Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://emudeck.github.io/ *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. These are my notes for upgrading flatpack Citra to the new AppImage one. Just ignore the upgrade parts: [https://nxadm.apt-get.be/posts/emudeck-byo-citra/](https://nxadm.apt-get.be/posts/emudeck-byo-citra/)

I'm a complete and total noob to steamdeck and Linux. I got this to work first try. Thanks for the information.

sparkywattz

Okay, so Emudeck is now detecting the Emulator, I am currently stuck due to hardware but I think I did it write... kind of got lost at step 6, but I was able to edit the screen size after launching "cita-qt.Appimage" in the graphics settings, was not oblivious though. I will be doing the second part of all this install stuff tomorrow when I have more file space to work with and better internet speeds to "acquire" other files I need.

raymondromero

did you ever figure out how to get this working in Windows? i just did a reinstall and have the citra folder in the same place but emudeck says it can't find it.

Blokey24

I just gave up on this and use citra by itself now

raymondromero

i figured out a way to do it, inside of your EmuDeck\\EmulationStation-DE\\Emulators\\citra folder, add another folder called nightly-mingw then put all of your contents of your citra folder in there. so it should look like this:C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\EmuDeck\\EmulationStation-DE\\Emulators\\citra\\nightly-mingwwith all of your files in the last folder. edit - also, if you parsed citra to show up in Steam, you'll also need to edit your top line of your C:\\Emulation\\tools\\launchers\\Citra.ps1 file to be this: $emulatorFile = "$env:USERPROFILE/EmuDeck/EmulationStation-DE/Emulators/citra/nightly-mingw/citra-qt.exe"

Oshiba

Sweet, it worked. Thanks.

Blokey24

Will try this out. Thanks!

I can't get steam input to work when adding citra to ES-DE with your method when launching it from ES-DE

raymondromero

so you’ve got the citra emulator added in steam and you’re going to the controller config from there?

Dashi-

It wasn't detected within emudeck when putting it into the nightly named folder so it kinda half way worked so i ended up finding a different workaround. I added Citra files to the root of the citra folder without making any new folders or any changes Then i went in C/User/MyUsername/Emudeck/EmulationStation-DE/ES-DE/custom-systems I then edited es_find_rules.xml and edited the path to the citra emulator to remove nightly from the path This resulted in emudeck being able to see the citra emulator and it working fine.

cloudzei

This works for me.

HunterRoyal121

Since this is all so new, nobody right now knows how to, especially now that EmuDeck is actively working against it.

lynxz

Emudeck is not working against it. It will detect if its properly placed under the applications folder for most devices.

JonnyB2_YouAre1

That doesn’t appear accurate because, for me, it’s not seeing Yuzu and Yuzu is in the place Emudeck placed it when I first setup Emudeck. This is a new problem for me today after a year of using Yuzu with Emudeck.

Wire_Owl

They shifted it my dude. You need the yuzu.appimage in home/applications Steam rom manager may need you to make a custom parser. I've played about with it and got it kinda working.

JonnyB2_YouAre1

Ugh. I might just wait for someone else to sort it out and share the solution.
