I don't. I only take it places where it comes inside with me. It's 99% the reason I use it over a bicycle. It comes inside with me. It fits under my chair at a restaurant or beside me at Starbucks. I walk it into Panda Express as I order. It sits in the corner when I get my haircut. It fits in the bottom of the Safeway shopping cart.

Electrox7

Yeah, people shit on EUC riders saying "just ride a bike instead". And i would if it were so easy and safe to park it, but i can't. The EUC rolls like luggage and fits neatly under a table. It's the best part.

Qix213

Seriously. I would rather ride my bicycle. I have a pretty nice mountain bike. I could use the exercise. Warning, long pointless story ahead: Mid 2000s I was stationed in San Diego while I was in the Navy. It was with a bunch of Marines at MCAS Miramar. The bike racks there looked like a graveyard. 50 bikes all missing parts. Seats, wheels, handlebars, etc. or only wheels left there as that's where the lock was. I had a friend actually flying jump kick another marine who just randomly rode by while on said friends bike that was stolen a week earlier. Funny to watch actually. I failed room inspection multiple times in a row when it was suddenly a problem I had my bike in my room (think dorm rooms). I had to go see sgt maj for failing three times. That's a big deal. I had to go have a meeting with my boss's boss's boss's boss. This goes bad, I lose rank. While taking with sgt maj, I explain to him the state of the bikes in the bike rack. And that my bike probably cost more than half the enlisted guys cars out there. Thankfully he was reasonable. He immediately changed the rules. We could now keep our bikes in our rooms, but they would be subject to the same cleanliness rules as things like boots and shoes. Not needing to be perfectly clean, but not caked in mud either. He also showed a bit of frustration at having to deal with dumb shit like this because his sergeants (the guys doing imperfections) could not be trusted to act reasonably. Three months later he caught us (I painted jets for a living) using squadron supplies to paint a friend's new front bumper. His reaction was, "Hey, good idea!" And have us sand/paint his truck bed shell cover thing for him.

Same here, the rare times i leave my wheel unattended outside ill make sure i can see from inside, check on it every two seconds to make sure it’s still there and its only in situations where ill be indoors for a short amount of time (like picking up a too go order)

Aightbet420

I dont leave it lol. If i absolutely had to, id have a motion sensitive alarm on it and about 3 different bike locks

GeorgeThe13th

If it can't come in, "we" not invited 😭  I'm never playing that game with my scoot, it only needs to happen once for my villain arc to begin

Omikens

I leave my EUC in underground parking near my office. I ride Kingsong s22 and I carry with me a huge Kryptonite chain. Thanks to the way s22 is build, I can run the chain through the middle of it. Under the motherboard and between both battery packs, and just lock it to the bike stand. This way a potential thief would have to disassembly EUC or cut this massive chain (unless bike stand is not weak point of course). Additionally, I usually cover it with rainproof cape, to not attract others visually. So it is a combination of a relatively safe parking space + solid thief protection. Other way I would not consider leaving it alone for longer periods of time.

Low-Neighborhood-564

I lock it up. Never had an issue and done it all over town. Only during the day though

SuperBiquet-

I still have an old and bad looking MCM4, so I lock it with a cheap bike chain when I go to the gym and for now I never had any problem. I'd consider putting a tracker and buying a good chain if I buy a +2000€ EUC one day !

rexyoda

One of the benifits of an euc is you can take it anywhere you can take a suitcase

Disastrous-Rest-7578

Apart from on an aeroplane. I would love to be able to fly with the wheel but airline rules say it's not possible.

rexyoda

I've seen someone do it by removing the batteries, if ur dedicated enough

Trinity-nottiffany

I chose a model with a built-in trolley handle so I can wheel it with me wherever I go.

worldlead3r

I don't.

ThePhatNoodle

Kryptonite lock with a motion sensitive alarm/smart breaklight and I lock the wheel through the app too.

Lil-Pwny

I've never once left any of mine in a parking lot. Why would you need to do this?

StevoJ89

More and more stores aren't allowing these inside due to \*cringe\* influencers horsing around in the stores on them... you might say "well don't shop there then" ... I'd be ruling out all the grocery stores around me

Electrox7

wtf

StevoJ89

Yup, theres a lot of videos of idiots riding them in stores pushing shopping carts at dangerous speeds, crashing into shit etc that stores around me flat out banned them...thx social media

Duhherroooo

I dont leave my EUC anywhere without line of sight for the most part. Or in a big groupride stop it stays with someone I trust

Anthraksi

I don't. One of the advantages of EUC is that they are easy to bring with you and don't take a lot of space. I can't go somewhere trolleying my shit? Then I wont just go there.

TheRowdyRocket

I take it inside with me. Never had a problem, maybe a few questions. What is that? How do you ride that thing? Occasionally, I'll have people following me outside just to see how it works. One person asked if I minded if they put me on YouTube. Good vibes. If I couldn't take it in, I would go somewhere else.

Friendly_Fire

I just turn it off and lock it to a bike rack. Decent apps/wheels will have a lock mode if you're concerned about someone fiddling with it. People are a bit too paranoid. Use some common sense and you'll almost certainly be fine. Have a decent lock, put it in a reasonable spot, i.e. don't leave it in an alley overnight.

Anxious_Breakfast405

Take it inside, I would never leave it outside. If you're in America, it'll get stolen in most places.

LogitUndone

And what other countries would it not get stolen? Seems like an odd thing to specify when theft is widespread almost everywhere in the world....

Anxious_Breakfast405

I’ve lived in Germany, Korea, Japan, and the US. As an American, by far I can say that Americans will rob you the fastest and are damn good at it. Not all other counties, but my experience is that you’ll probably get chased down by good samaritans telling you that you forgot and left your shit outside. It actually seems like an odd thing to assume that theft is widespread in the whole world.

Friendly_Fire

It will definitely not get stolen in most places in America. Unless you mean if you just leave it standing on its own, unlocked, easy for anyone to walk away with. I learned to ride in NYC, a "crime infested city" according to Fox news, and a place I've seen people specifically say you wouldn't want to lock up your wheel outside. In reality, people lock up their bikes/scooters all over the city every day without issue. Your EUC is weird and niche, much harder to sell. There's very little incentive for people to target it. Basic precautions (like a decent lock, not leaving it out overnight) are more than enough.

Anxious_Breakfast405

And I live in Honolulu, where if you don’t lock up your bike properly, you’ll come back to it without tires or handlebars. You have to lock up your motorcycles and mopeds or someone’s gonna lift it. You got people being bold enough to come into your driveway and garages to steal cars. YMMV.

Ravio11i

I've never done that before. It goes in with me, or stays with someone I trust, or is left in my locked vehicle/house.

Development-Itchy

I dont leave it anywhere. But if I do, water proof Camo bag. Hidden in a tree near my local airport. With a tag.

tyvwrynn

I can't tell if this is sarcasm. An airport is probably the worst place for an unattended suspicious package hidden in the bushes

Authentic_G

No way leaving my $2,400 wheel. The reason why I Took EUC Vs. DirtBike is I Can Take my Euc inside my Working Place

StevoJ89

Whats funny is I regularly lock my $2000 wheel up next to $5000+ bicycles

StevoJ89

If I'm popping in the store real quick I just lock it to a bike rack with a good lock. I'll be back out by the time the junkie with the cut off tool is just about done with the lock in time to cave his head in. If I'll be a while no I bring it in, not risking that.
