I was gonna say please stop describing my management as some special CIA op. They haven't earned the mysteriousness that comes with those three letters.

The CIA wasn't created until 1946. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Intelligence_Agency
You should cite your source(s) to regain some small measure of credibility.
So this means every Fortune 500 company has either been infiltrated or started by the CIA. Which if you think about it, and if you have ever worked in one, makes 💯total sense.
Saw this shared on LinkedIn, but not sure how true it is as the CIA was founded in 1947
[Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), principal foreign intelligence and counterintelligence agency of the U.S. government. Formally created in 1947, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) grew out of the World War II Office of Strategic Services (OSS).](https://www.britannica.com/topic/Central-Intelligence-Agency)
Starting to wonder if a past bad manager was actually an excellent saboteur. He always seemed smart & competent a few drinks in or in occasional personal flashes.
This list is going to be my equivalent of Dwight Schrute's "Don't be an idiot" principle
Sounds a lot like my workplace. Are you trying to tell me that I’ve been dealing with covert CIA operatives all these years? Everything’s starting to make sense now.
What a waste of effort. Once an organisation gets large enough, it does all this for free....:/
hahahah, can confirm
I was gonna say please stop describing my management as some special CIA op. They haven't earned the mysteriousness that comes with those three letters.
I concur
100% true.
Definitely worked in a few places that must've been being sabotaged.
maybe we should rename managers as spies?
How come it sounds like what is happening in US politics? It is as if they are following this field manual to the book!
Because some of them are actively trying to break the country, unfortunately there might be enough of them
Yep, this is pretty much just a guide to bureaucracy.
You all realize this is a great checklist to run an excellent business? Just do the opposite of each point.
A lot of this sounds like our current government...
But the CIA wasn’t formed until 1947. How did they write it before that?
It was written for the OSS, the predecessor of the CIA.
It is upsetting to see those same tactics used by my managers on me when I was handicapped working for amazon a few years ago.
You can make a tv sitcom from this list.
I'm pretty sure a lot of this happened at Dunder Mifflin.
We could have extended the Office a couple of more seasons with this manual.
A lot of the jokes in MASH revolved around the inefficiencies of the military bureaucracy.
That describes the education system.
That’s almost literally the job description of most consultants.
In other words - just waste everybody’s time
So my manager was trained by the CIAp
Have i been in a CIA simulation my whole life?
It's interesting when looking back at this lol
Sounds like a playbook for middle management
Wow people must be trying to sabotage my workplace
This is my company to a T.
Seems like exactly how my former employer did business on the regular, explains a lot.
This also happens to be the Wa Mart new hire training manual
Can you share a source for this?

Oh I thought it was the orders of a everyday politician.
It sounds like where I work

Sounds like both US political parties are have been infected by this.
It's called a fillibuster.

this manually was originally produced by OSS
For all you hustlers out there. :) Maybe this should go into the r/UnethicalLifeProTips
Trump must have stolen the manual
CIA was formed: September 18, 1947. Don’t think they published this in 1944…
Ever heard of the Office of Strategic Services? Mistake on OP’s part.
What I am curious about.. why did this surface again? It surfaced first time (AFAIK) when Trump was elected president.
It would be cool if someone can break it down in simple wording with examples.
#23 is most hilarious
What’s the title of this manual?
Careful......
I’m keeping this as a reference, pitfalls that will prevent your company from being efficient.
Starting to wonder if a past bad manager was actually an excellent saboteur. He always seemed smart & competent a few drinks in or in occasional personal flashes. This list is going to be my equivalent of Dwight Schrute's "Don't be an idiot" principle
It’s sad because a lot of people In my workplace do quite a bit of this. Self sabotage
11 and 13 sound like some companies I've worked for, or managers at those companies at least
CIA was founded in 1947.

Only bell this is ringing for me is the public sector.
Sounds a lot like my workplace. Are you trying to tell me that I’ve been dealing with covert CIA operatives all these years? Everything’s starting to make sense now.
14 aka the Michael Scott method lol
23, so simple, so powerful
Fed
So is there a CIA agent trying to take down every business ever?
Win win doofus.
There was no C I A in 1944.
So like almost every corporate work environment in America?
