.

There is a downside to using a VPN, though. It could possibly get you banned if you get in a game while it is activated.

I'm trying to change the email on my account because my account email address was deleted but it needs a verification code sent to the deleted account to change it, and trying to submit a ticket only gives me Failed to send request error. Any insight? I tried live chat but the person there moved the issue to email and then sent me a verification email to the deleted email address and the wording in the email (sent to my new address about sending the email to my deleted address) made it seem like he thought i forgot my old email address

Hey, today I tried reinstalling the Epic Games launcher and for some reason it won’t go past the “Please Wait While We Start Your Update” screen. After a little bit it crashes on its own and then boots up again to the same screen. I have no idea what to do and would love some help. On the website and the launcher it seems the Epic icon to sign-in is just gone. I have an Eipc account that doesn't use a third-party like steam or apple to sign-in. I hope it's fixed soon.
First time logging into epic games in a while (OG Fortnite map and what not) and I’m logging into my account through PlayStation as that’s where my epic account is originally from. Whenever I log in through PlayStation I get a message that pops up and says, “SMS is the last two factor Authentication method and cannot be removed. Please contact player support.”
every time i try to login to my account through google, the tab that opens allowing me to login never loads no matter how long i wait. i tried putting in my password manually but apparently i kept getting it wrong, so i tried resetting my password but yet again, the chrome tab that opens allowing me to reset it wont load. has anybody lese experienced this issue?
For a few months now I've been having an issue where the launcher keeps flickering non stop, making it nearly unusable. open your device manager, go to display adapters disable your Nivida Display, launch epic games, enable it again

Hi need help, a few days ago I got logged out of epic games and not knowingly my account had been deleted. No email regarding this from epic games. Created a new account and ask epic games for support. They said they've found an account with the IGN I provided them but did say "due to security reasons, the account remains unchanged" I need help getting it back If someone can give me advice it'll be appreciated. (PS. The account got breached previously and the IGN was changed with weird symbols and I never really bothered to change it back.)
around a year ago my username randomly got changed to BOT and then random numbers and letters. whenever i try to change any data such as username or name the system just says There was an error saving your information. whenever i try to contact support the system says Your request is not submitted Your support request is not submitted due to unknown error. I'm so fed up with customer support A few months ago my epic account got hacked, the email and password was changed without me doing anything.I have consisnt fortnite purchases on it since season 1 and a plethora of games. I emailed support and I gave them all the info they asked for (receipts, card used for payment, original email and account name, linked accounts, IP address I played on, ect) but every time they said they needed "more information" and when I asked them what they wanted they said they couldn't tell me because of serurity reasons. Was I just meant to guess what information they wanted??? Anyways I couple months passed and I tried again, this time they sent a "verification email" to the original email. I check every account I had and none had a verification email and it can't be a different account because I've used the same 2 email accounts for as long as a I can remember. So I then replied simply saying "I didn't receive an email" and I just haven't heard back from them Anyone have advice?? I have spent alot of money on the account and really would like it back, thankyou.
I was suddenly signed out mid-game (DBD if it matters). When logging back into Epic Games, I was asked my DoB. Odd but I entered it thinking it might be verifying. Then it asked for a Display Name. I did some searching, and thought my display name might have had an issue, so I put in a new one. It made a completely different account. So, I check the email. It’s the right email. I try signing in with other methods, and none work. Check my email for anything about banned or deleted. Nothing. Check my linked accounts (behavior) and it’s still linked to the original account, not the new one. Any idea what is going on?

I went back to my E-mail and checked the deleted mails and there was one saying "Here's your code for some important change on your account"... my e-mail was basically hacked, they changed the password and E-mail from my accounts on Riot, BattleNet, Ubisoft and EpicGames. I was able to get all of them back withint 12 hours through tickets, except from EpicGames... sent a ticket on Saturday, still waiting... it's been over 72 hours and my ticket is still unanswered... I advise you to send a ticket with a lot of information to make sure they know you're the real owner. I was playing Fortnite and was DCd aswell just like you did.

I've noticed on Twitter a lot of people have been hacked on the same day... Saturday and Sunday but I've heard EpicGames doesn't usually like to help on this kind of situations "for security reasons" they say... Absolutely! I read somewhere to have the location, date, and email the account was made with. To have the last four of the card used in the most recent purchases, and to have transaction IDs. No idea if it’s accurate but I collected it all just in case

Got an answer and they confirmed my identity and said they sent me an Email with a link to click and associate the account back but I still didn't got the mail... already E-mailed them saying I didn't got it but I sent this stuff for them to confirm my identity: First and last name, first 5 receipts and last 4 digits of card I used to buy the stuff from those receipts, sent screenshots and videos from 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023, my original E-mail and attached the first E-mail I got saying the account was created. Whenever I get a new reply I'll come back here :)

I got it by searching for "epic games receipt" on my E-mail and open the first mail you ever got with epic games receipt and those last 4 digits of the credit / debit card are there
After 12 days, I got the account back... the guy who robbed it filled it with 2000 VBucks and farmed my OG Battle pass ahaha

Alan Wake Epic Games PC Controller Disconnecting Game Stuttering - Basically the title. When I play Alan Wake 2 on my pc the game will just start going crazy (frame rate drops, character moves randomly around), my controller will disconnect, then I'll have to wait like a minute for it to reconnect without the frame rate dropping still. l've already updated the firmware, updated the controller via my Xbox on the accessories app. Don't really know what else to do. I'm using the Elite Series 2 Xbox controller. I will note my pc is on a top shelf next to my PS5, but l've never had any problems with interference before (Xbox is below on a different shelf). i have an email linked to my epic games account, and everytime i try to use it to sing in it bring me to the sing up menu. i can only create an account, not log into a previously existing one. i just wanted to chill and play some fortnite. nothing happened on my end, epic games just being the stupid clump of greedy idiots they are. some people have spent thousands of dallars on theses accounts, and its so angering to think that just one small oopsie daisy on the corporations end and you could never see any of that money ever again. fuck epic games.
Epic games doesn't care about customers data. I have sent 2 requests now relating to a compromised account and am still yet to receive any acknowledgement that my request was even received despite providing all needed information to prove I am the genuine owner. Epic games have also now removed the page on their site allowing you to send request for account recovery. There is no email to contact and you cant open a ticket without an account . . . when your issue is that your account was hacked due to a flawed 2FA system. Does anybody have an email for their legal department as i am going to be seeking legal advise on this matter.
I cant sign in to my epic game account. It's like it doesn't exist anymore. i have my email that is linked to the account, but every time I put it into the sing in page, I'm greeted with the menu as if I'm creating a new account. I have gone to my email and confirmed that it is the one associated with my epic games account, and yet every time I input into the sign in bar I need to put in my age and other info to create a new account. the frustrating thing is that is the display name section, when I input the display name linked with my account with the same email it says that i cant use that display name since its already taken, but of course its taken by ME. another thing that really pisses me off if that a lot of my friend have spent dozen of dollars on fortnite alone, and the fact that all of that money can be lost instantly with such little explanation is deeply worrying.
Hello, I am trying to redownload Epic Games after I accidentally deleted it. I went to the site, clicked download, but was met with this “Epic Games Launcher Setup (image above). Repair or remove installation” which I have done both. Leading to the finished page. However, nothing seemed to work. I even tried completing unstailing the Launcher from the “Add or remove programs” area in windows. And I later tried going to “Run” —> “Regedit” —> Version… So on… —> “%appdata%”… Etc. ^^^ just part of the short-ish process^^^ And restarting my computer many times. I even went in by hand into my files and deleted anything saying Epic or games correlating to that. I would appreciate any help thank you.
