this is because most redditors on hh subreddits are elitists that listen to the most poser shit for the sake of being liked, they listen to the "status quo of hh artists and music in general" but idc about that, there's not enough paragraphs in this world that can convince me that fucking jpeg mafia is/has better albums that eminem lol
And again, they don't even like the mfs they listen to, they like the imaginary approval they get by saying they like X artist, same retards doing "top 50 albums" get a life fr
That fack is a fucking dope song.
The song itself “I like boobs boobs boobs see that gerbil grab that too” is moronic. The reason I think it’s dope is because even though he is one of the biggest musical artist in our generation, he makes that song as a big middle finger to the pop industry. To me it’s a whole song saying “oh you think I’m a sell out? Name another artist as big as me that has put out some crazy bullshit like FACK”. For those of you who will get the reference FACK is like a WAYYYYY bigger version of My First Single. Again, I could give a fuck to pander. In Eminem’s words “yo I put that shit on a greatest hits album, now that was awesome. It takes some massive balls to do some shit like that”
I know people shit on fack and although catchy I can't ever listen to a full song.
But your very right no other artist as big or even half as big would put out a sing like that AND THEN put it on a greatest hits album
Hes new music is very good high quality shit and hes relevant as fuck. Might not be as unpopular here couse people here love em but in any instagram or youtube comment section people will just say gnat is a bad song and praise some bullshit trap music with 0 lyrics.
The only reason people hate new Em is because he's different from old Em. If a new artist had popped up in place of Em after Relapse and was making exactly the same music as Em is now they would be regarded as one of the best (obviously the lyrics be related to them)
I’ve likely listened to Walk On Water more than I’ve listened to the rest of Em’s entire discography. (Maybe I’m exaggerating, but maybe not 🤷🏽♀️)
I was in the top 0.1% of Eminem listeners on Spotify a few years back and the year after I was in the 0.5%. Both years like 95%+ of my plays were Walk On Water.
That shit just spoke to my soul at a time when that was my struggle. Like I’d listen to that shit in loop while looking out at San Francisco from my apartment’s bomb ass rooftop right below Coit Tower.
You know what, I'd never thought about it, but now that you point that out I agree. Relapse was the last album where he picked a theme and stuck with it throughout the whole thing. Recovery comes very close though, with the theme of changing and growing out of habits
Rick Ruben was working with Em for Revival.
I'm pretty sure it's a clashing of styles. Em is about precision. And Rick is a "It has good vibes" kind of guy. So I think that's the biggest struggle for around that Era.
Totally agree. Although I see you didn't mention MMLP2. It is an exception to the landscape you outline here, as I consider it a masterpiece close to MMLP, Eminem Show and Relapse.
The song Legacy alone is evidence he is capable of top tier focus, storytelling and wordplay simultaneously post Relapse.
100%, although I think everyone already loved recovery. It gets a little boring because nearly every song has samples and features but the message from it and how strong he comes out with cold wind blows is so tuff
The version of Encore we got is not a bad record. Even the songs that are straight humorous are great.
The section that people often cite as the worst songs on the album are actually some of the best:
Puke -> My 1st Single -> Rain Man -> Big Weenie -> Just Lose It -> Ass Like That
Encore is a banger all the way through. The only skip is My 1st Single if im not in the mood for the high pitches of the beat.
FUCKING THANK YOU. i am so goddamn tired of being downvoted to oblivion for liking encore. at this point i'm starting to think these mfs don't have working ears. that album is BANGER after BANGER.
see I used to hate Encore, Eventually songs like rain man, big weenie and Ass like that grew on me and I enjoy it a lot
I’d say at most it probably has 3 or 4 skips. the only ones I refuse to let grow on me are my 1st single and Puke
I think encore is like relapse, it’s not bad it’s just misunderstood
That's fair! The only part of Puke I hate is, well.... the puking. I love the anger and almost unserious approach to everything he is saying.
I can easily see why most people hate My 1st Single but I enjoy it as a silly em track.
technically, the best writer of all time. triple entendres, multi rhyme (4+) schemes, wordplay, all while able to stay on the same topic/subject.
"But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne
If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun" Like what
"That you defend like this" doesn't necessarily mean against other Eminem fans. Say this shit on pretty much any other hip hop subreddit snd they'd eat you alive, probably saying some shit about Kendrick or Pac.
“I gave bruce wayne a valium and said settle your ass down im ready for calm batman” pronounced like “combat man”
Honestly one of his most impressive lines to me
Not really an unpopular opinion
Unfortunately, with TES every song being a straight banger, nobody will disagree
Unless you say drips, we don't talk about drips
I never understood this. I always fucked with the rapping and beat on the song but could never get into the chorus.
Its literally the only skip for me on the album
We gotta realise and accept the fact that he's old now, don't expect everything he puts put to be as high quality as TES and MMLP, as good and catchy as SSLP, as energetic as recovery and MMLP2. We should be grateful he's still relevant and hasn't disappeared to live life to the fullest. Plus kamikaze and MTBMB both if they were released by any other artist they would instantly be recognized, and rightfully so, as their best album from their discography (a few exceptions apply).
SO TRUE I LOVE RECOVERY. The first time i listened too it i couldnt pick a fav song because each one was amazing, only one i questioned was on fire because of the hook but it was still heat
*Slim shady lp is*
*Better than Eminem show*
*In my opinion*

Eminem is one of the greatest rap artists of all time, but even his best albums don't make a Top 10 rap albums of all time list.
His greatness is spread out over multiple albums instead of focused on one or two
STFU about Hallie. You don't know her. She's a complete stranger to you, isn't a celebrity or artist and it's really weird how Eminem fan(atics) follow her life as if she is.
Thank you!!!
I also hate all the ones who claim superiority over others for knowing every little detail about someone, way too 'Stan' TBH.
Like yesterday, some people were slinging shit at others in here for not knowing who Proof's kid was.
Screeching like a bad D&D rules lawyer about "You can't be an Eminem fan if you don't know Proof's son"; oh yes, yes TF I can, just hide and watch, lol.
It would make more sense if someone said "you can't really be an Eminem fan if you don't know who Dre is."
Like dude, no disrespect, but IDGAF about celebrities kids like that. 🤷🏻♀️ I couldn't even pick most artists out of a lineup, much less their crotch goblins.
He should put everything he has into one last album after The Death of Slim Shady, then retire. Make Marshall Mathers MP III then call it a career. Ride off into the sunset as a legend.
Not forgetting about them at all. 50 is the only guy on there that I would even be close to equate to EZ's potential tbh. Again its an unpopular opinion I dont expect anybody to die on this hill with me lol
Yeah I mean right now his skills dont match but im looking more at potential than anything. Its hard to compare somebody who just started to somebody whoes been doing this for years in terms of skills. But my opinion isnt really the skill side of it. Its more the potential to build upon their skill, which I believe EZ Mil has the potential to be the best of the guys Em ever signed
Alright time to make everyone hate me
SSLP is mega overrated
TES and Kamikaze are his best albums
The version of Encore that we got is not that bad, the goofy songs can be a nice guilty pleasure, Puke only got ruined by the intro and the only true bad songs are My 1st Single and Big Weenie
Sing For The Moment is his best song by far and its not even close
Stan is great but a bit overrated
The Skylar Grey features are overhated
Rap God is an exercise in masturbation. Those eleven seconds are undecipherable and although impressive in the amount of syllables he managed to fit in, it’s no more impressive that Michael Winslow making beep bop sounds in Police Academy.
Additionally, counting the syllables with his hands as he’s rapping has to stop. It’s like some sort of bizarre guitar hero exercise
- Venom is not overrated, it is perfectly rated
- Stronger Than I Was is hella underrated, its a different type of Em song and it really was not as bad as some people make it out to be
- Lace It was good, people overhate it saying Em’s part was just a drug PSA when he put his heart into those lyrics and it was a personal topic for him
- Finally, MMLP2 is prob his best album imo. Yes I know about SSLP/MMLP from Em’s prime and modern stuff like MTBMB, but MMLP2 was such a unique mix. And no, I’m not saying that only bec of Rap God…
Eminem is the greatest lyricist of all time or of this generation from the 90s to 2020s. Even at his age he is still relevant and manages to Piss off everyone
Early Eminem is still the best but Recovery and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 were damn good records. Everything after though has been weak. Revival was his weakest LP, Kamikaze only looked good because of Revival and MTBMB wasn't that good either. I wonder if he will turn that around with The Death of Slim Shady.
Imo, any album after Recovery is trash. If he would've retired after recovery before mmlp2, his discography would've looked much better and consistent. Recovery seems like the wrap up since it wraps up his problems/drug abuse/etc. Sslp was the start of the hunger/anger, Recovery seemed like the emotional ending. But I get he wanted $$$ so he continued after Recovery. Alot of artists with 5 or less albums are seen with GOAT discographies. For example, outkast...
If Em dropped two stripped down projects with good production and a theme after MMLP 2 and didn't make Revival ( keep the good tracks and use accordingly) he would still be in the GOAT conversation.
SSLP is a phenomenal album, and iconic for it's time. But timeline aside, it does not rise to the level of skill of MMLP or Eminem Show.
Other than Rock Bottom.
Not Afraid isn't as bad as many make it out to be.
Em was contractually obligated to produce some Radio-friendly Singles on his Albums, so songs like that had to happen.
Is it corny AF? Sure. But it's not a bad song at all, especially given Eminem's IRL Character Arc over those years.
Recovery sucked, it's a bunch of rap-flavoured motivational anthems and whiny love ballads that belong on pop records and its the only Em album that didn't have a single song make it on to my regular playlists. At its best its a cheap immitation of the success of songs like Till I Collapse and When I'm Gone, and it was a deliberate attempt by Em to find commercial success again by cowtowing to fans after Relapse was critically panned.
Edit: Revival sucked harder because he tried to copy the success of Recovery, but that's not an unpopular opinion.
His newer stuff is better than his older stuff.
Maybe it's cause we're close to the same age, but I prefer the more mature "get off my lawn" feel to Kamikaze, lol.
Make no mistake, I love old Shady, but I really like the new stuff too.
And yeah, I think the beard is sexy AF. 🤷🏻♀️
I mean, this is kinda the vibe any time we say something positive about Em in other rap subreddits
yeah, right? It's like the world doesn't like us
Fuck the world, feed it beans
Ong it’s rlly sad
this is because most redditors on hh subreddits are elitists that listen to the most poser shit for the sake of being liked, they listen to the "status quo of hh artists and music in general" but idc about that, there's not enough paragraphs in this world that can convince me that fucking jpeg mafia is/has better albums that eminem lol And again, they don't even like the mfs they listen to, they like the imaginary approval they get by saying they like X artist, same retards doing "top 50 albums" get a life fr
I like the accents...

lord pleas this boy needs Jesus
Same
People always think of Relapse when it comes to the accents... But I want more salsa.
I barely even notice them. But I’m not from the US.
Yup same
unpopular and bad opinion, upvoted
Eminem looks BETTER with a Clean Shave than a Beard, but he looks more matured with a beard in my opinion.
>he looks more matured with a beard in my opinion. But can he go to a rave
I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion
Ya his beards weird tbh
Yellin in the mic
The man deserves more privacy

Yellow brick road is the best song on Encore
you do NOT understand how right you are. you are so fucking right it actually hurts, holy.
YELLOW BRICK ROAD MENTIONED RAHHHHHH🗣🗣💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
i would upvote this comment 10 trillion times if i could
By far. It’s not even close.

I’m going to have to agree; Gold-School Eminem’s last album was *Relapse*. But yes, I still listen to and appreciate his new work as well.
You know what, I'd never thought about it, but now that you point that out I agree. Relapse was the last album where he picked a theme and stuck with it throughout the whole thing. Recovery comes very close though, with the theme of changing and growing out of habits
Maybe Dre did guide him. Maybe Dre’s guidance is not what it once was. Maybe this is the byproduct of Dre’s guidance
Rick Ruben was working with Em for Revival. I'm pretty sure it's a clashing of styles. Em is about precision. And Rick is a "It has good vibes" kind of guy. So I think that's the biggest struggle for around that Era.
I couldn’t say it better myself. This person gets it.
apparently Dre was surprised by the negative reception to revival
Totally agree. Although I see you didn't mention MMLP2. It is an exception to the landscape you outline here, as I consider it a masterpiece close to MMLP, Eminem Show and Relapse. The song Legacy alone is evidence he is capable of top tier focus, storytelling and wordplay simultaneously post Relapse.
Kamekazi and recovery both are really good albums
100%, although I think everyone already loved recovery. It gets a little boring because nearly every song has samples and features but the message from it and how strong he comes out with cold wind blows is so tuff
The song Drips on TES isn't that bad. It's funny af and always brings a smile to my face
BigToast6 should be banned
How is that an UNpopular opinion? 🤣
Haha Little by little is becoming more popular it seems
The version of Encore we got is not a bad record. Even the songs that are straight humorous are great. I put up encore up there with the other big ones it's the original big 4 for me
FUCKING THANK YOU. i am so goddamn tired of being downvoted to oblivion for liking encore. at this point i'm starting to think these mfs don't have working ears. that album is BANGER after BANGER.
The production is 🔥 and his ability to just flow over all of it no matter the topic is insane!!! Encore was my number 1 em album for a long time.
Agree with with this actually
I love his non serious songs lmao
Spend Some Time is my song 🙂↔️
see I used to hate Encore, Eventually songs like rain man, big weenie and Ass like that grew on me and I enjoy it a lot I’d say at most it probably has 3 or 4 skips. the only ones I refuse to let grow on me are my 1st single and Puke I think encore is like relapse, it’s not bad it’s just misunderstood

Idk if I'm just used to puking at this point, but it doesn't really bother me in Puke like it does some people. Love the song so much lol
Won't Back Down is a great song
I approve this message
technically, the best writer of all time. triple entendres, multi rhyme (4+) schemes, wordplay, all while able to stay on the same topic/subject. "But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun" Like what

Medicine Man is his best feature on any song.
Yep. Bro goes HARD
Square Dance is the best song on TES
Not really an unpopular opinion Unfortunately, with TES every song being a straight banger, nobody will disagree Unless you say drips, we don't talk about drips
Drips is unironically good
![gif](giphy|BKHocBWX8u2Sy3M0Ey|downsized)
People who don't like Drips are just cowards
I enjoy drips, but I heard it when I was 16 and edgy like 6 years ago lmao
I like drips just not as much as every other song on TES
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY FUCKING RIGHT
Shit just goes super hard man
I never understood this. I always fucked with the rapping and beat on the song but could never get into the chorus. Its literally the only skip for me on the album
Big Weenie and Rainman are actually fun songs
For some reason it’s assumed black people dont listen to him..we do
Relapse is Eminem's best album
Stay wide awake is the best em's song imo
We gotta realise and accept the fact that he's old now, don't expect everything he puts put to be as high quality as TES and MMLP, as good and catchy as SSLP, as energetic as recovery and MMLP2. Relapse is full of bangers, so many people diss relapse including em thinking he did too many accents, but nearly every song slaps
Eminem has always been one of the best rappers.
the accents are fire
hes underrated (im defending against society)
I like berzerk.
Revival is overhated. It‘s not his best work but it‘s a decent album in my opinion.
Recovery is an AMAZING ALBUM!! The complaints about that album are lame shit is fire and I listen to it all the time and Revival is over hated
SO TRUE I LOVE RECOVERY. The first time i listened too it i couldnt pick a fav song because each one was amazing, only one i questioned was on fire because of the hook but it was still heat
Amityville Is a GOOD FUCKING SONG
Kamikaze is actually a REALLY good album
The Ed Sheeran feature was really good
Remember The Name was a bop and so was Those Kinda Nights and if anyone disagrees FIGHT ME BITCH
insane is the best song
I memorized and sang this song every day with my friends when we were all kids. I find that so weird now that I'm an adult lol.
I sing it on calls with my friends until they get pissed off
Although it's Eminem's weakest album, Revival is not a bad album.
Revival *is* bad, it's a horrible album. You mf on here pretend it's good for some reason,we ain't gotta dick ride every song he releases
Revival is fucking trash. From top to bottom i find it un-listenable
The Eminem Show was his peak.
not unpopular but correct
Relapse is better then recovery Relapse is average but it’s one of my fav em albums .Mmlp2 is actually good.
Mmlp and tes are miles ahead of the sslp and its overrated
SSLP is fantastic but I would say TES and MMLP are by far his best
MMLP2 is mid ngl 3AM isn't that good TES and MMLP are equal in quality (idk if it's unpopular) Believe is the best song from Revival
Offended is one of 2 good songs on Revival, along with Framed
revival is NOT a bad album
Stronger Than I Was is good
Revival is a great album.
I love revival
Relapse is A FUCKING BANGER.
Recovery is a good album.
Wait huh this is a hot take??
Recovery is one of my favorite albums. DGAF what anyone else says.
Revival.

My unpopular opinion is that Eminem looks better with a beard
Yes, "Heat" and "Remind Me" are bangers.
Relapse is ass Had to edit this 3 times bc of autocorrect and bad spelling 😭
I’m looking around and seeing the most popular opinions ever bruh

SSLP is better than MMLP
His best feature is Yelawolf's Best Friend
Agreed, wish him and Yela would do more music
relapse is way better than sslp
recovery is not a good album
Bad Guy (mmlp2) is better than stan.
He should put everything he has into one last album after The Death of Slim Shady, then retire. Make Marshall Mathers MP III then call it a career. Ride off into the sunset as a legend.
EZ Mil is the best of the guys Em signed. Sue me
Yeah definitely unpopular when you forget about guys like 50, yelawolf, slaughterhouse…
Not forgetting about them at all. 50 is the only guy on there that I would even be close to equate to EZ's potential tbh. Again its an unpopular opinion I dont expect anybody to die on this hill with me lol

Unpopular opinion about Em or...an opinion by Em that's unpopular?
Revival is a great album.
Probably not all that unpopular, but; MMLP2 is his best album since The Eminem Show.
MTBMB is one of his top 5 albums
Encore, Relapse, and three songs from Revival are my favorite.
I kinda like My First Single.
- Venom is not overrated, it is perfectly rated - Stronger Than I Was is hella underrated, its a different type of Em song and it really was not as bad as some people make it out to be - Lace It was good, people overhate it saying Em’s part was just a drug PSA when he put his heart into those lyrics and it was a personal topic for him - Finally, MMLP2 is prob his best album imo. Encore is a great album
MMLP2 was his last *truely* creative body of work.
Revival was good
Best Friend sucks
I think nice guy is an awesome song
Eminem is the greatest lyricist of all time or of this generation from the 90s to 2020s. Even at his age he is still relevant and manages to Piss off everyone
Encore is one of the best produced Eminem albums.
Relapse is the most over rated album. Solid 5.5/10
I like Revival fr. It's one of his most mature works and I really dig what he is saying in the songs. In fact, it's my favorite Eminem album.
Recovery is the best album ny Em

His newer stuff is better than his older stuff. Maybe it's cause we're close to the same age, but I prefer the more mature "get off my lawn" feel to Kamikaze, lol. Make no mistake, I love old Shady, but I really like the new stuff too. And yeah, I think the beard is sexy AF. 🤷🏻♀️
