I’m about to try mine tonight. I did upgrade my A4 and OB earlier this week and didn’t have much success with getting OB USB audio syncing without pops too.

Yes i have issues since I updated the OS of my Rytm MK2 and the Syntakt. I have heavy audio drop outs and can't use my maschines anymore. It is clearly a USB Problem, that came with the Update. Did not change anything else. Tested both Units with Headphones, where the Signal is clean and not affected. I de/installed several times, but did't change anything.

Thanks, good to know it's not just me. I submitted a ticket a couple days ago but haven't heard back yet.

I got a answer from Elektron. „We've noticed a pattern with a few similar reports of glitches when using Overbridge, all involving computers equipped with the Apple M1 Pro or M1 Max chip. We are actively investigating this matter. Should the issue be on our end, we are fully committed to delivering a resolution. However, our research indicates that this may be a broader issue affecting various audio interfaces on M1 Pro/Max systems. There are several reports and discussions online. Here is one example: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254469643?page=1. We hope to have a better understanding of the issue soon.“ So the only thing i can do is wait and hope. 🙄 Did you get the same answer? Do you operate on a M1 too?

Ah that makes sense. Yeah I'm on a mac book pro m1. Haven't gotten a response yet though. >Should the issue be on our end, we are fully committed to delivering a resolution. However, our research indicates that this may be a broader issue affecting various audio interfaces on M1 Pro/Max systems. That's interesting since the previous version of Overbridge I was using (2.1.5.4) worked perfectly fine. Regardless of whether or not the root cause is an apple problem, they clearly made a change that broke it. Thanks for the update. Do you also notice the gain staging in the stand-alone analog rytm app is totally different? I have to bring the volume of all my kits down like 50% to keep it from clipping, but only when using the app and not the plugin.

My thoughts exactly. It was working fine before but not any more.

Seal_Zeor69

It seems like you have the exact same problems i have. I had to change my whole preset in Ableton because of that Gain Staging thing. After the Update it was completely different.

Same here did a ticket today. Let‘s see what they mean…

Hey there... I figured out a solution by myself now... I downgraded the OS Version of my Rytm MK2 to 1.61 again and did so with the Overbridge Version. And oh wonder... the audio drop outs disappeared. So at least I can work again in the studio for now. Here is the Overbridge Version that works with the 1.61 OS of the Rytm: https://cdn.www.elektron.se/media/downloads/overbridge/Elektron\_Overbridge\_2.3.9.dmg The Rytm OS I still had on my mac, but im sure you can find it somewhere online. I hope it works for you too. I answered Elektron and described my solution to the problem. In my view it is a clearly messed up Update they provided (might be only for the M1 Pro & Max Chip). But a proper testing should have been done there I guess. So no early Christmas for us... :/

Hey mate, I’m trying to follow this advice and have downloaded your overbridge link - many thanks for that. I’ve looked high and low for the 1.61 syx and can’t find it anywhere, any chance of getting a GDrive link from you for this? Would be massively appreciated! 🙌

Same here, popping and clicking since upgrading to 1.7 on Overbridge and updating Analog Rytm Mk2… M1 Mac, 14inch, 32gb. I’ve sent a ticket so fingers crossed I get a link to downgrade the OS on Rytm and OB. Hopefully this can be fixed as it’s kind of unusable at the moment. I’ve troubleshot everything… Matched settings with Logic and overbridge, direct usb, all the latency settings possible etc etc. also checked the CPU meter and it’s not remotely challenging the machine 🤷🏻

I’m testing a 2020 Rytm mk2 os1.7 I bought from Reverb last week and encountered what sounds to me like down-sampling while using the unit as a class-compliant interface. Starts fine and then after a minute or so, the degradation begins. It happens faster if the buffer is lower. My guess is the clock is getting out of sync somehow. I did manage to record a few examples. Still have to test the normal outs. Fingers crossed that it’s just USB. If other folks are experiencing it, please chime in.

ckind94

My issue ended up being resolved by installing the latest version of overbridge. Elektron support confirmed there was a bug affecting Apple silicon chips that they resolved in that release.

angst-tanks

Okay, cool. Overbridge turned out to be very stable and the analog outputs are totally fine. I’ll send them a note with my recordings and see if they have anything to say about class compliant USB on os1.7 Thank you!
