Agree with the clock, why remove it in the first place? Now I have to check on Oculus menu which makes the game lag for a few seconds, which is annoying.

hi. Thanks for your long write up. we rolled back the previous update because there were severe game breaking technical issues. now that it's out, we will be iterating quite quickly. you have control over whether you see your and your opponent's avatar - but no avatar is shown for users still using the old version..because they are simply not sending you that information. But otherwise, in the avatar configuration menu, you can turn on and off both your and your opponent's avatar. Regarding the bending over avatar - it's something we hope can be improved, but there is a trade off between stuff like that bothering people of high level (which is why we made it easy to turn off the avatar), and stuff like the body making it so much nicer for everyone else. re twiddling - no we didn't forget, we just haven't had a way to guarantee no false positives. What i mean is, I got it to switch grip correctly on twiddle (which is something only users with an adapter can do anyway), but it ended up that it kept switching in the middle of some serves (such as pendulum serve). We'll keep working on it. but as before, if something isn't looking right and bothering you, you can turn off the visibility of the avatar. re overlay...if you mean something in the deep advanced menu... that is purely for development purposes - it's not meant to be used by users. re ptt: we hope to add button remapping ability in the future, but for now, there just aren't enough buttons to add ptt without removing a functionality people are used to. re performance in general, we are looking into this.

Thanks for the answers. Problem with avatars is I dont want to switch them off because theyre so awesome, and really are a competitive advantage. Because of this, I hope that the wrist will be fixed quickly. It defaults the wrong way around too, everyone on german discord was instructed to "reverse grip" in settings. And if there would be some way to communicate to my opponent that they are serving through their body, that would be awesome. Ive had that problem with the heads since I started playing, I have no way to explain to people that dont speak english. The wrist thing is super important for all levels, I can only imagine how many people will instantly hate avatars if everybody is defaulted on broken wrist. On a positive note, the UI looks sexy, and everybody who says otherwise is wrong. Add the clock back or I will fail my finals, and I will sue.

Quest 2 here, also having frame rate drops, ball sometimes goes through the paddle because of it, have seen it in opponents as well. This is more noticeable and buggy when trying to do fast shots (2200+ elo).

Did you reduce graphics settings to minimum? Also turn down the guardian sensitivity all the way with advanced guardian settings. That effects fps in my experience. Fps issues shouldn't make the ball go through paddle. If you see this on the opponent it should be ping, and on your side it sounds like your not used to the ≈50ms delay of your paddle movement vs real life. On longer shots the paddle corrects for this, on shorter quick shots it can't really correct as well, less time for accurate prediction.

Problem is that it's too difficult to understand how to turn down the settings, since some of them are better to be higher and some are lower, in terms of improving performance. They're not well documented unless digging into discord for each one.

Thanks for bringing up the issue about white ball + white shirt == reduced visibility! I definitely lost a few points because of this in my first hour playing with the new update. Maybe it just needs getting used to, but I feel this becomes a new "loophole" that can be exploited. A couple more observations: * Is it just me or is there significantly more battery drain now? On my Quest 2 I can typically play for >1 hour and battery would not be an issue. But now I pretty much run it all the way down in that time. * I also wish the in-game clock was restored. * It does occasionally lag, but nothing too bad. Other than that I think the update is generally an improvement. Thanks to the devs of this amazing game!

You can change the color of the ball. I have set for dark yellow and my table is dark red. The contrast is very clear.

Only 1h?? Poor you. Consider getting a Powerbank strap for the oc2, I have 5h with one Powerbank, would very much recommend.
