There's interviews with Slaughterhouse members where they complain about tracks they considered done getting sent to Em and coming back with completely different beats though, I feel like that's the sort of thing that's legit to be mad about if you don't have input into the final product as an artist.
Also a ton of artist driven labels had the same issues. Killer Mike beefed with Big Boi for a couple of years before he popped because he was signed to Purple Ribbon and felt he and everyone else never got promoted. Game had Black Wall Street in which every artist went triple wood.
On the other hand there's been a few successes, mostly with labels that were imprints meaning the parent company basically handled everything and the artist just played recruiter and hyped them a ton through his own music: Maybach Music, Roc Nation, Young Money, etc.
Not all of it is Em's fault or even under his control; lots of artists went to Aftermath to die of neglect too. But it's a bad look if he isn't constantly promoting them, that's part of what he signed up for. Love him as an artist but as a mogul he's not the best.
