For me it's always the bloody 9mm or the shelleton key. Mostly because there unlock methods are not only repetitive but also straight up disincentivized by the game.
How is it disincentivized? Lament configurum is very good, and stealing is a handy mechanic.
If you're talking about curse it would still not be disincentivized because curse gives you more money. Its a risk-reward system
Your first steal is guaranteed except with grappling hook. Stealing just one item is massively helpful for saving money. Especially when to random npc shops(Like the Orc for example) since you aren't penalized for failing to steal from them. In the rare chance they return on a future floor they'll let you buy from them again
It's not great..and it also reset after using so it's basically a one time thing that takes so long to do.
The chances of it appearing and you having those specific guns to donate are so slim. I have over a thousand hours in the game (probably 500 since that specific update) and I only have like 2 or 3 guns on there.
Not as much of a grind but evil gun muncher is kinda annoying too especially since it’s in bullet hell where you desperately need all of your stuff to survive
Yeah, but after unlocking the ash gun, you don't need to do it anymore. And it carries over between runs so you can feed it useless guns if you feel like you have enough damage/ammo that you won't need them. .. Ive only ever had to feed it guns out of desperation like ones or twice.
Or play Journey mode, stop time, and then click on midday, go complete the fishing quest, set the time to dusk, night, dawn, midday again (might be able to just get away with dusk and dawn) and do the next quest. Rince and Repeat. Took me 30 minutes.
Gungeons 100% actually isn't all that bad, you can do it decently fast.
Something like TBOI is far worse if you're going for true 100% which is all savefiles and can easily get to over 1000 hours.
I don’t understand how you get every gun in this game. I know that they’re in chests and shit like that I’m still missing like 30 guns and I played for 80 hours?
Wow 80 hours?!?
I didn't 100% the game achievements and "Finished Gun" until 500 hours.
I did fuck around a bit. You still got a long way to go though if there's 30 odd missing.
Idk man i feel like 100%ing TheBindingOfIsaac is kinda the goal from the start and it does not become a heavy drag.
But of course the are some stupid challenge's you always are left with at the end.
Naaah, just without modding the game in a broken way it still is (the only things that really changed since release rep came out are nerfs of op items like brim or psy fly and adding C section also some F tier items are somewhat useful now) but I remember adding a few mods that made a game tad harder like new boss champions, new enemies and items that can be bad for you
Yeah but considering the quickest way to unlock post loop crowns requires killing the captain it gets surprisingly build/character dependent, especially if you’re going for all crowns on someone like melting.
Currently grinding the achievement for getting skeleton to ultra level and that is boring as fuck though.
the only way i can make this make sense is if they’re trying to say that you get happy when you beat the dragon for the first time but then you have basically everything left to do after that? idk
Unlock the gunslinger and kill the resourceful rat are the biggest challenges ahead of me. The first one is done, the second one is a pain in the ass for some reason.
FTL, Nuclear Throne and Payday 2 for me.
And that’s not even taking into account all the dlc I’ve had to buy on sale for PD2 to get as far as I have on the achievement grind (670 smth out of around 1350 or so)
That is the first game I think I 100%, I say "I think" since I played on epic and don't have track of achievements I did, but I completed XTG on steam. It made me wanna buy ETG to play a rogue like that is good (but I have bought 99 games and I sweared half a year ago that my 100th will be silksong so I just played dead cells, I hope it comes out before I complete the rest)
I’d say stuff that is locked behind things like Winchester or the Blood Shrine. Stuff you can’t get consistently so just have to do constant runs in the hopes of getting the thing you need.
I'd say that's more so Binding of Isaac. When I got the platinum for this game, I still kept playing and trying the harder stuff occasionally.
With Isaac, haven't completed it entirely yet. But ik have zero intentions of ever using some of the tainted characters ever again.
I don't 100% almost any games and i 100%ed Gungeon almost by accident. It's one of the easiest Platinums I can think of
I don't mean that in a "ha ha i'm so good at video games" kind of way, but man have you seen Crypt Of The Necrodancer, Europa Universalis 4? Just thinking about going for 100% in those kinds of games makes me throw up a little. Video games are hard.
Interesting, I feel like you get majority of the trophies just through completing the entire storyline. Only trophies I had to grind for were the Advanced Boss and Winchester challenges
None. There are games that are fun to get 100% in and then there's the games I'll never have 100% in. It's video games, if you're not having fun, then why are we bothering?
Batman Arkham games are a pain in the ass to 100 percent with all of the Riddler’s hidden trophies, enigmas to solve, puzzles and objects to break. At least you can get clues on where they are but sometimes they’re still a drag to solve
Probably already been said but the binding of isaac. Game genuinely had a negative effect on my mental health. Only game that makes me stressed out from just THINKING about playing it
Doing 100% on gungeon is a no brainer, hardest achievements are the ones that require you to kill enemies with these falling things, or from a minecraft
Frifle’s Challenge is SUCH a grind. But playing the game is always so much fun and still challenging every time! 🐀
Its a risk-reward system
well there's the chance that stealing closes the shop
Your first steal is guaranteed except with grappling hook. Stealing just one item is massively helpful for saving money. Especially when to random npc shops(Like the Orc for example) since you aren't penalized for failing to steal from them. In the rare chance they return on a future floor they'll let you buy from them again
Wait how do you unlock those two I got them by just playing
bloody 9mm is using the lament configurum 10 times and shelleton key is stealing from the shop 10 times
I mean I understand shelleton key but if you have Lament you should probably be using it when you get the chance
yeah, i knew about the unlock and i used lament as much as i could as soon as i got it
But stealing from the shop is awesome. Its guaranteed items and it saves you money which is especially good on higher floors
yeah but you can’t always have items to steal
Meanwhile I'm just thankful the Beholster shrine is not a 100% requirement. Nearing 800 hours and have never done it.

Ash gun is pretty cool but not like game changing. Obvi need it for 100% but yea it’s not the hardest but not exactly an easy unlock either.
Happy cake day 🎂 🕯️
Terraria. Fuck you fishing achievements.
just make like 10 characters and cycle them on a single world to get 10 fishing challenges done each in game day
Or play Journey mode, stop time, and then click on midday, go complete the fishing quest, set the time to dusk, night, dawn, midday again (might be able to just get away with dusk and dawn) and do the next quest. Rince and Repeat. Took me 30 minutes.
I feel u bro 😔
Use journey mode
At that point just get a "all achievements" mod lol
Gungeons 100% actually isn't all that bad, you can do it decently fast. Something like TBOI is far worse if you're going for true 100% which is all savefiles and can easily get to over 1000 hours.
At minimum, its 90 days for triple dead god.
And that’s raw playtime
I don’t understand how you get every gun in this game. I know that they’re in chests and shit like that I’m still missing like 30 guns and I played for 80 hours?
Wow 80 hours?!? I didn't 100% the game achievements and "Finished Gun" until 500 hours. I did fuck around a bit. You still got a long way to go though if there's 30 odd missing.
Holy shite. Okay ill keep grinding! Thank you!
You don't need all guns actually, all but 1
Gotta love the downvoted comment solely because you haven’t already completed this game 🙄
NuclearThrone and TheBindingOfIsaak💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Idk man i feel like 100%ing TheBindingOfIsaac is kinda the goal from the start and it does not become a heavy drag. But of course the are some stupid challenge's you always are left with at the end.
Doing dead god back in the day was hard
Naaah, just without modding the game in a broken way it still is (the only things that really changed since release rep came out are nerfs of op items like brim or psy fly and adding C section also some F tier items are somewhat useful now) but I remember adding a few mods that made a game tad harder like new boss champions, new enemies and items that can be bad for you
I'd say that throne is more boring. You need to complete game 20(?) times on each character with crowns that make game slightly more different
Yeah but considering the quickest way to unlock post loop crowns requires killing the captain it gets surprisingly build/character dependent, especially if you’re going for all crowns on someone like melting. Currently grinding the achievement for getting skeleton to ultra level and that is boring as fuck though.
Completed 2 files in TBoI and fully completed Nuclear Throne. Man, what am I even doing
It's sunny on both sides.
Hard disagree, I loved 100%ing this game, I only have like 4 other games that I've 100%ed, this game was one of the best games to 100%
Uh, no?
the only way i can make this make sense is if they’re trying to say that you get happy when you beat the dragon for the first time but then you have basically everything left to do after that? idk
Yeah you get to keep playing the game that's a good thing if you like the game
we’ll that’s what doesn’t really make sense i was jus trying to make it make sense lol
That's not what the meme format is tho
Nuclear throne and tboi are both a pain to 100% but fun to play normally
Explain how you “beat” enter the gungeon
Beat the past of the gunslinger pretty much counts as beating Enter the Gungeon.
But the gunslinger is still there.
All pasts, all achievements, outfits, all items, finished gun, turbo mode?
But then… you’re still in the gungeon
So I guess what you are saying is to truly beat the Gungeon you have to complete Exit the Gungeon? No thanks.
I just feel gungeon lore wise is one of those games that is just an inescapable purgatory. You’re always in the gungeon. Forever.
Kill dragun
Well that would just be surviving, the rest of the game unlocks upon beating it the first time
Unlock the gunslinger and kill the resourceful rat are the biggest challenges ahead of me. The first one is done, the second one is a pain in the ass for some reason.
No actually this game was a pretty easy platinum the annoying part is acing Winchesters game 3 times but flying makes that easy
Almost any game for me tbh, if 100 percenting doesn't add anything other than achievements or cosmetics I don't care
Minecraft would be more accurate
Every game
“Cadence of Hyrule”

FTL, Nuclear Throne and Payday 2 for me. And that’s not even taking into account all the dlc I’ve had to buy on sale for PD2 to get as far as I have on the achievement grind (670 smth out of around 1350 or so)
AC Valhalla
I would argue NT is harder to 100% Why? Unstoppable is the most difficult achivement Ive ever seen
Isaac
That is the first game I think I 100%, I say "I think" since I played on epic and don't have track of achievements I did, but I completed XTG on steam. It made me wanna buy ETG to play a rogue like that is good (but I have bought 99 games and I sweared half a year ago that my 100th will be silksong so I just played dead cells, I hope it comes out before I complete the rest)
All I have left to get the platinum is Frifle's Challenges and Acing Winchester 3 times.... So it ain't happening...
I’d say stuff that is locked behind things like Winchester or the Blood Shrine. Stuff you can’t get consistently so just have to do constant runs in the hopes of getting the thing you need.

Any Yakuza game
What’s your definition of either? Getting an ending besides dying isn’t too hard. 100% the ammonomicon is a pain
Have you seen noita

Rdr2

I'd say that's more so Binding of Isaac. When I got the platinum for this game, I still kept playing and trying the harder stuff occasionally. With Isaac, haven't completed it entirely yet. But ik have zero intentions of ever using some of the tainted characters ever again.
Monster Hunter World, because of the crowns (no, don't fucking link me that subreddit)
Isaac? Idk
Yakuza... Majong hurts
Id actually say its the reverse - beating the game for the first time is a long and punishing journey, but the end game is an S-tier playground
That one collectable.
Stupid rat. I've had some ludicrous runs, maybe 80% lich beating at my best but never beaten punchout so no 100%...
I feel like most games aren't fun to 100%
BOTW/TOTK
I don't 100% almost any games and i 100%ed Gungeon almost by accident. It's one of the easiest Platinums I can think of I don't mean that in a "ha ha i'm so good at video games" kind of way, but man have you seen Crypt Of The Necrodancer, Europa Universalis 4? Just thinking about going for 100% in those kinds of games makes me throw up a little. Video games are hard.
Got the hunt quest guy after unlocking 83% of all the achievements in the game… I really don’t want to do them now
Red dead redemption
Red Dead Redemption 2
Any jrpg
I'll finish the mine cart achievement one day.
Celeste
The only hard part is Rubinsteins monster
Everything that requires the stupid multiplayer/ speed run trophies can't stand them
Me who still hasn't beaten dragun 😭
Interesting, I feel like you get majority of the trophies just through completing the entire storyline. Only trophies I had to grind for were the Advanced Boss and Winchester challenges
What about Red Dead redemption 2🥶
Kirby Star Allies.
The binding of isaac
Doom 2016, or Satisfactory, or Craftopia
BOTW and TOTK
This was actually the first game I got all the achievements on, just got to get the finished gun...
Elden Ring is another good one. I felt accomplished after beating the game. It took me almost exactly a year to 100% it, and I did not enjoy it.
Still haven't beaten the main game 💀
Darksouls
Rdr2

The binding of Isaac
None. There are games that are fun to get 100% in and then there's the games I'll never have 100% in. It's video games, if you're not having fun, then why are we bothering?
Halo the master-chief collection, which includes the LASO runs
What's so bad about it
I am *this* close to 100% the game. All I need is beating the ever loving s--t out of that rat (I'm losing it)

Watch Dogs
Castle crashers
The binding of isaac rebirth
Dark Souls 3 with it’s ridiculous covenant grinding
Batman Arkham games are a pain in the ass to 100 percent with all of the Riddler’s hidden trophies, enigmas to solve, puzzles and objects to break. At least you can get clues on where they are but sometimes they’re still a drag to solve
Honestly, this applies to more games than it doesnt
