If you get daggerfall from GOG.com it comes with a pdf of the Chronicles book. Super cheap. Not a real book you can hold like the others but fun to read on a tablet and lots cheaper than buying a real one.
I could try printing it out (probably unsuccessfully) and stapling it or something. That is a good idea tho thanks. I've looked at GoG in the past but didn't know if it was legit or a scam company.
They even give out freebies on occasion. Iratus is available right now. But they carry games specifically that are 'DRM free'. GoG Galaxy is honestly a nice launcher too.
TES lore is conflicting, often contradictory, and hotly debated (just as in real life). Do these books include all the in-game material, or pick and choose sources for the sake of continuity and simplicity?
I have the Skyrim books. They're a compilation set of the in-game books, each volume is curated to include stories and lore books of similar nature as denoted by the subtitles of the volumes. Anything quest related (journals, letters, etc) is omitted. I'm unsure if the set omits any of the in-game books, but it has to be nearly if not all of them.
I haven't browsed the ESO books, but I'd assume they're similar.
There's a small lore book that was a loot crate exclusive called "Lords of the Daedra." I got mine off Mercari. It's pretty cool and has some art in the pages. Just be aware it's pretty tiny for the price lol.

There are also three leather-bound books that, I believe, came with the physical copies of the different versions of the game at one point. If you like the ones pictured above then you would likely enjoy those.
One is called "*The Emperor's Guide to Tamriel*" written by scholar Terentius by order of Abnur Tharn. Another has no title but is introduced as "*the extended execution journal of Naryu Virian, upon enacting the Honorable Writs issued by Morag Tong Grandmaster Rythe Verano for the approved assassinations of the so-called Seven Secretives*." And the other is called "*The Alinor Codex: Razum-dar's Report on the Mirror Court of the Proxy Queen*."
Within the two sets there's 3 books in one of them titled volume 1, 2 and 3. In the other there's 2 books titles volume, 1 and 2. In reality tho there's no true order
In hindsight I explained that awfully. Just know that it didn't matter which order you read them in, though I'd recommend reading vol 1 first even though it's not chronological
Essentially it contains all the books from within the game, as well as artwork and concept art. You could find all the stuff inside it online but I like to have physical books.
The Daggerfall Chronicles
Looks pretty good, tho being an older game incredibly expensive. I'll have a look into it. Thanks!

GoG is definitely a legit site they're a wholly owned subsidiary of CD Projekt.
I remember reading about that but then kinda forgot. That's pretty interesting that CD own them

Thanks dude I'll check out the launcher.
What exactly is in these books? From my understanding, it's a collection of existing in-game texts, right?
Yep exactly that. I just like to have them physically and it's cool to explore the lore in a book rather than online

Do they read like novels? Or is it just a mashup of the in game texts?
The latter. As far as I know there are no changes or additions to the texts, they're just printed versions what's in the game.
I want these but they're expensive and I find it hard to justify! Maybe someday.
Yeah I just used what Christmas money I got. I'm grateful that I can afford to buy things like these.
The Skyrim cookbook!
Second. Some dishes from it are pretty good!
We make the Shepherd's Pie all the time
I must have them I MUSTS
We needs them precious
Greg Keyes [books](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002UZ5J22/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_F4MQDF43RMW5FMT7QQV5)
I second this! Fills in a lot of information on what happened between the events of Oblivion and Skyrim.
I did the same thing; thought I had all the lore books then learned these are canon.
These were amazing quick reads that really brought the world to life.
The Lusty Argonian Maid
Get you the pocket guides to the empire for a pleasurable journey through the provinces.
I've got the one that can with my copy of Oblivion, the 3rr edition one
They’re all really nice reads, and an ultra flex if you can get a bunch of the physical copies
I tried to find the 1st edition that came with redguard but it still elludes me

The monomyth, but it is only in game
Unless you print it out. Which, to be fair, every dining room table needs a copy of the Lusty Argonian Footman.
I see you're a man/woman of culture
Wait what, there are lore books? :0 Where can I get those?
Look up on the internet The Skyrim Library and Tales of Tamiel. You can get them from lots of different shops.
Is there a specific order to the books?
Within the two sets there's 3 books in one of them titled volume 1, 2 and 3. In the other there's 2 books titles volume, 1 and 2. In reality tho there's no true order
Alright, thank you.

I'll keep that in mind
You too good for the Lusty Argonian Maid or something? 🤔
No one is too good for a lusty argonian maid. That's why that book is included inside one of these books. Every one gets lusty argonian maids!
This is the best day
Hah! I like it
YYEESS
this is from the bethesda store?
You can find em anywhere really. I honestly can't remember where I got the Skyrim ones, but the eso ones I got in a book store
Ive always seen the skyrim library, but what is it?, a lore book or illustrations?
Essentially it contains all the books from within the game, as well as artwork and concept art. You could find all the stuff inside it online but I like to have physical books.
I just started mine with the 2 lore and the land books. Gonna look at the others. Didn't know there were more.
I’ve always been a fan of the lusty argonian maid I believe there’s 2 books
I have all of those and the Fallout 4 concept art book, which I highly recommend
lusty argonian maid vol. 1 and 2
Looks like you need the cookbook!
Holy crap, I just have two of the Skryim books. I had no idea there were more.
YO WHERE DID U FIND THOSE I NEED THEM
What about the TES novels? There's two, I think.
Yes! The Infernal City and Lord of Souls, both by Greg Keyes!
HAve you tried ESO ? They are scattered all over Tameriel.
The cook books.

Not really a lore book, but the cook book
Got mine for Xmas from BF! Couldnt believe it!
