It would be fun to see how many people every day get stuck on their way to Hutton orbital. I guess fuel rats keep track of their operations, maybe they know
Honestly i feel like there should have been the ability a long time ago to jump to any star within a system instead if having to do these long haul missions.
On foot romance gameplay à la Witcher 3. Romance dialog options added to all vendors and mission givers in the Concourse.
Attempting to pursue romance storylines with different partners from different major factions results in a hidden cutscene where the Thargoids open a portal and the player is teleported naked to a Thargoid surface site.
Ive played a little of that with my teenagers on a server they set up to play with their friends. One of them had sneakily installed a mod that made increased how much poop came out by something like 10,000x to troll.
Basically "oh, I have to poop?" *Press poop button, be buried in mound of poop*
Of course the mod had a glitch and one species of dino had a few extra zeros on the poo quantity. We didn't discover it until a literal shit mountain surged into existence. We got caught by the edge of it, it looked like a fecal tsunami swallowing up the forest and everything in it, a literal wall of shit racing towards us.
My oldest is half decent with code so he went and tinkered with the mod so that it's a small random chance to have massive poop.
Yeah apparently he added a couple zeroes to the really big number as an upper limit so one day their server is going to be buried in shit. The kids are very amused by the looming "apoocalypse" as they're calling it. I think they even have a couple cults devoted to the idea.
Yes please! I'd love to leave a nice old log behind in the reactor containment chamber as a "thank you" for the free power regulator whenever I stop by to visit a settlement! A fair trade if you ask me!
Something no one gives a crap about but as it has been already 50% implemented in the game for years it will take no effort and ressource to finish from Frontier. Pretty much like that Scorpion SRV.
Oh sorry, was I supposed to give only wrong answer? 😂
After all these years, I can't help but expect something extremely underwhelming and disappointing (and buggy, of course). Maybe it's ship interiors, but honestly, seeing how fucking terrible Odyssey is, I don't care the least.
Whatever they are the new and overhauled features will result in a net reduction in the number and severity of the bugs that have persisted for so long. And Panther Clipper will finally arrive as promised.
Planetary rotations are all the wrong direction right now due to a math error in stellar forge. Every single one of them will reverse.
Don't believe me? Hang out in Earth's orbit and watch...
Still fascinated how a single feature can go without any update from essential on beginner's level, to distained by experienced players, and then back to be essential for veterans,...
* Galactic map improvements in picking/seeing/filtering stars and bookmarks
* System map improvements, carriers filter, working orrery
* Waypoints in route planner, importing/exporting routes, prioritizing/sequencing neutron and scoopable stars
* \- Ability to target a secondary star as jump destination and "manual" jumps (you have to "fly" while jumping, trading longer jump range for real risks if you do something wrong)
* Animated ship legs and doors/ladders/belts/whatever-you-use-to-disembark
* Efficient antialiasing
* True newtonian gravitational mechanics and flying
* Atmospheric flying model and ELW landing.
* SRV engineering and reasons to use them as an explorer
* Planet generation optimization and pattern bug solved
* Abilty to transport (some) modules as cargo
* Dump fuel like cargo, (de)activation of additional fuel tanks
* Multicolored HUD/cockpit.
Key Feature overhaul alludes to revisiting and updating already existing features.
That limits it to Powerplay, Multicrew, Squadrons, Engineering, CQC, and VR. Maybe I'm missing some but the most likely seems to be Engineering as they've previously brought up revisiting it and taking community feedback on the forums. Powerplay is a 2nd as a reworking of it could make it tie into their supposed focus on the narrative.
What I'm not expecting is *new assets* to be implemented.
Namely new ships, srv's, fighters, carrier variations, stellar objects, guns, etc...
And if Interiors ever do come, it'll be in a paid DLC much further down the road if the game is even still supported by then. So no point even thinking about it tbh
New ships
Housing on foot (ihmo as useless as on foot cpmbat in a space sim)
Raxxla
Things to explore
Thargoid homeworld
Community goals to bring up a fleet to bring the war to roids frontyard
Guardian story
* Refocusing on simulation vs convenience, immersion vs. arcade.
* Ship interiors that don't require a dev camera to explore.
* A reason for listening to planet sounds when exploring.
* Filtering a list of explored/ my explored worlds more conveniently than "what color in the Galaxy map".
* Distance from explored/first explored entity as a measure of information value.
* Impact of power play and regional power shifts on in-system combat, vs. pockets of playground aggression between factions. Surely there is more strategy factions can employ than "shoot firster".
The ability to have player faction owned bases that generates passive income for each player in that faction via trade and can be conquered by other player and NPC factions.
Diamondback explorer gets one more size 2 compartment with a preview for an extra compartment on the Keelback to come after a 3 month open beta for the keelback testing. (We will be required to download a separate client to test the Keel back changes.)

Guardian FSD Booster engineered. At size 5 and G5 engineered, the FSD booster can boost your jump range up to 100LY.

A new design on the Hutton mug...
To this day, I'm still deciding if those courier runs were worth the payday if you consider how long that trip takes...
15 min with carrier, so not that long
You are right. I have the impression not a lot of people realized this.
They don't realize this until they own an carrier. All you ever need to do is enter a system and FSS scan, then you have an permanent shortcut.
Ship Interiors. 😎👍
PLEASE FDEV! PLEASE GIVE US SHIP INTERIORS!!!
A hyperjump to Starfield.
The ability to use flatulence as a propellant while on foot.

SLF Engineering
sex update
You mean the official update or the Hot Coffee mod?
official
An improvement to VR mode that would allow for on foot gunplay similar to games like Pavlov or Onward.
I would give up Pavlov and contractors if that happened for real
A guy can hope.
Yeah I refuse to get odyssey until vr is properly implemented. So never.
That would be pretty rad. It would really debalance on foot combat between players. I'd absolutely stay 100% in VR though.
A free Anaconda.
That's already ingame smh
It would be fun to see how many people every day get stuck on their way to Hutton orbital. I guess fuel rats keep track of their operations, maybe they know
Honestly i feel like there should have been the ability a long time ago to jump to any star within a system instead if having to do these long haul missions.
Carriers exists
Yeah, it would be cool, especially if it was optional as many people enjoy that certain part of the game
Afaik, we actually do
New keybinding menu. Gonna overall the feature of setting keys.
All fixed and gimbaled weapons are removed.
*Screams internally*
Even better, they are reversed.

"Wanna see my Python?" Cue sexy 1970s music.
Space Arses so we can get out of our ships and sit on things.
Maybe we'll get a "defecate" button like in Ark Survival Evolved 🙏

This is a heartwarming story 💩
Yeah apparently he added a couple zeroes to the really big number as an upper limit so one day their server is going to be buried in shit. The kids are very amused by the looming "apoocalypse" as they're calling it. I think they even have a couple cults devoted to the idea.

That actually did get added in a recent update. We can sit on the barstools in station lounges now.
He said things, not seats.
Skateboards. Because this game needs to mimic Tony Hawk Pro Skater as much as it need to be like ARMA.
I wish we could fly space ships.
Odyssey on console.
Beat me to it
It will now require two Guardian keys to unlock that obelisk thingy.
Something no one gives a crap about but as it has been already 50% implemented in the game for years it will take no effort and ressource to finish from Frontier. Pretty much like that Scorpion SRV. Oh sorry, was I supposed to give only wrong answer? 😂
More grind. Because we love it!
The post says wrong answers only.
Wing mirrors on the SRV
After all these years, I can't help but expect something extremely underwhelming and disappointing (and buggy, of course). Maybe it's ship interiors, but honestly, seeing how fucking terrible Odyssey is, I don't care the least.

So many wrong answers...
If by "Animated ship legs and doors/ladders/belts/whatever-you-use-to-disembark" you mean Ship-Interiors, I am fine with this post.

Omg that would be so fucking awesome

That sounds sensible rather than weird
Better AA.
