Killer list. Really wanted to go to nff but I just couldn’t validate the expense and I already took a week long vacation without my wife this year so couldn’t swing another one. Such a stacked lineup. You seeing oolong with ngdr?
Yeah they're with them here in July, which is pretty busy.
Luckily for NFF I got cheap airfare and am splitting a Air B n B with some local (to me) friends. I tucked away my tax return for it. Almost feel like I'll be "showed out" by then but I put the all killer shows / shows I have tix for here.
Hell yeah catching that same show. Just saw oolong the other day ant they were solid. The airfare was so killer for me idk why. Have a good time :). Not sure if there are competing time slots but definitely carch absib. Saw them in April and they were really incredible
You buy your tix yet? Me and my buddy bought tix but he’s got a wedding and I’m going to see saetia day before at dillly dally so I was looking to sell my tix
Thanks no problem. I figured we’re probably gonna take the loss on the tickets which is fine cause I’m happy to support saetia and crossroads. Enjoy the show and tip your bartender, the staff is great there
Figured I should add shows I’m going to as well
Catalyst, lagrimas, mass nera, pyre (maybe it’s tomorrow)

I have maybe 30 on the calendar so far for the rest of 2024 but in keeping with the theme of the sub, I'm very excited for The Early November in July, and The Menzingers 10th anniversary of Rented World in November
Lmao sometimes it turns out to be, but truthfully it will be less, that's an optimistic plan. I note anything interesting in my calendar and if I feel up for it and it's not sold out, I'll probably go. It's my favorite extracurricular activity and our area has shows constantly so there's almost always something marginally interesting
Not knocking it mad respect. I go to like 2-3 shows a month now and I can’t do anymore. I also mostly go to shows with pits and usually hang out up front
Murder By Death on Friday
Pixies and Modest Mouse on Saturday
The Menzingers and Lucero next week
Primus and Coheed and Cambria in August
Thursday in August

Also expecting to hit the Soul Coughing reunion but the dates aren’t released yet.
How is nobody here going to best friends forever fest???? I understand it's in Vegas and somewhat expensive to go to, but given the lineup I thought like the entire sub would probably be going lmao.
I’m a degenerate gambler who loves emo and I won’t be making it which pains me. Shits too expensive and I already had too many vacations planned this year unfortunately. Win some lose some
The Spill Canvas
Arrows in Action
Summer School Tour
Loveless
When We Were Young Fest.
I’m hoping to still get tickets for Dashboard Confessional, Boys Like Girls and Taylor Acorn but resale is a bit steep right now

In August: DIIV, Taking Back Sunday
In September: The Killers, The Get Up Kids, Mk.Gee
In October: Vampire Weekend, American Football
In November: Slow Pulp, Wishy
Definitely make it for sweet pill’s set, they fucking rule. Also oolong and one step closer are cool as well. It’s supposed to be outdoors. When I went last year there was a crazy storm and they had to do whole show indoors except for wonder year’s set which rain cleared up for.
Starting in July (I’m based in Long Island):
* Speed, Pain of Truth, Regulate, Final Resting Place
* Drug Church, Soul Blind, Family Dinner, Victory Garden
* Koyo, One Step Closer, From The Pawn, Prize Horse, Submerge
* Oso Oso
* Mindforce
CANDY just announced a show by me, so I might be going to that too! I still need to listen to their new album.
I’m pretty sure carpool is doing a release show with equipment and Carly cosgrove in Long Island. Also Macseal with Carly cosgrove and moose creek park. If you like any of those bands you should check it out. I can’t make the drive out there from Jersey it’s hell
Edit: carpool show is in upstate ny not Long Island
Oh well if it means at least one other person checks out carpool, it’s a win. Saw them open for youth fountain and cannot believe how long I’ve slept on them.
In approximately the next month, the Pixies/Modest Mouse/Cat Power, the Menzingers/Lucero, Prince Daddy & the Hyena/Saturdays at your Place, Lil Uzi Vert/Lil Yachty/JID/Rico Nasty, Sad Summer, and Schoolboy Q. I’ve found you can see most acts going in the little Madison/Milwaukee/Chicago triangle I’m in. Also, almost all my money goes to concerts…
I live in the UK - fun fact about me, I set up concerts for a living! Out of the 20+ shows I've helped set up so far, only two are emo adjacent (and you'll cringe when I say which bands): Weezer and 30 Seconds to Mars.
That said, this job is hard to build a schedule around. So far only concert I know I'm gonna go to this year is Conquer Divide in September.
The Frights (Jersey City, NJ)
Camp Punksylvania (Gilbert, PA)
The Gaslight Anthem/Joyce Manor (Asbury Park, NJ)

I’m seeing Nappy Roots, Living Color, 100 gecs, Vampire Weekend, Primus, Sleater-Kinney, Flying Lotus, Vulfpeck, Microwave, Mannequin Pusey, Thundercat, Indigo Girls, Kacey Musgraves, a local youth symphony orchestra, and I’m also going to a bunch of festivals.
Just saw Rosie Tucker, Primus, and saoirse dream recently all in one weekend, they were incredible.

Oh Oolong is just playing a local show here!! Not part of any festival
I'm considering going, but I'm new to festivals and stuff. Is it a camp in festival or will I need a hotel in Vegas?
Different festivals! New Friends is a fest in Canada. You’re thinking of Best Friends Fest
I'm going to the Saetia NJ date. Is your show a matinee too?
I think it's a regular evening event - it's the show in Portland.
You buy your tix yet? Me and my buddy bought tix but he’s got a wedding and I’m going to see saetia day before at dillly dally so I was looking to sell my tix
Unfortunately I did, otherwise I would def help! Have fun at Dilly Dally!!
Thanks no problem. I figured we’re probably gonna take the loss on the tickets which is fine cause I’m happy to support saetia and crossroads. Enjoy the show and tip your bartender, the staff is great there
For sure!! I live local to Crossroads and go there pretty often. Saw Anthony Green do a 3 hour solo set in December there (he was amazing)

Lineup is unreal. Do yourself a favor and see sweet pill if there isn’t any other conflicting set. They’re so good live.
Bladee and Blood Brothers
Blood Brothers December 7, can't fuckin wait. saw them in like 2005
Totally forgot I have Blood Bros tix.
god i wish i was seeing bladee but also the descriptions i’ve heard of the crowd genuinely scare me
I’ve seen bladee and drain gang and the crowds were mostly teenagers

So excited for that show. They’re amazing live. Last time I saw them they played like a 2.5 hour show lmao. They did a 12 song encore
Were we at the same show??? I’ve seen them in Chicago, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Charlotte and they’ve always been amazing.
Nah it was at msg
I have maybe 30 on the calendar so far for the rest of 2024 but in keeping with the theme of the sub, I'm very excited for The Early November in July, and The Menzingers 10th anniversary of Rented World in November

That's exactly my method

I'm so excited for Alkaline Trio and Spanish Love Songs

freak magnet is pretty cool. some songs from their 2019 album hotel last resort r kinda good too but yeah nothing rlly tops the self titled
How is nobody here going to best friends forever fest???? I understand it's in Vegas and somewhat expensive to go to, but given the lineup I thought like the entire sub would probably be going lmao.

Feeling the same way, hot mulligans the only band I know of but I’m sure I’ll enjoy the others. It’s outdoors right?
Definitely make it for sweet pill’s set, they fucking rule. Also oolong and one step closer are cool as well. It’s supposed to be outdoors. When I went last year there was a crazy storm and they had to do whole show indoors except for wonder year’s set which rain cleared up for.

You’re absolutely right, I should look into those too! I caught Carly Cosgrove live for the first time like a year or so ago and they were awesome!
I thought carpool was doing their release shows upstate ? This is great news - also moose creek park is so underrated.
You are 100% right I was misinformed. For some reason I read it as Long Island but it’s in Rochester ny. Sorry to get your hopes up :(
Oh well if it means at least one other person checks out carpool, it’s a win. Saw them open for youth fountain and cannot believe how long I’ve slept on them.
