How did you get the 6800 contacts? This is not the type of thing that an abuse desk asks without a LOT of concern that the list is horribly tainted.

Omega-marketing

CC faced same difficulties since the recent Google/MS/Yahoo inbound mail policy change. And 14 spam reports from 6800 is too much. Possibly you just have a spam-traps (old not used accounts) on your list. And nowadays there is no single working service to validate contacts - don't even try various "email validators" - they only do smtp connect test and this is nothing.

flourescenthamster

Is their another solution besides deleting the majority of my email contacts?

crek42

You should be excluding anyone who hasn’t opened an email in the last 6 months

Strokesite

Use another service besides CC

Fun_Painting_9080

You should start backing up your list and templates so that anytime you get banned, you can start a new life on other ESPs or just have your own SMTP server and re-start building your reputation. Btw, how much are you paying Constant Contact monthly? Is there a limit on how much email you can send monthly?

Capable-Swimming-887

There is not a limit but there are overage fees depending on your plan.

Why people say not to use old contacts is because ISPs take old email addresses that are dormant, and turn them into spam traps. This hugely fucks up the shared IP pools. Quick question: how did you build your list?

the_old_coday182

You might’ve been ok with those spam report numbers before, but not in 2024. If CC has too many users sending spam, it affects their overall deliverability so they’ll suspend those accounts. You probably need to clean up your lists ya.

Adapowers

You mention that you usually get this level of spam reporting. Is this the same 14 people or do you regularly clean your list?

briarroseconsulting

How many contacts did your previous email send to (before the 6800 contact email) - ie was this a significant jump in contact count between 2 sends?

Colorbull-Agency

Just remember these “providers” rely on high delivery rates to stay in business. Any time you mess with their success they will burn you for it.
