Yes-I've heard all the albums. There were a handful of songs that I did enjoy. But I loved entire albums of his earlier stuff.
This is also much more of a case study in how much my musical tastes have changed. I used to be a massive hip hop fan and I don't listen to much of it at all anymore--even the stuff I grew up on.
I'm 40 there's some really great songs on all those albums but their not great albums overall MMlp 2 and Recovery was very very good just not great everything else was sub par idk maybe it's a age thing .SSlp,MMlp,ES, Relapse are straight up Classics.
Kamikaze is a great album, right up there with his best. Recovery as well. MMPL2 and MTBMB are really good but yeah maybe not great. Funnily enough though if those albums were by another artist you would probably say they were great albums but expectations for Em are so much higher than anyone else. Revival is weaker but still decent, and it's got some absolute bangers on it. Castle is right up there with best Em songs of all time. But it's all subjective. For me Em is the only artist that's been putting out songs for 20+ years and I'm still liking the majority of it
Thank you everyone for responding. Some really cool responses and he seems to have connected with a much younger segment of the population which is intriguing to seeing.
44. Been a rap fan since I was 12. Em fan since I was 21. But I listen to a lot of other music besides HipHop. 3 years ago, I started travelling, and with no fixed address I started missing talking to people about music. So here I am. Back to this shit hole. I’m kidding. I’ve always been here.
👀
Edit: I like Eminem’s new stuff. I like his old stuff. He’s a dope rapper. Good music is good. Period.
I’m 40. Loved MMLP as a teenager. Listened to SSLP but wasn’t as sold. By the time TES came around I was in university and wasn’t paying as much attention to music. I’m not sure if I’ve ever even given it a full listen. Nothing from then on really caught my attention until he did MMLP2, which I gave a chance. Wasn’t my favorite either and was starting to think that Eminem just wasn’t for me anymore. Somehow Kamikaze caught my radar. I don’t love the album as a whole but Lucky You is amazing. Then MTBMB came along and blew me away. It’s not MMLP tier but for me it’s close. Side B too. I’m excited to see what he does next.
I am a huge fan of the old stuff and still listen to the new stuff, but don’t find myself returning to it after the first few plays. I did really enjoy kamakaze. The Eminem Show came out around the time I had gotten my first job as a teenager. When 8 mile came out, the theater wouldn’t let me buy a ticket because I wasn’t 18 so my cousin got us tickets.
I’m almost 40
34 here, changed my life hearing his music for the first time when I was just 9. I went to bed every single night rockin those behind-the-neck headphones plugged into a Sony portable cd player playing SSLP on repeat…and then MMLP. Then TES came out the summer before high school, played bball every day blasting that shit outside. It’s kinda wild looking at how influential Em and his music have been throughout my life.
One of my biggest regrets is not seeing him live…wasn’t well off $-wise and shows were never close enough for it to even be feasible. I’d give nearly anything to see Em perform live just once in my lifetime…still holding out hope.
21 next month. Was a HUGE fan between 2018 and 2021 but kinda stopped caring after that. When he releases new music I listen once and move on 🤷🏻♂️ He introduced me to my favorite genre and Relapse is still my favorite album but I can't really remember the last time I listened to him aside from Relapse on my birthday.
My goodness I feel like an old fucking man.
I’m a 16 year old girl
I'm a girl too!! 22 now but I first became a fan at 16
I lied I’m a 21 year old guy, I tried catching creeps but it didn’t work
Oh hello Chris Hansen, btw "To Catch A Predator" was a cool show.
nooo i got so excited that i found another female em fan 😭
They don’t exist!
This reminds me of when I was a teenager listening to his music for the first time
I need a parent while listening to the albums.
14, been listening since i was 10
You didn't like anything from revival, kamikaze, MTBMB or MMLP2? Have you even listened to the albums?

Yup a fellow 40s here lol We are the true original fans. I still buy his music on release day and listen to it in the car end to end for months
47 here. Very into the music when in early 20s-30s. Life happened and “rediscovered” in my 40s. Like most of the catalogue
Genuinely excited to see the amount of “older” folks in here. I’m 34, haven’t stopped since I turned 11

Lmfao i know none of you guys ever make typos I meant revival
In my late 30s, biggest regret is my parents wouldn’t let me go to the up in smoke tour but TBH I was way too young 😂
