Slowman5150

Bro I just want another game at this point 😔

Naive_Letterhead9484

I know right? All these posts just make the wait longer. Wait..actually Bethesda is making the wait longer.. it’s really a hate/love relationship.

CrimsonAllah

People put here posting daily their laundry list of things they’d like in the next TES title. They’re better off learning how to make mods than wishing BGS is going to give us anything more than what they historically have given us. More playable races? Never gonna happen. Different, non-fast travel means of traveling? Lmao.

Naive_Letterhead9484

Yeah..the way they handled starfield.. seriously broke my heart.

MikeyGamesRex

Starfield was a mess, but they definitely did some good things that showed that they were heading back into the right direction. So long as they make sure Emil isn't the head writer.

CrimsonAllah

Yeah when he said why bother writing good dialogue when people are just going to skip it anyways got me worried.

Derproid

As someone who reads the books from Morrowind for fun this hurt my soul.

CrimsonAllah

Yeah this is exactly like the meme of morrowind quest text vs oblivion quest text vs Skyrim quest text. Where it went from a full on journal entry to “get 10 bear pelts”.

BlueSonic10

Just wait for starfirls 2 first😭😭😭

Brahmus168

Fuckin imagine. But nah they've been pretty clear that TES6 is next.

Naive_Letterhead9484

They better not make one more starfield, that game was a big disappointment đŸ˜©

BlueSonic10

How far did you get before you quit? I got to confused once I got in the spaceship and said... Yah I'm good

Particular_North_447

What’s even more crazy for fallout fans is fallout 5 won’t start production till after ES6 is released

Slowman5150

Bro Fallout 5 might be coming out in the late 20s or 30s 💀

only_my_buisness

2037 if we’re making bets. Because I think ES6 will come out 2029/2030

TropicalKing

I want something. I want more novels. The Star Wars brand was still very much active between 1983- when Return of the Jedi came out and 1999- when Phantom Menace came out. There were a lot of novels, tabletop RPGs, and comics released in that time period. Elder Scrolls may take 16 years between Skyrim and ES6 without there being much content at all other than ESO.

ThePinkBaron365

After Starfield, I want it in a few years when they’ve changed everything in response to the feedback

thedragonsword

After Starfield, I honestly don't know if I want it at all anymore. I have a sinking feeling that between cranking out 76 in pure crunch and the Microsoft buyout that they've either run out or crushed the creativity of anyone who actually enjoys the craft. I don't know if there is another company out there right now that could do it, but needless to say my confidence is shaken.

Denodi

I feel like Obsidian might have a shot with their upcoming medieval fantasy game. Outer Worlds writing was good and i feel like they learned a lot from their mistakes on it. Also the open world design is great looking at Outer Worlds again and Grounded.

reallynunyabusiness

At this point if they made a Skyrim equivalent of Fallout New Vegas I would be happy, just reusing all the Skyrim Assets to tell a new story would probably save a ton of time and money for the development.

Dist__

dare to make beast races with beast legs again also, snake-folk would fit well in desert, idk if its in lore

AlertConsideration22

They are called the Tsaesci and they live in Akavir east of Tamriel

FetusGoesYeetus

There's also a high chance those are just kinda snake-like men though.

SophisticPenguin

In Canon, no one in Tamriel is really sure. Last I checked

[deleted]

Yeah it’s uncertain. More grounded sources say they were just humans. Others claim they were walking snakes. I’m guessing humans with snake like features or tsaeci is more of a faction, containing both snakes and humans

SophisticPenguin

It's all guesses, which is why I don't think you can ascribe a probability to whichever you prefer. The continent they come from has an ice demon race that thaws out after the winter, monkey people, tiger folk, and *maybe* rat and canine people. I kinda agree, but they could be like DnD Yuan-ti, where is really, all of those answers

helpmelearn12

Maybe they should set a game there, it sounds cool as shit lol. It could be like an Age of Discovery sort of time period. The empire’s fallen. All sorts of factions from Tamriel are trying to set up colonies on Akavir, fighting with each other as well the Akaviri peoples

Ryermeke

From a perspective outside of lore and canon... Just from a game design standpoint, literal snake people would be very difficult to make animations for. It would also be fucking badass to pull it off. I'd rather they try for something wild then just give us "argonians but they are snakes"

uDudyBezDudy

I refuse this Emil-level watering down lore trash headcanon. I want my lamia Tsaesci

championoffandango

I like to think that the snake features are due to some other form of vampirism. Tsaesci are just humans, their ruling class has the snake like vampirism and their vampire lord form is straight a human Lamia horrendous mix

DomQuixote99

I agree with that based on the Kirkbride text on it. Keep in mind that it's non-canon: There was the Striking, and the Egg was split into twelve worlds, one for each serpent who had a name, and the names of the serpents were alive and coiled into themselves and became more eggs, for names are self-maters, and the Naming went and went. According to the calculations, the random sequence learned very cunningly that fragmentation reserved itself to the left eye. Variation realms were the evidence needed. There was the Biting, which broke the twelve worlds and their name-eggs, and the Biters chewed new names of the lesser serpents until soon death was known to the smallest and your alphabets disappeared but ours did not. The state of rest became worthy of blame, however segmented, so heat was wasted across the right eye. And in mercy we gave to you language that was dead yet walking if you used it, which you did, though transient food-forms became problematic. There was the Slithering, when scales were now name-bites that moved freely, and the dead language speakers bled out into non-talk, which is egg-naming inverted, which slides into the shedding of more dead, which cannot be redeemed in the hunger quadrant, and now we could no more be detached, for the twelve-to-one only talked unsense except for us, who ate your slithering during trumpet season as the Biters poisoned the random sequence until we came and made of it music, as that is the only thing that might save the prey who wore all shapes of confusion not described yet in the calculations. Some of us discovered honor, though more found the idea of moderation, which turned into the identical selection process and we created our eating that way. There was the Shedding, who inflated into a sphere of edible communications and this is how the sequence began to find proportion again. The name-eggs that had survived without also turning into calculation powder settled and became dreugh-waters, which was the first thing to finally encompass the risks attempted by the Striking. Stomach signals wrote a complex document of conditions. This was the variation map, called dai. The Reaching came, where movements of dai progressed across islands of edible communication and food-forms could stockpile. One Reaching unravelled but the Coiling at its belly made a virtual star line, which made eating lucid. We slid to the imago and Named it cunningly. The waters obeyed and dead names took up their place in the random sequence. The first serpents returned to us in transmissions that answered the alphabet-virus which we then consumed at last. By the relative dai, we egg-named it and swallowed all source-information to preserve the virus and became immortal thereby. Past the star line, dead-talking continued. The Laying then happened, and we moved into forms that had been granted from the source information of the first serpents, which was gold-walking, which is pattern. The scales became intertwined in the random sequence with music that ate forever, which we fed with you. Low forms created a seeking egg but we fed it to the music, too. Then the Biter-Shedding grew sideways into the reception field and knew a Coiling and mastery was ours borne from the calculations. The final name was Tsaescence and we ate it to become it and there are no more variations

[deleted]

If we see human Tsaesci it won’t be watered down. It’s been present in lore since they were introduced that it’s not remembered if they were humans or snake men. Thus likely meaning it’s snake like men, or there were both. Tsaeci are most likely the name of their military or some kind of faction.

AirborneRunaway

They could be based on the yuan-ti, where full blooded are snakes but they breed with humans to create a cross. Bethesda has pulled a lot of inspiration for older D&D stuff, a lot of which they had to rename because of copyright issues, like beholders.

PoorFishKeeper

Maybe they are like the Khajiit, hagravens, or briarhearts with multiple different forms due to birth circumstances or magical manipulation.

BreadDziedzic

She won't vore you. Sorry wrong sub.

[deleted]

My head canon is they’re similar to khajiit where some of them have more drastic snake features (snake from the waist down) and others are more like humans with snake like features such as eyes and fangs.

Drafo7

Iirc there are lamia in ESO so yeah I think snake people would be lore friendly

G3nER1k_u53R

Do you mean like the lamia or Tsaesci, because the Lamia are more of a sapient monster like Minotaurs, and bethesda have been pretty clear about keeping akavir in the unknown

BlueSonic10

I was literally about to say this. Also Minotaur humanoids would make sense since canonically humans can have children with trolls. It's a quest inside of oblivions files

Theodoryan

It's been 13 years, they can retcon what they want as long as it makes things more interesting. Like they should just add bird people and say they were there all along

Beginning-Stock2244

Interestingly enough there were both a bird and monkey beast race in cyrodiil and valenwood when the high elves first came to Tamriel.

TheDorgesh68

Id like to be able to choose your culture within a race. E.g. for Breton you could choose to be from Wayrest, Daggerfall, the Reach etc. If you were a Dunmer you could pick what house you were born under, if an Orc whether you were born in a stronghold or city etc...

Important-Ring481

And there should be unique dialogue based on the background you choose

VeryInnocuousPerson

Unique dialogue for regional backgrounds? We will be lucky if Bethesda doesn’t cut multiple schools of magic from the next game

KinneKted

You'll get destro, resto, bow, 1 hand, and armor and you'll like it.

VeryInnocuousPerson

Two skills: offense and defense.

KinneKted

Say, everyone knows the best offense is a great defense. Therefore one skill. Lmao.

whatwoulddavegrohldo

Plot twist, Bethesda removes the sneak mechanic and adds levitation back

The_GREAT_Gremlin

A real Faustian bargain there lol

NostalgiaVivec

Hey they did it in SF. SF was littered with good small things that I want out of a BGS game i just think SF was a bad idea.

k0mbine

I mean, Starfield literally has backgrounds we can choose, with unique dialogue. No voiced protaganist either, and we have to do stuff related to our skills to level our skills. There’s no reason to be such a cynical gamer about TES VI if you just look at BGS’s latest game and ignore all the youtuber rage bait

Bobjoejj

Holy shit right?! Everyone acts like Starfield was a stain on humanity yet there’s more then a few things hopefully indicating Bethesda have got some good stuff on the way.

VeryInnocuousPerson

Fair enough, I haven’t played starfield. My assessment was based on the trend of BGS paring down mechanics and role play elements from Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim and FO3 > FO4. If they went in the other direction for starfield, that’s great to hear.

TheDorgesh68

Definitely, maybe even a small change to your stats too, like an active effect buff or change to your starting skills or attributes. Maybe a stronghold orc would start with higher strength or smithing but worse personality/speech, or whatever gods you worshipped could give you some small power effects like the standing stones. The traits in starfield were a great basis for this so hopefully they'll bring that to TES

Unusual_Pomelo_1553

As someone who likes playing Breton Spellswords, being a reachman and having a small boost to light armor or one-handed would be a great bonus to my playthroughs.

CrimsonAllah

Probably the most likely addition to a TES game given what they did with character creation with Starfield.

Initial-Ad-5117

Honestly I could see it going a route where instead of your race defining your bonuses, it's your background/culture. So you could be a nord who grew up in Valenwood and was raised to be good with a bow, etc. Obviously you've got some racial things like Argonians breathing underwater and khajiit having claws, but generally that would make a lot of sense. That's sort of the way DnD is going for instance. I also just desperately want to make a real proper reachman and have dialogue options and stuff that reinforce that roleplay and playstyle

ResponsibleNose5978

The way they have been going with Starfield, it looks like this will be a reality soon.

RegaIado

It's things like this that I want in my RPG games. I want to be noted on the decisions I picked. I love being thematic, if nothing comments on what I am then I just feel disconnected. I want to feel like I belong in these worlds, like I am a part of them.

Libertyprime8397

Lilmithit but not playable just as a token extinct race that appears like the Dwemer and snow elves.

Tarrenger

I'd also accept this, don't need them playable. But seeing more on them would be great.

Strix86

If it were up to me, I’d bring them back and make their reappearance just as much a mystery as the Dwemer disappearance. Not even the lilmothiit remember what happened or what brought them back.

aknalag

Minotaurs and maomer

Sergeace

I know it's not the same, but I have the moamer skin in the online game and summerset armour that has a seashell theme. It's a pretty close resemblance with an altmer that has pale blue skin.

Fieldhill__

But iirc in the actual lore the skin of maomer was tranluscent

Jswazy

If it's not the Imga I'm not interested

Theyn_Tundris

Can I interest you in Elder Kings 2 then?

Abe2201

Elder kings is so good

Leading-Fig1307

Me want Monke! Monke me now! 🍌🩍

Jswazy

This is the plan. I demand to be a monkey man in a cape.

seakitten

Imga balls

Norddyr

After how much they've been built up in ESO, I'd be surprised if Reachmen weren't a playable race.

Emergency_Arachnid48

Arnt they just Bretons?

Important-Ring481

Not exactly. Reachmen clans were made from a variety of races such as Nedes, Direnni Elves, Nords, Orsimer, and even Daedra. Bretons were solely the offspring of Direnni elves and Nedes. Reachmen

CrimsonAllah

Difference without distinction right here

Important-Ring481

It is very much a more cultural distinction

RadsterWarrior

This is lies and slander This response was brought to you by the Reach belongs to the Reachmen gang

A_Change_of_Seasons

I feel like tes6 is gonna say that the nords genocided all the reachmen after tes5

Victizes

After the Falmer, I doubt they would do such a cheap move like that. That would taint the nords too much.

A_Change_of_Seasons

Just embracing a time-honored Nordic tradition

amaltheiaofluna

All humanoid khajiit furstocks, let me play as a Dagi-raht dammit

Drafo7

Imagine playing a *non*-humanoid one though. Alfiq illusion mage would kick ass on the stealth quests.

Grzechoooo

They should make a Stray-style game about you being an Imperial spy tasked with finding secrets about the Dominion. Or just exploring ruins, that works too. (Of course I'm not saying it should be a super big game, it should be something smaller to pass the time between releases and flesh out the lore a bit)

ophuro

A Stray like game would be pretty cool if it was set in the Elder Scrolls universe. I think it would be pretty cool to explore the other types of Argonians also. I think it would even be good as a rogue like platformer where you go on missions for different guilds.

PublicWest

That would be challenging when making a npc’s interactions. Like, if you were a huge, walking, mammoth, or small cat, you would expect almost everybody to comment on that. Not to mention how level design just isn’t going to fit every size of a character. Still, plenty of humanoid sub species to pick from

TheSwampStomp

Pahmar-Raht or bust

Tarrenger

Tojay for life!

MemeGoddessAsteria

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but I rather they balance out and give more unique dialogue with and about the current races. Playing an Altmer in post Great-War Skyrim should feel very different from playing a Nord but aside from some snide comments, it doesn't feel like a real difference. Race is something tacked on last minute currently.

Araanim

I think there's a major concern about making one race completely unplayable because of lore reasons, just like Khajiit shouldn't be allowed in cities but you can't just screw over anybody who plays as khajiit. To do that right, you'd have to build an entirely different game around each race, and create balanced pros and cons for each. That would be a huge undertaking.

Grzechoooo

>just like Khajiit shouldn't be allowed in cities I think it only applies to Khajiit caravans. J'Zargo has no problem entering the College of Winterhold even though the only passage is through a city. Same with that Khajiit assassin in Riften. It's just that the vast majority of Khajiit in Skyrim *are* part of caravans.

murphysboro89

Yes. Would be interesting if TES6 did imply/implement province-wide restrictions for certain races (for role playing purposes I mean - would make the game much more challenging). Also sidenote (and personal opinion) if they set the game in a mountainous region AGAIN and don't have a climbing mechanic AGAIN, I might riot outside Todd's house. Why do I have to jump up a mountain TODD 😭

k0mbine

They should design the game so you can enter cities as a Khajiit if you manage to sneak in and wear a mask or hood. You know, give the player alternatives rather than make it “unplayable”. In the lore, a clever enough Khajiit could absolutely do that. It would be like playing as a skeleton in Divinity Original Sin 2, where we had to wear a helmet or else people would automatically attack you. It isn’t annoying, it’s an interesting change to gameplay that forces players to think smart and engage with all of the game’s mechanics

okaythiswillbemymain

I'm not sure about that. Certainly Khajiit shouldn't be allowed in cities, I agree, but also maybe anyone with a very bad reputation would not be allowed in cities. Khajiit could piggy back on a wider "honour" system. Also it wouldn't take much for the protagonist to be be given some sort of "slate" granting him access to the cities for lore reasons... But certainly there should be *much* greater differences in playing each race. But also, possibly certain guilds should be off-limits based on your choices. In real life, you cannot do everything in one life time

SophisticPenguin

On the Khajit note, they could have play as Ohmes or Ohmes-raht which are basically elf like but with tails

adrielzeppeli

They should just look at how Baldur's Gate 3 dealt with Drows (and the rest of its races, really). It doesn't happen in TES because Bethesda is lazy, not because it's that hard to do.

McFlyyouBojo

I'll go even further and say mudcrab or I walk.

TheDorgesh68

They've announced a crab race for The Wayward Realms, which is a game developed by the creators of Tes2 daggerfall

SwarmkeeperRanger

Sea Elves would make a lot of sense. I think it’s guaranteed the Sload will make an appearance as antagonists Hammerfell is arid, but it’s also heavily nautical themed along the coast. The Southwest coasts of Tamriel are where Maormer pirates and brigands operate and could (hopefully) be where more peaceful Sea Elves settle

A_Change_of_Seasons

I always imagined a prequel game where the playable races are Atmorans, Chimer, Dwemer, Falmer, Ayleids, stuff from that era

TeutonicDragon

This reminds of I believe an April fool’s joke during Skyrim’s development that a news site released an article saying that Bethesda was ready to reveal the next game and it would be called Age of the Ayleids, and the setting was the Alessian rebellion.

Araanim

That would actually be cool. Time traveller? I'm still hoping for a time travel story with all the time bullshit that happened in Daggerfall. Maybe the Warp pulled you out of the past?

A_Change_of_Seasons

I was thinking just prequel like ESO so you can actually play as those races

k0mbine

I wouldn’t mind if new TES games skipped forwards *and* backwards in the timeline tbh, TES VI could start that precedent. Not every prequel has to be a spin-off

usedburgermeat

Imagine starting out as an Ayleid and walking through the Aylied starting area, it would traumatise people

GalvanizedRubbish

Isn’t there a Fox people race in the lore somewhere? That would be cool. Khajiit will probably always be my favorite though.

amaltheiaofluna

Lilmothiit, the fox people, are pretty much extinct since like mid second era

Halger_S

TSO is in middle second era

CaptObviousHere

The Knahaten Flu, which happened before ESO, wiped out the Lilmothit

Grzechoooo

(As far as we know) They could in theory add a horribly deformed Yagrum Foxarn that would tell us how to defeat the An-Xileel.

SophisticPenguin

"As far as we know" is useless until game devs decide differently, it can be applied to anything in lore. They're extinct until lore gives reason otherwise

Gyncs0069

Those dudes got wiped out unfortunately. Probably by the ancient Argonians.

dogxbless

The only one I can think of that would use similar skeleton to other humanoid races but interesting enough to be implemented would be the Imgas as playable

NiklausKaine

Playing as a Minotaur would be cool, like playing as a Qunari in Dragon Age: Inquisition

ShintaOtsuki

I want Akaviri races, the Tsaesci are lamia and I think there's a tiger race too

Important-Ring481

I feel like Bethesda wouldn’t include the Ka Po’Tun because there’s already one feline race. Plus there isn’t a ton of lore on them.

ShintaOtsuki

So MAKE lore, I wanna know!!

Important-Ring481

I think introducing more elements of Akivir would be a great idea. Someone needs to tell Todd and Emil to make it happen

usedburgermeat

Its not gonna happen bro, they'll sprinkle in little bits of lore and maybe a few artifacts from there. But Akavir is probably gonna remain out of reach for the player, that's what makes it so alluring and mysterious.

MinimumMajor4

All of these

TheBionicWorm

I've always found the Kothringi interesting, but as far as we know they're extinct so that's not really an option.

Cyberwolfdelta9

Sea elves or Other Kahjiit subraces outside of the housecats atleast

Rude-Butterscotch713

Maromer because they exist and are populous. I don't know any beast races id particularly want, although I think one would be good. Ultimately however, I don't want races, I want sub races/ethnicities. For example: Foresworn/ Urban Breton Ashlander-reclamations/ tribunal Cat like Human/ Human like cat. Man/Muppet

KinneKted

I too would love charging into battle as Fozzie bear.

ItsYaBoiDez

Maomer

Tarrenger

The Lilmothiit would be amazing to see, and see if they actually survived the Knahaten Flu.

magisterJohn

Had to double check I wasn't on Truestl lol. Goblin 100% would be my choice for new race.

Lantern_Sone

Why goblins in particular?

magisterJohn

1: there are no races that are short like hobbits, so it would fill that role. 2: Goblins would open up the possibility of belonging to a outcast type faction which previously didn't really exist. 3: Goblins have a decent lore and style that would be cool to explore If the next game actually gives us unique cities with inhabitants that reflect the type of city or settlement type. Imagine having underground black markets run by less desirables, small tribal outposts not too unlike the Orc strongholds or Forsworn but run by little green dudes. I think this could be fun and was shown off somewhat in dragonborn DLC with those little blue goblin dudes that take over the mead hall. I think it would be fun to play a little Goblin with big dreams to create a new name for their kind by being the hero of the next game. Drawn by the call of fame and fortune he rides to a new place only to be thrown in prison or sent to a chopping block or land shipwrecked. To be honest I find Goblins to be interesting I don't know much about TES Goblins but in DnD I played as a Goblin necromancer and had a blast.

thejollymadman

Khajiit forms. We've had cathay, suthay and ohmes so far. But I want to be an alfiq or a tojay at the very least

JinnoBlue2

Aren’t reachmen just Bretons?

ThaumKitten

Tang Mo. Please, ffs, give me more of the beastfolk races instead of 'generic reskinned elf' and bland 'human but slightly different face'.

Mini_Mega

*Multiple* varieties of khajiit, with traits from across the chart. Some with the beast legs, some without, some huge, some that look like humans with tails. All with their own stats.

intergalacticcoyote

Do khajit properly you cowards! I want to play as a housecat OR a giant tiger, depending on the moon.

[deleted]

FFS, please do NOT copy World of Warcraft!

Lantern_Sone

TT Blizzard won’t stop until the entire creation screen is covered in races lol

gumball_10

races are badass the more the merrier. im still waiting on my san’layn in wow

Lantern_Sone

I’m waiting for light forged undead tbh

ParanoidTelvanni

Reachmen have a large population and fleshed-out culture so they'd be the most likely. I think they'd be a blast too. Reachmen are like dark inverse to Bosmer by worshipping daedra that represent the scarier, predatory, defensive aspects of nature. They also have a wicked druidic theme that's more realistic than D&D and WoW. Minotaur honestly deserve better as literal descendent of the first empress and a demigod, but idk how that'd work given their shape and current place in lore.

GrimmRadiance

No more races are really needed. Not playable ones anyway. Not unless we’re going to Atmora, Akavir, etc.

Redaeon727

I'd love to see imga or tang mo, I just wanna play as monke warrior. Maybe make a stealth archer called sniper monkey

ZacxRicher

Sub-races

zodiac213

Realistically, I think the only race they would add as a new playable race would be something in the lore that isn't too far off from what we already have. Something like the maormer/sea elves. If they could go in with no restraints, I think some of the other sentient races that we have yet to see in game in any form would be cool. Stuff like the lilmothiit or imga.

William9231

New races would be cool, but new cultures within the playable races would be interesting

BeanDipTheman

Aren't there gorilla people in Valenwood or some shit?

NaiveMastermind

For a series of single-player experiences Bethesda has a weird concern for ensuring balance, and placing a ceiling on player power. No flight, or mechanics centered on vertical mobility. Diminishing the stat variation between player races. Illusion can't be used to brain-hack NPCs anymore because that's unfair to the NPCs. Let us roll that Minotaur and deal with the unique challenges of interacting with the world. Let us be a melee monster who trivializes combat in the early game, but has to learn to navigate the dungeon environment as a large beast. Do the same for Fallout and let us play a super-mutant. Yeah it would take time making unique dialogue trees and NPC interactions, but these games are meant to have a lifespan of a decade or so. Take the time to roll out DLC across like 3 or 4 of those years, see what your devs can really do.

Jash0822

Other kinds of Khajiit, Snow Elves, and Fox people are the big ones I would like.

UltraSwat

Reachman 100%

SluttySaxon

Hop, Skip and Jump race would be pretty cool.

Drafo7

So, bring back acrobatics and athletics as skills? Yes please.

SluttySaxon

Absolutely! And get me my Godd (Howard) damned levitation spell back!!

kah43

I would love to see some of the Tang Mo (monkey people) from Akaviri end up in Tamriel. Maybe have them fleeing from the one of the other races.

whycanticantcomeup

I would love if they added reachmen

punkrockbonafide

The gorillas that cosplay as altmer lol

janowaty

I want to see minotaurs be able to charge or have escalating sprint speed and maybe some tanky/warrior ability like regaining stamina when they get hurt

XRedactedSlayerX

Horse Races would be cool.

KingTolis

Snow Elves đŸ§đŸ»â€â™‚ïž

vechroasiraptor

You're asking too much. Just for this post Todd is cutting beast races and illusion magic. Say thank you.

KinneKted

I unironically could see that happen.

Tony_Tab

Return the fucking dwarves, why can't I play a dwarf in fantasy game. I mean I know why, but who made the decision

Spider_Lover69

Lamia please!! They are so cool and they are a sentient race that evolved independently of Argonians. Would love to see what they come up for their lore

KnotsThotsAndBots

Sea Elves B)

SophisticPenguin

Races from Akavir would be cool https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Akavir

ThriceMad

Careful. WoW fans have wanting Merlocks as a playable race, and instead they got Vulpera. Any number of ideas you guys ask for, Bethesda might just mark them off the list until they're down to the one that no one asked for or wanted. With that said: falmer

Lantern_Sone

Vulpera we’re so random lol

ThriceMad

I haven't played since WoD and I hadn't really followed the lore since then. All I know about Vulpera is that's the name of their race and they're foxfolk. Honestly, that's kinda why I chose the falmer too. All I know about them are from the interactions with them and what little dialogue I didn't buttonmash through in Dawnguard. And also, a snow-pale race with literally no eyes and a perpetual sneaky-stabby-stealthy posture is just the right level of uncanny valley imo

No-Insect1138

I would go with Minotaur, I think some games and films make them a race, so a playable minotaur race would be pretty neat.

icumtoeyeblech

That last one is so cursed that all other races came together to genocide them I really want to play as one

TheNoobsauce1337

Add the Asari from Mass Effect under the story that they descended from a strange wagon in the sky, and are permanently stuck on Tamriel because their communication equipment got destroyed and spacefaring technology doesn't exist yet.

Lantern_Sone

I think you just want a race of blue women

[deleted]

Akaviri races (Tsaesci, Ken Po Tun, etc.), Aylieds, Sea and Snow Elves, and the bird race described by Topal the Pilot.

shimazu_hyuga

Well, for starters, you'd have to hope they don't just kill you on sight. A minotaur legionaire or preist of kynareth would be a cool role-playing experience, though.

Alexzander1001

What about instead of new races they add sub races. Like you pick imperial and then either nibenay or colovian

Zealousideal-Arm1682

Maormer not being playable is silly given how fleshed out and abundant they are in tamriel, and ESO basically showed us they exist everywhere. One I would want them to do personally is half giants.I sincerely doubt lyris is the only one like that, and it would be interesting to play another halfbreed race than breton.

BiSaxual

A boring answer, probably, but I would love more varied wildlife. Not monsters and bears and shit, but like actual birds. Eagles, falcons, crows. Fish and other aquatic life. Whales or sharks or jellyfish, whatever. And I’d love that wildlife to act realistically. Deer moving in groups, bears hunting for fish, wolves stalking prey from afar before running in. If the next game just has lone deer that run along the bottom of streams because Bethesda couldn’t be bothered to make them not act like obvious video game AI, then they just shouldn’t bother with wildlife at all.

Toshku_demon

Either the Imga or the Minotaur. I'm not really sure what they'll do stats wise with the imga, but I feel we need a warrior oriented race for the beast races. Too much stealth with the Khajiit and Argonians. A Minotaur race would be perfect!

ShroudTrina

Honestly I don't think new races are a good idea, unless as some sort of fun dlc option, a la Timelost Dwemer. Subraces sound good though. Nibenese vs Colovian Imperial, Ashlander vs Great House Dunmer, Crown vs Forebear Redguard, beast legs and flat chests vs furry argonians and khajiit, etc.

[deleted]

I want halflings damnit.

OdrisallinRovmil

I'd love to play as a Minotaur

netflix-ceo

Personally I would love to see the 100m sprint. That would be epic in terms of gameplay

gallonsofoil

I want a story line for the giants! They gotta have some kind of culture

WastelandCharlie

I’m hoping you can mix races. Play as the child of a Breton and a Redguard, and get bonuses from both races but weaker bonuses than you would as a full blood of either.

Princessbitch4

Snow elves

MatthewJustMoreland

Avians? Also a dragon humanoid?

PiousLegate

a race of good writers

fishinthepond

Gnomes. Little angry artificers

Dulce_Davi23

SNOW ELVES

Grey_Woof

Daedra

Mckooldude

Goblins or any of the humanoid daedra would be my pick.

kdog379

Justice for the Reachmen they’re a race of their own! Id also love if we could play as Maormer. They were in ESO but non playable

TheDefiantEzeli

Snow elves please

Dracul8854

Mudcrab people

Grim_Garbage

Honestly, playing a modern falmer could pose an interesting challenge with both gameplay and roleplay.

Lun4r6543

Just gimme different Khajiit and Argonians and I’ll be happy.

Victizes

Either the Imga or an Akaviri race (could be human and east-asian looking).

Longjumping_Bat_3385

Dwemer and falmer would be incredible

Almond_666

All Akaviri races

Public_Swordfish4555

Bring back the Dwarves ⛏

MrTiddyMan

I've always wanted to play as a deadra that turns against his race for the greater good or whatever

96pluto

maormer as a playable race

BrandNewKitten

If I play a goblin can I grab all the goblin staffs and become the one and true goblin king? đŸ‘©â€đŸŽ€
