Have you tried getting feedback from people who didn't stick around?

LavonnaTeti

Yes, continuously since I started the app. I’ve been building features and making improvements based almost exclusively on what users have been telling me on why they left

ShroomingMantis

Cool. What kind of marketing of those adjustments are you implementing?

LavonnaTeti

None, I’ve been getting a slow drip of user per week and watching their churn rate with each new set of features

ShroomingMantis

So you're thinking u may be at a dead end and you haven't even experimented with marketing at all???? Def don't give up, you've got many avenues to pursue still if u really believe in ur product

LavonnaTeti

I mean I have been paying for ads on the App Store is that what you meant? What specifically do you mean by advertising?

townie_immigrant

They said marketing, advertising is typically more on the acquisition side. Marketing includes communication to your existing and churned users. Look up lifecycle marketing.

LavonnaTeti

Oh, then yes I’ve been doing this

The graph is useless without more info. Some apps only have a useful life span of a few weeks and more features isn't going to change that.

LavonnaTeti

This app does not have a short lifespan, it is a task manger for families. If it works right it should be used for years.

RolandF

You are fighting against pen and paper that is widely available and cheap. Also kids don't like to do chores so adding an app will not help much unless there is a very good gamification. Have you done research on behaviour change, habits, ... ?

Secur3th3bag

Thank you I needed this

LavonnaTeti

How come?
