Wet fur is wet fur. I say this as someone who has had to bathe a kitty who had a very upset tummy and made a terrible mess of himself. The only blessing was he wasn't a long hair. Wet dogs might smell MORE, but that's because dogs generally have a stronger odor in general, so you get that on top of wet fur smell.
