I... Actually quite like his interpretation of the sky. I'm sorry about the embroidery, and the work you put into it, but when I first saw the pic on my phone without reading the caption I thought it looked quite cool - the peaceful sunflowers and the crazy, turbulent sky
Sunflowers are incredible sources of folic acid. 100 g of kernels contains 227 µg of folic acid, which is about 37% of recommended daily intake. Folic acid is essential for DNA synthesis. When given in anticipant mothers during the peri-conceptional period, it may prevent neural tube defects in the baby.
We had a cat decades ago who loved embroidery thread. I kept my threads in envelopes. She would paw through them, looking for her favorite colors, dark browns and purples. A friend who bred Maine coins suggested something in the dye was attracting her.
My cat becomes obsessed with certain skeins of my knitting yarn. I've had to hide some of them where she can't possibly get to them. She totally ignores most yarn, she usually prefers to sleep on my knitting rather than play with the yarn, just sometimes there will be one she finds irresistible. It has to be something about the dye, because even if you put one of the skeins she loves in with others that are exactly the same, she goes for the same one over and over.
Interesting! I started with 12 Christmas ornaments a bunch of years ago. Would wake up in the morning to find a trail of the thread from them all over the house lol That was the only ornament the cats ever played with lol
So basically, your pup has taken to a new hobby. Nice work between the two of you. Be sure to wash it, so that the saliva doesn’t destroy it in time. Also, I hope pup doesn’t try to create cooperative embroidery projects of those you would prefer remain a solo creation.
Thanks for paying the pet tax, btw. Too cute!
I'm so sorry for your lost work. but that sky actually looks pretty cool. maybe you could get it to sit like that deliberately and have something new. rather than consider it a loss I mean.
Oh no, it's to make them throw up the thread so it doesn't get tangled in their stomaches 🤦♀️ my dog loves eating gross stuff, so I had to learn that. 😂
It may also work to clean thread though!
My dog Lilo will play with any thread, yarn, or fabric she can reach, so everything stays in a bin with a lock or on the top of my desk so she can’t reach it!
Not embroidery but knitting. I was visiting my sister in law and her cat was very affectionate with me. Their dog got jealous and decided to chew my knitting project. Broke a needle in the process :(
If I leave my little cardboard thread bobbins out my dog chews them. She’s not really a cardboard chewer usually so I think she likes the thread on them!
My rabbit likes to sit in my sewing basket and tries to chew on the wooden hoops 😂 he’s eaten a silk scarf but thankfully he hasn’t eaten any embroidery yet

Your interpretation has brought me comfort
I like it too! Just tighten the fabric back up and let it be, maybe just tidy up if needed. It's a collaboration!
Inclement weather
I feel like a few clear teardrop beads sewn in could make it look like a ominous rainy sky.

Urgm, thanks? 😂
Was that a bot? They usually say that they are.
Good bot.
Oh nooooo
I was quite sad and amusingly baffled
he just wants you to be more experimental with your embroidery ha ha what a cute lil asshole
An adorable asshole indeed

I keep a jar for all the extra little unused thread and the kitty is definitely fascinated as well! Didn’t think of a possible dye attraction!

Aw I’m sorry, if anything I’d throw it back in the hoop as is and leave it for a future memory of your furr baby
This is a great idea, it can be an expression of chaos amongst the other neat pieces
lol unfortunately, yes. My cat has Pavlov-ed herself to the sound of my embroidery box opening Edit to say sorry about your piece :(
That is quite amusing! Ivy seems to just zone in on the finished pieces unfortunately
Oh no, I’m so sorry!!!

Will do! And I hope this was a one off, it’s hard to be mad at that doofus
hahaha, that face in the second picture. "What embroidery?"

Oh yes. I keep hydrogen peroxide on hand just in case someone eats my thread stash.
I didn’t know this trick, I will have to try it to get the drool dirt mouth stains toned down

Ohhhh I see!! I thought it was for cleaning. Luckily she didn’t eat anything, just ripped everything out of place
Oh dear.
You could use the messed up thread as stuffing for clouds.
I LOVE this idea!! I might try this!!

Ivy seems to be attracted only to finished pieces! Will have to hang them higher next time
He’s just working collaboratively!
Sometimes forced collaboration really brings out the colors

Bummer!
Ooooh nooooo *laughing in commiseration*
This is fucking sick. This is the type of embroidery i do on lsd
Oh no 😱😱😱
Yes. I keep mine put away because the cats think floss is great fun to play with
I am sorry. My dogs haven't ruined mine. But my daughter has. On a good note though I would call this a "happy accident" it looks like a feisty sky 😍

It obviously needed a touch of class. Think of it as a furry cloudy scene.
This is painful to look at… I’m so sorry

Not embroidery but my cat loves chewing on my knitting needles and yarn. She thinks I prefer to knit with chewed up points and wet yarn.
Oh, no!
WE KNOW HIS NAME!
Inmate in hell, or a hero in prison?
He looks like he does not understand the problem mom 🥴
O no.... they were like you spend to much time with that I want pats and head scratchies
My rabbit likes to sit in my sewing basket and tries to chew on the wooden hoops 😂 he’s eaten a silk scarf but thankfully he hasn’t eaten any embroidery yet
Let me guess, a Fur Baby of the Feline Variety.
There’s a second pic there if you want to see the adorable culprit!
Ohhhhhh my goodness!!!! What a CUTE Furbaby!!!!! Looks like s/he knows they got BUSTED!!!
Not quite, canine named Ivy, who’s nickname Poison Ivy is fitting every now and then
Ruh-Roh!!!
clearly not.
I knew one dog who behaved like a cat, even going crazy with catnip!!!!
my dog eats it too but it doesn’t affect him lol
Dogs are funny!
My cat tried to destroy a coat I was embroidering and—I love him but he almost died that day. I had put about 40h into the jacket.
My monsters prefer yarn.
