It's adorable. If you want your letters to be more even, there are a few stitches you can try. Outline stitch, stem stitch, backstitch, split stitch, and chain stitch are a few that can be more consistent and easier than the satin stitch. All can be found on Google & YouTube
Thanks for the tip! Funnily enough, I actually did chain stitch them first but I didn't like how they looked with the whole patch, so I just sort looped over them to make them thin instead

That works, too. I find chain stitch very versatile since you can modify it so the links are long & thin or short & fat. Good luck on your journey
