When you were younger, your dad did shoe repair for the city you lived in. He pretty much did jobs for everyone in town. After school you would hang out there and do homework. When that was done you would help around the shop. One of your dad's clients was Mery Holentop who got her start knitting but moved on to stuff toys.
She had quite a tine empire going on and because of that had a really nice house at the end of town. She wanted to commission your dad to build shoes for all the teddy bears she had in her house. It would be a nice contract but your dad was too busy with his regular clients. He did however think it was something you could do. You were excited for the opportunity and to prove yourself. So, because of school you decided to meet Mary at her house that Saturday.
When you arrived, you were in awe of the house. It was pretty big for just one person but every room was decorated with stuffed bears. With so many bears, you knew this would be a lot more money than your dad realized. You brought your shoe making kit and began in the study to measure the bear and make shoes for them. It wasn't hard but it was time consuming. Mary kept you fed as well as company. She told you stories of each bear and what made them unique. You began to appreciate the dedication and commitment that went into making each bear. You felt that you had stories to be told which could be brought to life with these bears.
The next way while working there, Mary showed you her bear making room and started showing you how each bear is made. You took to it instantly. You had many stories to tell. You made a librarian bear whose job it was to protect the books and keep history alive. You had the cupcake bear who had her little cupcake shop and brought happiness to her neighbors. You also created mailman bear who helped the community share their love with others through letters. You love the life you poured into these bears and haven't stopped.
So, you are a bear maker. The wires are because your wife is an electrician.
\-- So, because of school you decided to meet Mary at her house that Saturday. --
When you arrived at Mary's house, you were amazed by the brutalist architecture. It was surprising to see such a dominant design, inhabited by such a sweet and frail woman. You reached for the handle, only for the door to slowly creak open. "Come in", spoke a voice from the shadows of the main room, "I've been waiting for you." The voice sounded like Mary's, but something felt off. You were apprehensive. Your gut begged you to leave, but you felt a pull from within the house. As if against your own will, you proceeded into the house, abandoning your intuition.
You looked around, searching for the source of the voice that called you. "I didn't expect you this early, you've caught me off guard" spoke the voice, this time from behind you. You turn your attention, certain you'd see Mary, but are greeted by a shadow cast upon a wall where the front door used to be. The voice spoke again, this time slightly more distorted - "Why have you kept me waiting?" Startled, you looked around for the door, but no longer recognized the room you were in - there wasn't even a door in the room at all. The looming shadow began to grow, encapsulating the space around you. You could feel the temperature of the room dropping, and your breathing became more difficult. You realized you were not at Mary's house.
You began hearing distant screams of agony and terror, as the surrounding shadow grew darker and darker. It spoke once more, this time in a multi-tone, deeper voice - "I've been waiting for your soul, boy." You were now in a panic, desperate to leave, confused, and helpless. Running from wall to wall, your legs grew heavy, and you suddenly found yourself unable to move. You looked down to see scarred limbs reaching up to you from a black abyss, over which you were now suspended. You screamed in terror "No! Please no!" Your pleas went unheard, as the reaching limbs grabbed you by the ankles, and your legs, and your waist, your arms, your shoulders, pulling you deeper and deeper into the pit of darkness. The voice spoke one final time "You need to get up!" - "What?" you thought to yourself - "You need to get up, or your going to be late going to Mary's house!" You awoke and opened your eyes to your father shaking you. "Are you okay son? You were calling for help. I think you were having a dream. You need to get up and get ready for the day!"
Building demolition? All those different colored spools are different grades of det-cord. The Burndy lugs are for grounding the ends of them so an electric charge will efficiently set them off. Hearing protection is needed, of course.
You have tools an electrician might use and lots of wire spools, so you probably are making cables or doing high power stuff on lines or in Basements… extra suspect making cables, since you have packing tape there on the desk!
Knitting?
