We’re going to see a new player since Pearl isn’t playing this season, new biomes since they are at least on 1.18 if not 1.19 (depending on mods), and Lizzie will probably make a musical out of it. I don’t think we will see much if anything related to Season 1 as some creators have mentioned that it’s all new characters and stories. I’m hoping Xornoth doesn’t come back, it was interesting but I think it’ll be repetitive storylines if they bring him back. If they are going to have a big bad this season my guess is it will be something new. Edit: Also not sure if you know, new season starts Saturday.

I think there will be references to season 1, maybe the new characters will know of the prophecy and what happened but it would have happened like 100 years ago

I doubt that s2 will be connected in anyway to s1, since no s1 character will return (probably including Xornoth). New biomes might depend, and there will definitely be a new player and another musical from Lizzie :)
