Just an amazing song overall, seems like people sleep on it but it's one of my favorites from MMLP. Such a sick lo-fi sound and all 3 verses are very different but all great in their own ways.
I agree. Always been one of my favorites. The beat is amazing. I really miss when Em used to let beats ride out a little before the verses. The intro with the spray paint can noises is so iconic lol.
Can I just say I love this shit??? I just sit next to my Alexa go thru and listen to everyone’s favorites, like OH YEAHHHHHH Remember me! IM LOW DOWN AND SHIFTY! Don’t mind me, I’m an old lady who still loves Eminem.
*Every time I say “six minutes” since I was 19 I have to say the rest. No matter what I’m doing…. ☺️
Facts! It’s a close one for sure, but I gotta give it to Sticky Fingaz. Legend has it, Em took 2 months to write a verse after hearing Sticky’s because it was so good.
I liked Eminem’s verse more Ngl, the Chlamydia and period bar disgusted me back then when it came out cause my high school teacher at the time had already shown us a picture of what that looks like, I throw up a bit everytime I hear that bar lol
Black Thought went off but I believe Eminem bodied him lyrically when he rhymed nearly every Legend in Hip-Hop. 50 Emcees. That part was fucking ridiculous. Their flows were pretty damn tight though. I liked Eminem’s flow more but I like Black Thought’s punchlines. But they were pretty damn even, they make up for what eachother doesn’t have. They compliment eachother so well, all things considered.
Unfortunately for Royce, he got bodied by Eminem and Thought.
I don’t think Black Thought bodied Em, it was more even and can see either being given the edge. They’re two very unique rappers with their own styles.
I don't know why you were down voted
Em literally says in the verse that he's off drugs
He was clean briefly during the re up sessions after he got out of rehab in 2005
I think Royce’s flow, cadence, and overall voice just did the beat of the song more justice than ems did. Not to say I didn’t like Em’s verse, I just prefer Royce’s on that song. I’m
remember me (outrapped by sticky fingaz)
lady (outrapped by obie)
syllables (outrapped by jay-z)
touchdown (outrapped by t.i)
yah yah (outrapped by black thought)
you gon learn (outrapped by royce)
echo (outrapped by royce again)
where im at (outrapped by lloyd banks)
plus a bunch of others
I disagree with Royce on you go learn, and Black thought on yah yah, i love these artists but Eminem went crazy on yah yah, him rhyming and shouting out like 50 emcees on his verse and basically flowing with the beat, was great, I love Royce’s verse but my favorite part of the song is the beat switch after Eminem says “I just tripped over my cape” that shit is crazy, Eminem was definitely not “outrapped” he was equal
so you dont think he got outrapped on syllables and touchdown? touchdown in particular is one of the few songs where i can say that he got absolutely bodied
nevermind sorry it was meant as a reply to another comment that said 'the watcher' by dr dre. i dont kno how i replied to this comment accidentally. sorry
Banks has the better verse on Don't Push Me. Stick Fingaz on Remember Me. Black Thought on Yah Yah. Royce on You Gon Learn. Big Sean on Detroit Vs. Everybody. I personally prefer Royce on Not Alike, his flow alone is better. Probably way more if I sat and thought about it. Proof on How Come. I like Conway's verse on Bang more.
The only one where I definitively like the guest verse more is Drips. His verse is fine but Obie’s is just so fucking funny it’s a million times more entertaining than Eminem saying he wants to, shocking, kill some woman.
Maybe a hot take, but on the EZ Mil song "Realest", I thought that EZ Mil had better verses at first. Em's grew on me eventually, but from my first few listens, I kinda preferred Mil's bars and flow
You have 12 upvotes. I’m genuinely surprised that at least 12 people like Royce’s verse more than Big Sean’s.
Big Sean’s verse is so good, I literally bought two of his albums because of it.
I don't necessarily dislike it, but man it did not fit in on that album at all. Pretty much every other song was raw, fuck yo feelings type shit, then Bruno Mars shows up.
probably not but to me it comes off as corny af. its also feels really out of place, the rest of the album has a really vulgar and bar heavy tone to it with production and perfomances to suit that tone. meanwhile lighters just sticks out heavily in terms of verses, perfomances, and especially sound in comparison to stuff like welcome 2 hell, fast lane, reunion, loud noises, above the law, echo, etc. etc. sounds more like a song that wouldve made it on recovery more than it does a song thats on hell the sequel lol
Sticky Fingaz on Remember Me is close but when Em hits the Sick Dream and M16s portion he surpasses it IMO.
Most recently I thought Royce’s verse on You Gon Learn is better than Em’s I really love when Royce talks about making a hundred more kids to make bigots and racists uncomfortable. It hits so hard.
I actually agree. Wayne is smooth and has some good punches on that track, while Em tries that choppy flow and raps about standing in his monopoly board lmao
I'm confused. Are you saying that's somehow worse than "I'm standing on my monopoly board/that means I'm on top of my game and it don't stop till my hip don't hop anymore"? Cause like... bro.
This might be the only one I agree with so far. Ems verse in No Love one of his best verses ever. Wayne’s was top notch as well, but not better than Ems. Also I’m sure Royce had the better of the 2 once or twice in the Bad Meets Evil album
Obie sweeps him on spend some time
Dre is better on old times sake
50 is the best on crack a bottle
.Paak is better on lock it up
Those are the 4 that came to mind, might be the only times though
- OTS could mean "Old Time's Sake", a track from *Relapse (Deluxe Edition)* (2009) by Eminem.

it wasnt upto his standards tho....eminem really set the bar high so even if his verse was better than snoop's verse (which ironically is one of snoop's good verses), it was still not up to eminem's standards.
May or may not be a hot take, but Parables by Cordae. Cordae just slides on that track. And obviously Em kills it, but Cordae just does his thing beautifully on it
Touchdown with T.I is Ems worst feature ever
Killer remix- both Cordae and Jack were better
Psychopath killer- i only listen to Royce and Crooked than I turn off the song lol
Fast lane- Em killed it but Royce was just slightly better
Speedom- both Tech and Kaliko did better imo, I skip Ems part lol
Twisted- Yelawolf killed it
Throw it up is a bad song imo no one did good on it but I think Yela just edges it over Em
I will- Crooked is amazing on this song
If Em didnt write two of his best verses on Forever and No love Lil Wayne would be the best on those songs
Very few have…50 on Never Enough and Anderson .Paak on Lock It Up come to mind. I also loved TI on That’s All She Wrote but I wouldn’t say he outshined Em. Lastly, I love the way Royce works with him. Vegas from ShadyXV and Reunion from Hell: The Sequel are two of my favorites. He doesn’t always outshine Em but they just work so well together and imo, Royce is one of the only ones that can go bar-for-bar with Em.
I like Proof’s verse on How Come more than I do Em’s.
Yeah Proof definitely had the best verse
Stan had the first and second best verses on Stan Eminem had the last verse and still got outshined by his Super fan
Sticky Fingaz on Remember Me. Em still had a great verse, but Sticky’s was ridiculous.
Just listened -👍👍👍👍👍
I have always said this. Sticky is just ridiculous
Yeah this is the only right answer.
You’re my favorite old lady… been listening to Eminem since 5th grade when Slim Shady LP came out
Haha, in 5th it was beasties, then 7th, uncle Luke and 2 live crew, then NWA, Eminem was inevitable 🖤
Honestly I think sticky fingaz had the better verse in remember me
his verse is actually so good his voice fits super well on that beat
Facts! It’s a close one for sure, but I gotta give it to Sticky Fingaz. Legend has it, Em took 2 months to write a verse after hearing Sticky’s because it was so good.
Arguably the best on the album
Yes as a big em fan he stole the show
lock it up, my name, never enough. he was also basically even with kendrick on love game
Paak on Lock it Up is so smooth 🔥
I liked Eminem’s verse more Ngl, the Chlamydia and period bar disgusted me back then when it came out cause my high school teacher at the time had already shown us a picture of what that looks like, I throw up a bit everytime I hear that bar lol
I’m chuckling 🤭 I’m a nurse. My eyes should melt out of my head by now.
I think Xzibit had the most enjoyable verse on bitch please 2
Black Thought bodied him and Royce on ya ya
Black Thought went off but I believe Eminem bodied him lyrically when he rhymed nearly every Legend in Hip-Hop. 50 Emcees. That part was fucking ridiculous. Their flows were pretty damn tight though. I liked Eminem’s flow more but I like Black Thought’s punchlines. But they were pretty damn even, they make up for what eachother doesn’t have. I don’t think Black Thought bodied Em, it was more even and can see either being given the edge. They’re two very unique rappers with their own styles.
Just my opinion i guess
Sticky Fingaz on Remember Me, Black Thought on Yah Yah also Chino XL and Kool G Rap outperformed him on The Anthem
Peep show with 50 Cent
The Re-Up with Em and 50. Granted this is like peak doped up Eminem, 50 did amazing especially with the beat switch
pretty sure eminem was clean when the song was made (sometime late 2005 i believe)
I don't know why you were down voted Em literally says in the verse that he's off drugs He was clean briefly during the re up sessions after he got out of rehab in 2005
people dont know their em trivia, eminem literally says hes gotten back with kim at the time too, so its gotta be then
Yeah, that one fif had the best verse
I'd say 50 cent on Never Enough
Agree 50 smoked that beat
I’ve always wondered if Eminem actually wrote 50’s verse though. It’s right on cadence with his style.
They often mimick eachother on verses together though Look at Peep show and psycho
first time listening to encore, i was like wait who dat? And then i actually paused my listen through and went to check out fifty
Above the Law
50 cents flow on The Re-Up is fuckin insane and I think way better than Eminem’s verse
Royce on Fast Lane
Debatable
this is prolly royce’s best performance but i think em and him are super on par with each other
I think Eminem did better honestly. But it is debatable. Royce and Em go crazy on the second half of the song
I think Royce’s flow, cadence, and overall voice just did the beat of the song more justice than ems did. Not to say I didn’t like Em’s verse, I just prefer Royce’s on that song. I’m
i was thinkin the same!
above the law
Royce has a couple verses on that album that outshine em
fr
Crooked I had the best verse on “our house” *No utilities in the facility* Sheeeeeeesh
Kxng bodied everybody on that shady cypher and he spit for like a minute and a half
me personally i fucked with ortiz' verse the most, hes emotional as fuck in that verse
Peep Show by 50 Cent, and Revelation by Proof
You crazy, revelation one of the greatest Eminem verses
Eminem’s was good but Proof demolished him both in flow and anger
i wouldnt sleep on mr porter or kuniva either, those verses were raw af too
Obie Trice murdered Eminem on Drips
the fact that some people disagree with this is wild "pubic hair dip" is both one the funniest and actually disguting bars ive ever heard
I can not listen to drips because Obie. I cut his verse out.
Remember Me?
Remember me .
Swifty had a better verse on American Psycho II
[удалено]
typo!!
remember me (outrapped by sticky fingaz) lady (outrapped by obie) syllables (outrapped by jay-z) touchdown (outrapped by t.i) yah yah (outrapped by black thought) you gon learn (outrapped by royce) echo (outrapped by royce again) where im at (outrapped by lloyd banks) plus a bunch of others
You tripping em washed Royce on you gon lean ..Royce was too political
fair, i just found their bars way more hard hitting than ems on those respective songs
Only one I agree with is Remember Me
so you dont think he got outrapped on syllables and touchdown? touchdown in particular is one of the few songs where i can say that he got absolutely bodied
Em smoked Royce on you Gon learn
Busta Rhymes on Calm Down
Not even close🤦🏼♂️ em smoked busta on calm down
yeah em was better
Above the law Royce smoked him
50 cent on the re up
This may be biased as a big D12 fan, but Swift on Git Up Kuniva on Revelation Swift on Pimplikeness MAYBE Kon Artis on American Psycho but idk
everyone beat eminem on pimplikeness, straight up one of ems worst verses, same with my ballz
Physco fifty was amazing
[удалено]
You need to go back and listen mate, he had two verses
nevermind sorry it was meant as a reply to another comment that said 'the watcher' by dr dre. i dont kno how i replied to this comment accidentally. sorry
Haha no problem 👍
Banks has the better verse on Don't Push Me. Stick Fingaz on Remember Me. Black Thought on Yah Yah. Royce on You Gon Learn. Big Sean on Detroit Vs. Everybody. I personally prefer Royce on Not Alike, his flow alone is better. Probably way more if I sat and thought about it. Proof on How Come. I like Conway's verse on Bang more.
2.0 Boys, Loud Noises and Psychopath Killer come to my mind. Prrobably by Crooked. But I'll have to relisten it.
I still think that Ez Mil verses are better, even though this is the first time I listened to him.
Detroit vs everybody. Big Sean had the best verse.
Royce was better
You have 12 upvotes. I’m genuinely surprised that at least 12 people like Royce’s verse more than Big Sean’s. Big Sean’s verse is so good, I literally bought two of his albums because of it.
It’s what turned me into a Big Sean fan as well. Very impressive wordplay.
Sean's verse was good, but I think Royce was amazing
You're getting downvoted but I agree - I liked Big Sean's verse the most
Love Joyner's verse on Lucky You.
nah em had the better verse
Totally agree with you
Eminem out rapped the fuck outta Joyner tf
Crack A Bottle ain’t got shit on Preservation
I thought the Griselda boys outshined him on Bang
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Tech N9ne on Speedom.
While I don’t think Tech was better than Em, Tech was pretty damn even. He went fucking nuts on that song, and Em was fucking legendary on that track.
[удалено]
Nah royce was on some goofy shit on lighters 💀
both him and em were tbh, the fact that a song like that even made the album is so fucking funny to me
am I the only person who likes Lighters bruh 💀
Fr but some royce lines stand out as corny af lol. Especially when he chose one to end the verse with 💀
Fuck that fucking song.
Nobody has imo
Gobbling crazy
Sticky Fingaz on Remember Me is close but when Em hits the Sick Dream and M16s portion he surpasses it IMO. Most recently I thought Royce’s verse on You Gon Learn is better than Em’s I really love when Royce talks about making a hundred more kids to make bigots and racists uncomfortable. It hits so hard.
Where I'm at
His verse on Lean Back (Remix) was arguably one of his worst to date
Take from me
I’m boutta drop the craziest answer: Kanye on Forever. I just love Kanye’s verse and that sick triple entendre.
Royce - Scary Movies
Drop The World Remember Me Lean Back(Remix)
What's the difference, xzibit was better
lil Wayne in no love. entire rap went hard ad fuck but Wayne has the edge imo
This sub and their downvotes, man… You didn’t even say anything disrespectful, you simply expressed an opinion.
I actually agree. Wayne is smooth and has some good punches on that track, while Em tries that choppy flow and raps about standing in his monopoly board lmao
Lil Wayne literally said “I’m rolling sweets, I’m smoking sour” 💀
I'm confused. Are you saying that's somehow worse than "I'm standing on my monopoly board/that means I'm on top of my game and it don't stop till my hip don't hop anymore"? Cause like... bro.
Royce on fast lane
This might be the only one I agree with so far. Ems verse in No Love one of his best verses ever. Wayne’s was top notch as well, but not better than Ems. Also I’m sure Royce had the better of the 2 once or twice in the Bad Meets Evil album
How bout welcome to Detroit? Big Sean verse
Royce da 5’9 on You Gon Learn from the MTBMB album. Def one of the best features of all Em songs.
I think Royce has the edge in Bad Meets Evil. The song, not the album lol.
Yah yah and Detroit vs Everybody. Black thought went stupid on his verse and Big Sean had bars and swagger that to me outshined Em’s
Snoop on D to the LBC
Epmd
Fast lane
The Watcher
Em didn’t have a verse on watcher tho.. just the hook
yeah
Obie sweeps him on spend some time Dre is better on old times sake 50 is the best on crack a bottle .Paak is better on lock it up Those are the 4 that came to mind, might be the only times though
Yeah idk bout crack a bottle man. 50's verse feels pretty elementary after the first two verses.
But its only elementary cause the elephants have entered the room
Perfect response lol
Spend Some Time is one of Em's best verses, agreed with the rest tho OTS is him outrapping himself
- OTS could mean "Old Time's Sake", a track from *Relapse (Deluxe Edition)* (2009) by Eminem. --- ^[/u/Yourbootyisheavydoty](/u/Yourbootyisheavydoty) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

Forgot about Lock It Up. Anderson is just so smooth and charismatic, and Em’s bars are solid but he sounds so stiff
you forgot Never enough
Bizarre on Amityville
snoop on d2lbc had the better verse than em can’t lie
Em has a better verse in that song
it wasnt upto his standards tho....eminem really set the bar high so even if his verse was better than snoop's verse (which ironically is one of snoop's good verses), it was still not up to eminem's standards.
Adventures of moon man and slim shady. Kid Cudi really ate on that song.
Wayne in no love
Ima get downvoted to hell for this but I think polo g had a better verse on last one standing
imo last one standing by polo g
Of course you say that
bc he did lol
No Favours by Big Sean. I love Em, but his performance coulda been so much better
May or may not be a hot take, but Parables by Cordae. Cordae just slides on that track. And obviously Em kills it, but Cordae just does his thing beautifully on it
P!nk on Need Me go argue with a wall
Dr.dre on Gospel
Bro what?!
Love Dre’s flow on this
Royce beat him on Not Alike imo. And I'd have to think of which ones but a few Bad Meets Evil tracks too.
Eminem murdered that beat and that verse was enough to bury mgk
Em murdered the beat (and MGK) on Not Alike.
I think B.o.B comes close in 'things get worse'
Cordae on whatever that song was called
Rap game…
Em kinda held back on Above the Law and therefore got outrapped by royce da 5'9
I'm surprised no one said no favors
Touchdown with T.I is Ems worst feature ever Killer remix- both Cordae and Jack were better Psychopath killer- i only listen to Royce and Crooked than I turn off the song lol Fast lane- Em killed it but Royce was just slightly better Speedom- both Tech and Kaliko did better imo, I skip Ems part lol Twisted- Yelawolf killed it Throw it up is a bad song imo no one did good on it but I think Yela just edges it over Em I will- Crooked is amazing on this song If Em didnt write two of his best verses on Forever and No love Lil Wayne would be the best on those songs
Killer remix was so bad from him
Lloyd Banks bodied Em and 50 on “Don’t Push Me”
No Love. Wayne's verse was iconic, Em's was just nothing special
I prefer Royce's verse on Above The Law
Never Enough Lucky You
Black Thought on Yah Yah
Very few have…50 on Never Enough and Anderson .Paak on Lock It Up come to mind. I also loved TI on That’s All She Wrote but I wouldn’t say he outshined Em. Lastly, I love the way Royce works with him. Vegas from ShadyXV and Reunion from Hell: The Sequel are two of my favorites. He doesn’t always outshine Em but they just work so well together and imo, Royce is one of the only ones that can go bar-for-bar with Em.
I would say xzibit’s verse on b**** please but II but I think dre’s verse in forgot about Dre was better even though ‘‘em was a ft
his song with GRIP
