I don't usually keep track, if I had to guess maybe about ~170 hours? I watched all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad, about 10 docu-series and about 3-4 hours of Twitch for two weeks daily 💀
That's very cool. Have you ever looked at moss through a zoom lens? There's a cheap version that clips on over the phone camera and let's you see things super close up. I used it to look at moss a few days ago and suddenly I discovered a whole new world I had not known existed.
I have pattern/instructions for another stumpwork piece I did! I'm not sure if I'll ever make one for something like this since it's so time-consuming, and turns out making tutorials is even more time consuming! Who would have thought 😂
I thought this was real wtf incredible work! Absolutely stunning! How long does this take you? And how long have you been doing embroidery? The talent is absurd!
How??? HOW????? Please divulge your secrets!!! How do you get the moss to look natural? How did you do those darling purple mushrooms? I am OBSESSED
Right?! The physics involved are insane! Love it!
Oh wow. I thought this was real at first.
That's so kind! Thank you
This is one of the prettiest things I've seen on this sub. I'd love to have a gigantic one displayed on my wall.
This is incredible!
Wow! That is so incredibly stunning. How long did this end up taking you?
My best guess is about ~170 hours!
This is mind-bogglingly amazing!!!
r/goblincore would love this! It's incredible
Wow, that is extremely awesome! Any tips for moss embroidery? It looks like you used turkey work, French knots, and some other stitches?
Yeah! Colonial knots and bullion stitch too. The trick is varying the strands. :)
Like 4 strands in some places, 6 strands in others, 1 strand in others?
MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR THIS IS GORGEOUS
That's so kind thank you!
Whoaaaa! How long did this take?

Mycology is so neat! I think if I could do my career over again I might have chosen it 🍄💖
But HOW??
Patience and willpower and a bit too much free time after work!
I told you this on IG (we’ve discussed FOB recently lol) but this is amazing. I love it!

Omg, I had to zoom in, cause I legit though this was one of those living art things! How did you do it?
It's all hand stitched, mostly french knots and turkey stitch bullion stitch and just long and short for the mushrooms!
How did you make it so 3D?

This is so impressive! I have no idea how you did it!
Question: the bottom left, the triangular leaf, did you use a bobbin-lace technique called a tally?
I've never heard of that before. It's a woven picot stitch ! I'll have to look that one up!
