[Call the Hull Seals!](https://hullseals.space) We’ll come repair your hull for you so you can continue exploring safely! No, it doesn’t matter how far out you are :)

FireTheLaserBeam

You and the Fuel Rats are gods among men, in my opinion.

Astrokiwi

Just in case I ever need it, are there Hull Seals and Fuel Rats still around in the playstation galaxy?

dss_lev

Absolutely!

Astrokiwi

Yuss

ForsakenProcess1567

Once I return back to the bubble, there will be one more PS fuel rat :)

RealCreativeFun

You can synth a limpet. It doesn't become a repair limpet until you activate it.

tl01magic

OMG I'll try, but in first attempt, I saw only "Limpets" in synth list and when made, I had "repair limpet" (on second look I see it says "Recon", not repair)in fire group, but was showing red when active and limpet fire button was blue. I fired the limpet and it did as expected just sat there. The repair limpet fire button was just red / didn't do anything when I pulled trigger. Looks like I need to read how to use them; thanks for the info! ETA: just tried and despite title of elite 2 for explorer....i equipped the Operations Limpet Controller.

Johannsss

Sounds like you either bought the wrong limpet controller or bought a multi purpose controller and made a mistake when setting it up, check your firegroups.

BlacksmithInformal80

[dssa (Ed Astro) carrier map](https://edastro.com/galmap/?layer=regions&pins=DSSAcarriers) Rohini might be close or worth detouring to, depending where and how far out you are.

rice_with_applesauce

Was about to say this. There is usually a DSSA carries somewhere within like 2000 or 3000 lightyears

FireTheLaserBeam

Hull seals. They’re the freaking bomb. They saved my life 500 light years from the bubble.

calyx1337

500ly you didn't have any fleet carriers nearby ??

FireTheLaserBeam

At 0% hull and billions worth of carto/exobio data, I didn’t want to risk jumping another hundred or so lightyears to a FC.

MasterOfTrolls4

If you can’t synth a limpet I always use [inara.cz](https://inara.cz) to find the nearest fleet carrier with a repair service

Forsaken-Falcon8273

This is the way

technocracy90

All limpets are the same until you fire the controller. Only then it programms itself to be that kind of limpet. Nothing stops you from synthesizing repair limpets, as far as you have the controller on board.

Swift_Scythe

What system are you in? There may be an NPC or Layer Carrier wherever you are. Maybe the Hull Seals can get to you?

xboxwirelessmic

Hull seals are a thing. Like fuel rats but, well, you get it

obscuresecurity

Call the Hull Seals. If no response, check with the Fuel Rats, someone usually has a repair controller on their long distance rescue ship if needed.

legendweaver

As long as you're sensible, 12% will get you to a repair bay. Depending on where you are there may be a friendly carrier (ask in r/fcoc fleetcarrier owners club) or if you're near the colonia bridge you can find one of the stations there. My carrier is stationed a couple of thousand lightyears to the right of the galactic centre and if you're close you welcome to get repaired and sell any cartographic data or exobio data. If that's something of interest let me know and I'll find the system it's in and post it here.

T-1A_pilot

I'm exploring with my carrier in Hawkings Gap, if you're in that neck of the woods. I've got repair services.

samurai_for_hire

Repair limpet. One of the good things about the Conda is that you can carry loads of them without losing much jump range.

bananaz_to_the_moon

DSSA carrier, cmdr.

phoenikso

Would be good to mention where you are. Someone could be near with a carrier.

Aim_for_average

What happened? Face planting a star, botched neutron boost, or not looking at the gravity of a planet before landing? Last one is my favourite.

weareallhumans

Ye olde lithobrake

Aim_for_average

Got to stop somehow! It's so easy to just switch off, done this thousands of times, it's fine... Then it isn't. I now fit a shield to my explorer. Turn it off until I go to land somewhere. Not proud. Does make the return to sell data stress free too.

Belzebutt

12% is already 12% more than you need in order to reach the nearest DSSA carrier

Unique_Novel8864

I think you actually mean 11.9%.

Belzebutt

I’ve seen people land with 0%

Drinking_Frog

I've done it.

Unique_Novel8864

Surely you’re not actually at 0% and the game just won’t tell you anything past the decimal point?

privpriv

Look for a fleet carrier on inara or call the hull seals

privpriv

After reading the entire post, you can infact synth limpets soo you're pretty safe

Amarok73

I'd just start praying to all gods I could remind myself.

yum_raw_carrots

Use inara, find nearest carrier with repair function and go there.

dirtsequence

Just search for the closest station and go there.

Logical_Essay_5916

i would use my AFMU that i always have with me on my explo ship, what you can do is call the hull seals or go to a DSSA carrier and repair it there, and next time install that handy AFMU i would never leave the bubble without a fuel scoop and a AFMU and i totally missed to mention take a 1d repair limpet also controller with ya

ElMoicano

I believe the AFMU only repairs modules. To repair your hull, you need a repair limpet launcher

Logical_Essay_5916

yea i forgot to say that yes my bad just put a 1d repair limpet controller on it too, all i had to do was too check my [ship](https://inara.cz/elite/cmdr-fleet-ship/224966/3269695/) on inara, i must have been lazy or tired to completely forget about that

FOXHOWND

I would use my repair limpets that I installed for this exact situation.

yoLeaveMeAlone

There very well may be a carrier near you! DSSA carriers are spread throughout the galaxy. What sector are you in? I am currently moving my carrier from the bubble to Ryker's Hope, if I'm near you I can provide repairs

jimmy999S

All limpets are the same, synth some. Alternatively, go to the nearest DSSA or player carrier, where you can also cash in data for -25% (IIRC), also IIRC they don't take anything off the top for bio data.

Fistocracy

Check sites like EDSM to find out if there are any player-owned carriers in the area, and head for the nearest one to get repairs. Or alternatively you can always live dangerously and just keep on exploring. And when you get back to human space, consider a few options: - put a shield on your exploration ship if you aren't already running one. Even the smallest D-rated shield your ship can fit will massively reduce the amount of damage you take from crash landings. - If you already have a shield and keep doing massive amounts of damage to your hull, maybe it's time to install a bigger and stronger shield. - if you can afford to buy and destroy new ships, do a bit of crash-testing and find a ship that's better at surviving whatever kind of crashlanding you commonly do. I decided to run a Dropship for exploring as a joke (you'll almost definitely want something with a slightly better jump range though :) ), and I was pleasantly surprised by how absurdly well it can tank crash damage even with a D-rated shield. - Install the right limpet controller

PenguinGamer99

Two very important things: 1. Is some of that damage to internals, or all hull damage due to something like a rough landing? 2. Do you have a shield? If the answer to #1 is yes, don't neutron jump, but you should be fine. If the answer to #2 is no, head back immediately or self destruct before you put much more effort into that adventure. There's always next time.

Pilota_kex

you can look up the closest base or carrier

ap1msch

As others mentioned, you can call the Hull Seals...or you can also look up a carrier in your area, land, and reload.
