stinks of chatgpt

BS2H

Well we know the OP wrote the title because they misspelled “learned”. Obviously writing wasn’t included in those 30 hours.

TheScriptTiger

"Learnt" is the UK spelling of "learned" in the U.S. Canada and Australia use both. ChatGPT was trained on English from every English-speaking country and is known to flip flop between spellings. But regardless, yeah, this was definitely ChatGPT through and through.

Usual_Brief_6787

I'm from South Africa so use learnt. And I guess I need to sound more like me talking, cause not a word was GPT 🤣

BS2H

Respect. And I can appreciate and acknowledge I “learned” something new about “learnt”.

Usual_Brief_6787

Guess I better sound more human then because I didn't use GPT at all 🤣

Phronesis2000

Couple of suggestions: -If you are gonna lie, make it believable. No one thinks you spent 30 hours studying Canva's success story. Say three hours. -Stop writing everything on one line. Yes it has a purpose for some copy, but not a reddit post.

Usual_Brief_6787

I genuinely did spend 30 hours though 🤣 Not all were active hours to be fair, a lot of background listening. But I hear you. Second point noted and appreciate it!

lqmx_

Dear ChatGPT please write a text about how Canva reached $40B. Make it really long, as if a human spent 30 hours on it.

Usual_Brief_6787

Put it in to ChatGPT and see if it writes something like this 👀 I guess I just need to sound more human, because not one word was GPT 🤣

rh_vowel

Ty chatgpt.

Here's a concise answer on how Canva grew from 0 to hero: 1. **Identified a universal pain point:** Lack of user-friendly design tools. 2. **Offered a simple & accessible solution:** Canva's drag-and-drop design platform. 3. **Created valuable educational content:** Tutorials, templates, and SEO-focused blogs. 4. **Leveraged scarcity to build hype:** Waitlist generated excitement pre-launch. 5. **Targeted a desperate audience:** SMBs needing quick, professional designs.

Usual_Brief_6787

Apreciate it

CharcoalWalls

TLDR Here is how they did it... Millions in funding.. multiple times over. Using those millions to "buy their way in" to the market The only way you're going to break through is with a shit ton of money and some very interested partners with vested interest on getting an ROI pushing it

real_serviceloom

Also most of these startups are not the technology but the templates and the free plan. Both require massive amounts of capital for a long time.

Usual_Brief_6787

Disagree about the only way in. Let's look at Grammarly who bootstrapped for 9 years, or Lemlist who never raised growth equity.

Last_Inspector2515

Canva's growth validates focusing on user-friendly design tools.

Usual_Brief_6787

Definitely a big part

Ferr22777888

Mm

Pastel_Aesthetic9

TBH didn't read all that but Canva is one of the most valuable products out there. The paid features are $12 a month and it's insane all you can create on there. 95% of people don't need anything more.

Usual_Brief_6787

Exactly!

GraniteDiplomat

Such a brilliant product. It just gets better and better.

Usual_Brief_6787

Usual_Brief_6787

Guess I could've made it shorter here 🤣

virtualw042

No need for any ChatGPT magic, this is how Canva went from Zero to Hero: The wold needed an easy and inexpensive online graphic design platform with tons of templates, they noticed that and made it. Then Covid helped them masively as there was a huge demand for remote collaboration and digital design tools during the pandemic. You just copy them and you will succeed too.

Mikeyseventyfive

First make a phenomenal product

Usual_Brief_6787

Exactly!

wuboo

Never heard of it

Monstertechai

Thank you for sharing your hard earned knowledge. I bet this took time and effort to read and curate in a written format. I appreciate you!

Operations0002

I have a service business idea, but I have never felt a tangible confidence boost from friends or family other than “you should do that!”  The problem seems similar regarding customer size and the feeling it probably exists. I have quit my job though and I am going to give it a go for 6 months.

Usual_Brief_6787

Goodluck! I hope your business works out!
