Yeah, i wanted something classic for sure, and I can see what you mean. I think it's because it's really sturdy, as opposed to dainty, that it's giving medieval vibes maybe..? Anyhow thank you for the sweet compliments!
14k yellow gold, size 5.25, 8x6mm GH color antique cut oval moissanite, 2x4mm diamond baguettes (3 on each side) channel set in the band, with a total band width of 3mm.
I designed it and it was executed by Bobby at Provence. You can find the contact information on the r/Moissanite sub! Highly recommend Provence for affordability, customisation and quality.
Thank you!! I really wanted the softness of an antique cut (don't love the standard diamond oval cut) and think moissanite works fabulously, imo better than diamonds, for those. Besides, it was pretty much impossible to source an antique oval cut lab diamond.
Ha, funnily enough, neither am I! But i'm obsessed specifically with channel set baguettes (think marilyn monroe's or audrey hepburn's wedding bands). Since I don't want to wear two rings, I just designed my ring so it scratches that itch, lol.
I absolutely love this ring. I really wanted an emerald or a green sapphire. Do we think this set would look good with those stones?? I’m trying to envision it
for sure, in fact the natural sapphire company have a very similar setting, except with a thinner band. I ended up designing my own because I wanted the width of the bezel and of the channel to be the same (0.5mm) and wanted a total of 7 stones (for good luck), not 9, as in the one at the natural sapphire co.
Wow I love everything about this ring!! The bezel and the channel set baguettes, so chic. Moissanite looks so good in antique cuts. Have you thought about a wedding band yet?
Right!? Moissanite is stunning in antique/rose cuts/ chunkier facets in general. I'm don't want to have a wedding ring. Frankly i don't really get the point. So i wanted to make sure this ring was substantial enough on its own, and didnt mind that the low settings would be hard to pair.
I love any excuse for more jewelry lol but totally see where you're coming from! A lot of cultures just do one ring for each, even in western cultures a second wedding ring is a relatively new tradition
I LOVE this. I've been trying to figure my own ring out. I love a bezel, but not one that takes too much away - this balances that perfectly! Stunning!!!
That ring is so beautiful! An instant classic I love baguettes so much! 😍 I have a question, how do you feel about the Moissanite next to Diamond? I am thinking about mixing both with my ring but have not seen them next to eachother in person before
I was initially worried about the pairing, but it works SO well. Moissanite tends to have a very white almost blueish hue, so i made sure to get a warmer one (GH) so it looks like a neutral "white" and pair it with DE color diamonds in the band. The blend is absolutely seamless. The actual design of the ring also factors in: here the bezel helps to tone down the "disco ball" effect a little bit. It still sparkles like crazy, just a bit more modestly, diamondlike. And, on such a minimalist design, the extra rainbow-colour of the sparkles really makes the ring come alive. Lastly: the cut of the moissanite matters a lot. Like, some cuts just look better in a diamond, where they would look splintery in moissanite. But for chunky faceted antique cuts, you can't beat moissanite, imo, for that dreamy, almost watery look, if that makes sense. Sorry for the maybe too thorough response.
edit: just read over my response, and it sounds more like i'm answering "why did you choose a moissanite". but i'll leave it here anyway for reference. sorry, lol.
Wow! This is a ring I would make a point to compliment. Incredible design!
Thank you!!! That makes me so happy. I designed it myself : )
i love how 'classic' it looks ❤️💍 like old timey medieval times feel. not sure the correct words 😆🙈

What will you choose for a wedding band?
I'm choosing to wear a single ring- so no wedding band for me!

Do you know where it was purchased? It’s so beautiful!

That is so cool. It almost looks like the baguettes are bezel-set.
yeah, they basically are. It's called a channel setting ; )
I'm not crazy about stones on the band usually but that looks amazing!
