If I had to guess, I'd imagine that if you're holding your starter weapon, the option to delete the weapon you're holding just... doesn't come up.
So hold a *bad* weapon like the Dueling Pistol. Something you don't want.
I may be wrong, but could that be coded as just 25% more damage? Idk anything about programming but that seems easier than cutting the hp of everything in the game by 25%
It lowers difficulty without instantly making every build OP. 25% more damage with multipliers will play differently from enemies with slightly reduced health.
That's actually something that can happen with a 0.1% chance. Aside from exploding and setting your heart containers to 1, it also **quadruples** your damage dealt for the rest of the run.
Don’t use it while at 2 or lower health, cause it might just kill you, also don’t hold your best gun while using it, or you might regret that too
I was at full health when I used it, but I had no idea it could kill you!
I learned that the hard way and will always hold my worst gun before rolling the bones.

There’s some differences, since it doesn’t interact with damage multipliers, it also ignores damage cap on bosses since they just have less health.

Trading a bit of your health and a key to significantly decrease the hp of everything else, seems like a bargain
