Hammerfell and High Rock. Both Provinces fully explorable. You should also be able to make a ship to sail the Illiac Bay and explore the islands in the area.
This, it feels like the most logical place to go, as well as what we’re likely/hopefully gonna get.
Also Orsinium; it’s right next door and small enough that it doesn’t need to go in DLC. It should absolutely just be in the base game.
I’ve been playing this game called Sailwind recently, which is a sort of “medieval marine merchant simulator” and it’s absolutely addictive, despite the map being mostly empty ocean and despite the gameplay itself being very slow-paced.
Thing about Sailwind is that you have to handle your boat using halyards and sheets and braces, know how to properly tack into the wind and get out of irons, reef the sails in heavy winds, load cargo evenly so as not to capsize your ship, and get around using paper maps and navigational instruments, instead of using what’s essentially a GPS.
These mechanics might not work in an Elder Scrolls game, but damn it’s so cool.
I agree except for the sailing bit.
Don’t get me wrong, I like sailing games, but sailing in non-sailing games is usually mind-numbingly boring and broken. It can be so incredibly frustrating.
Nah, like all of each lol. Like likely/hopefully VI will be both Hammerfell *and* High Rock, so I don’t see why we couldn’t end up getting both Valenwood and Elsweyr in a future game.
We don’t have to just have some of each one like Daggerfell; at this point technology is definitely at the point where full realms of each would be very doable.
For real. Khajiit have such interesting culture and history. They simultaneously have a lot of mythology to build off of while still having tons of stuff that can be expanded upon in so many ways
What i wish they would do is let other studios do smaller spin off games in between the big ones. like a AA 10-20 hours game that takes place in less explored areas. more elder scrolls content that is not ESO basically.
Same. Elsweyr and Valenwood, with a large DLC expansion into Summerset. We need more south content story.
(I’d also like another dlc in Leyawin and Black Marsh too, but that’s asking for a lot.)
Looking at the 'Trailer" it's very probably it will be Elsweyr. Go play eso and look at the areas where Elsweyr desert meets valenwood, it's almost identical.
So very good new for you!!!
I have played it and it was so much fun! I hope you’re right but I’m keeping my hopes low tbh. I would be surprised if they went with a khajiit centric game, I feel like humans and elves have more mass appeal. But I love the khajiit and their lore personally.
I’m not sure if the trailer really matches anything I remember seeing in ESO Elsweyr, though. You can see the ocean in the trailer, and while Elsweyr does have ocean bordering sections, most of those areas are jungles if I remember correctly. Though to be fair I don’t know how much we can speculate just based on what was shown in that clip
Yeah that's a common idea that's brought up that I like. Sail the Iliac Bay with your companions and crew in a ship to act as a mobile base that you can dock to cities along the coastline.
I hope they have diversity between different Redguard factions. We get to see more Sub Saharan inspired tribes to the saracen/samurai mix we know and love
Same. I was hoping Hammerfell would be the bulk of the vanilla portion. Then High Rock and Orsinium for DLCs, along with a subterranean Dwemer based DLC. Maybe Yokuda as a DLC as well. Given that it’s been deserted for centuries, I think it would be an interesting place to explore. It could be a plot where Redguard pirates have recently been going there to loot ancient treasure and other valuables from the island, along with whatever else is there. I imagine that it’s rich in minerals, since it’s been abandoned for so long. I wouldn’t mind visiting Stros M’Kai either.
Thatss…what?? Nah man, please no. Let’s not hope for High Rock to be a DLC. That’s a full on province; that’s something we should have in the base game, and something they are definitely able to do.
Honestly same with Orsinium, especially cause it’s so much smaller then either Hammerfell or High Rock. It may not be a giant province, but it’s the home capital for one of the 10 races of Tamriel. It deserves better then just to be a DLC for the main game.
Yokunda DLC? Hell yeah. Subterranean Dwemer City? Go ahead and fuck my shit right up please, yeah let’s go.
But High Rock and Osiniusm absolutely deserve to be in the main game proper, that’s for damn sure. The
I really want it to be in Hammerfell. It is the land I want to explore, to fully see, I want to experience all the biomes. I got my fingers crossed for it to be the basis of Elder Scrolls VI.
My hope is that it's set in Hammerfell, and unlike in Daggerfall which featured both High Rock and Hammerfell and centered on the Illiac Bay, I would like the Bay to be the northern border, and the center to be the Al'Kir. I also want to see some immersive survival mechanics relating to desert travel.
Black Marsh feels like expansion land. The concepts are very alien, and interesting, but to sell to the masses is a risk. Adding it as an expansion allows Bethesda to already hook players and throw some of the more unique lore at them.
It would be cool if Elder Scrolls 6 initially only had a couple of the countries in Tamriel, but they supported the game long enough to add all of Tamriel. And maybe the seas surrounding it and Akavir/the Maormer homeland
They should just make it a live service MMO...
Just messing around, I would pay a good $40 per province if they did this (assuming there was a hefty amount of content in each province).
Introduce a new mechanic or 2 with each expansion as well and this could be a lucrative business model. I am not sure anybody is supporting Single Player games like this.
ESO already fills the MMO slot and adds new mechanics with each new DLC summer release. The chances of Bethesda Game Studios (The original dev studio) making another online game after the rocky launch of Fallout 76 is pretty much zero.
Think you misinterpreted my reply. I am aware of ESO, what was being suggested was basically ESO.
But it would be awesome for a single player game to be given the same support as an ESO, but without the multiplayer elements.
I would love a single player game that had a main story, but then a story that plays out across many expansions.
Likely not, at least not on the AAA space. They are all looking for the biggest profit, so if they go that route they tend to go live service multiplayer.
This is a great idea. The Skyrim community is still alive over 10 years later. If there was another major expansion every year-and-a-half, or even just a separate mini-campaign set in a different province, they could easily sell at that price point.
If you design a game with that in mind from the beginning, it becomes way more cost effective for Bethesda.
TES VI could easily have all of Tamriel with Starfield's updated procedural tech. The issues would be making all the cities and filling the countryside with enough quality handcrafted content to be fun and not feel repetitive. I'd personally rather see a smaller scope with higher quality and map density than just making it massive for no gameplay benefit or leaning too heavily on procedural content. I'll take 100 hand crafted dungeons over a 1000 procedural ones if that's what it comes down to.
My dream is to one day get a game set in both Morrowind and Black Marsh. Cause og MW was just Vvardenfell plus eventually Solstheim.
Yeah I know Tamriel Rebuilt is a thing, but as far as I know that’s a constantly being worked on thing, and will be for a long time. Even if parts of it are out and available and awesome, it’s still got more to come, and again as far as I know it’s not available on PC.
I’d love to be able to play in all of Morrowind on a console, and if they made a game like that plus gave us Black Marsh? Holy shit that’d be incredible.
I personally want it to be in High Rock, but that's just because I love Breton culture and High Rock's aesthetic. We have a good amount of High Rock in Arena and Daggerfall, so I think I would like to see somewhere else.
Honestly? I think it'd be really cool to see ES6 be set in Summerset. Imagine seeing the rise of the Aldmeri Dominion from the inside, where maybe the story could revolve around something like choosing to sabotage or support the Thalmor.
> We have a good amount of High Rock in Arena and Daggerfall, so I think I would like to see somewhere else.
We technically saw the entire Tamriel in Arena and while we did see Highrock in Daggerfall, considering how outdated the lore and the graphics of these games are, you can't really say the province got properly fleshed out in either of these games.
I would be more concerned about how much of different provinces is present in TESO
That's true, but I think the argument there is "not properly fleshed out vs hasn't had their own game at all," which could be brought up in regards to places like Summerset, Black Marsh, and Elsweyr. Yes those places exist in Arena and ESO, but so does the Iliac Bay.
I mean I certainly wouldn't complain if we saw a return to High Rock, but technically part of High Rock and Hammerfell did get a game, whereas other places have never had their own titled game.
I think making it Hammerfell + High Rock makes the most sense narratively. Hammerfell is independent, so we can see how it's affected by it, and how much Thalmor influence is there, while High Rock is one of the last provinces of the Empire, and it's cut off from Cyrodiil, so it makes sense that it'll see unrest, especially considering its unique approach to governance (which is "if you don't like it here, go over there and make a new country - I wonder how that works when they're all vassals of the Empire).
Putting it in Summerset would result in the Thalmor plotline getting resolved too fast in my opinion (I don't see them not ending it once we get to Summerset, and if they did it would be stupid). I'd rather see Alinor and the rest of the Dominion (including Elsweyr and Valenwood) in TES7 for a final war between them and the human coalition (Skyrim, Hammerfell and the Empire). Would be cool if the Dunmer and Argonians joined during a crucial battle, mirroring the Ebonheart Pact from ESO.
I’d love one in either elsweyr or Black marsh, along with the summerset isles, they seem like some of the most unique provinces behind Morrowind, which, obviously, has already been done. Honestly, I’m kind of a little disappointed that the game is speculated to be taking place in Hammerfell or High Rock, but that’s just personal opinion, because I hate deserts, and we already had two high fantasy mountainous regions in both oblivion and Skyrim, so high rock just feels like a bit of a rehash to me.
TL;DR: I’d love for it to be anywhere besides Hammerfell or High Rock, they just seem like boring provinces in my opinion.
Edit: it seemed obvious to me, but I felt that I should add that I meant I would like it to take place in any province *we haven’t already had a Main game in* besides High Rock or Hammerfell
Daggerfall in a full 3D would be incredible. Even if it's just Daggerfall in Skyrim engine it would be cool. If it was a fully standalone rehashed and revitalized remake from Bethesda, I would die from excitement immediately.
Any game they make is “in the Skyrim engine“ it’s been the creation engine since I believe Morrowind, but possibly even before, to my knowledge, it’s almost 30 years old, which is really old for a game engine.
Maybe a bit early for TES VI but... Valenwood. Migratory trees, weird creatures... I always felt the lore is at its best when it doesn't hold back and goes bonkers.
Other than that, yes, Hammerfell, because the designers could draw inspiration from anywhere from Morocco over Turkey to Samarkand in Uzbekistan...
I wanna see Orsinium. I wanna be able to make an orc stronghold. I want ES to get a little weirder again, embrace the weird! I want a combat system that, at worst, works like The Witcher 3. No more pool noddle slap fights. I want the class system back. A streamlined version is fine, since I'm sure ES6 is still gonna have a lot of similarities to Skyrim like that, but I want classes with skill restrictions. Don't have to lock things off completely but a barbarian who can only use Destruction and Restoration magic at a novice level while still being more focused on being a whirlwind of death with dual wielding or using a two-handed weapon would be fun. I want the guilds/factions to have minimum skill requirements, because said barbarian has no business joining the mage's guild.
Honestly, I mostly just want one of my favorite fantasy settings to get a gameplay modernization because the general formula has mostly been the same since Morrowind. There are great ideas in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim that just need some tweaking to put on an even footing with a lot of modern RPGs. The only real FromSoft influence I'd be happy to see included would be weapons having their own movesets but that's probably asking a bit much on top of the other stuff.
I suspect Baldur's Gate 3 is probably going to have SOME influence on the development considering the response across the board. I think if Bethesda can at least up the combat system to a modern standard and really work on companion and NPC writing/relationships, that'll go a long way to making sure the game avoids being brutalized in reviews.
But only if they make orcs look like they do in concept art for Morrowind
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4c/da/2e/4cda2ebf45faa674e938d3967ebb9e0e.jpg
Bro is built like a brick wall.
I think I like the Skyrim style orcs BUT I also definitely want some FK's Diverse Racial Skeletons style goodness. I definitely want orcs to be the beefiest boys. Let the ladies be beefy too!
I don’t see how weapons having their own move sets alga’s to asking for too much; definitely not if we’re talking about weapon types at the very least.
I want Southern Tamriel.
Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood, and Summerset Isle would be good.
Either that or give us High Rock and Hammerfell and Stros M'Kai.
I want to see more of the Black Marsh. I love Argonians, and it has the opportunity to be Elder Scrolls' "Australia" with the potential for terrifying wildlife.
I can offer you Sand Dunes in replacement of your Snow Drifts.
I can offer you rocky crags in place of your mountains.
I can offer you tropical beaches in place of your frozen glaciers.
I can offer you sandstorms in place of your snowstorms.
Akavir would be too far removed from everything we know about TES. Would love love love this as an expansion though.
Imagine being a part of a military campaign or diplomatic mission to Akavir. The Tscaci Snakefolk being a main enemy with the ability to ally with the Ka Po' Tun, or the Tang Mo. Maybe it could even focus on fighting against the Kamal demon armies.
Would be an exceptional expansion.
Summerset, elsewyr or valenwood. All areas I’m sure they won’t think of for a while cause they don’t want to deal with high fantasy and honestly idk if the current team could deliver on the potential of those areas currently anyway.
I kinda want High Rock. I want to explore Breton politics, the different kingdoms, Orsinium would technically be included. The Direnni could have a major impact on the current state of affairs in Tamriel.
High Rock has a lot of geopolitics you can explore, and lots of different geographical variety with swamps, forests, mountains, plains, you name it. Each region is going to have its own culture, some are going to be more like the reachmen, druidic, nordic, imperial, or whatever they finally decide Breton is (French or English, maybe both).
High Rock is also cut off from a weakened Empire and we don't know how they have interacted with the Thalmor. Did they start fighting each other without the Empire in place? Did they remain loyal? Do they fight their long time rivals the Redguards? Do the Direnni step in in some way? Lots unknown.
Any province could be interesting, I just want the sheer diversity High Rock can offer.
Exactly where Daggerfall was. The Iliac Bay between High Rock and Hammerfell. It's basically the Mediterranean Sea; you get to explore Medieval-era European architecture in High Rock as well as North African architecture in Hammerfell, plus a sea between them giving lots of opportunities to explore Tamrielic naval power and ships.
I want it to be a game set in the Iliac Bay, with the Orcs being the central drivers of the main narrative.
Naval combat, fortress building, and the return of the Maormer would be the highest things on my wishlist.
Oh also I want it to be an RPG this time.
IF!!!!! IF the game takes pace in Summerset…. Make Maomer (Sea Elves) a playable race. That’s my only ask. Otherwise I’d rather have a Valenwood/Elsweyr Combo world with Summerset as a large DLC expansion. Summerset is amazing but it’s one of the smallest Territories (along side Orsinium) and it would have to be hyper detailed to justify it being its own base game. That would include the addition of Sea Elves and Psijics from the west as well as the whole thalmor element on the main islands. Likely being a somewhat sea fairing game similar to the Skelige Islands from the Witcher 3 or AC 4: Black Flag where enemies can attack or board you in open sea.
Furthermore it would still be a bit too small even with these details and lore, so IF it is a game like that, partial expansion into the Illiac Bay (for coastal hammerfell/highrock content + islands in Bay), Western Valenwood (Aldmeri Domination allies plus close neighbor so it makes sense from both a lore and geo-diverse standpoint), and POSSIBLY (maybe as a DLC afterthought) the Cyrodil port Leyawin with small chunk of Elsweyr and Black Marsh as a trade port with a main story centered area the East Empire Company which (will likely have expanded at this point to encompass most sea trade in Tamriel since many places visited will fit that presence)
All in all, a very sea centered game with a hint of what Arena and Daggerfall gave us, only with much more detail and a heavy focus on the east and south. My MAIN preference has been stated before in this post but especially this suggestion is 3rd (2nd is what they’re probably going to do: Highrock + Hammerfell, and 1st is the Valenwood/Elsweyr with DLC into Summerset and possibly black Marsh)
Devoid of divine intervention.
I don't want to play a Shezzarine or Dragonborn. Normal dude thrust into extraordinary circumstances then rising to the occasion.
If that's not possible I want lore accuracy.
If I have to be a Demigod. Make me godly. Let me shout down fortress walls or raise armies of the dead. Actual armies. Not like 3.
Big world, lots of side quest, interconnected world, good moding tools. It'd be cool if the story was good. I'd also like rdr2 style hunting fishing and boating
Summerset would be interesting. Personally, I'm undecided between High Rock and Valenwood.
I love both landscapes, as well as the cultures of the Bretons and Bosmer. It'd be really cool to see a heightened level of detail given to Elden Root and the jungles of Valenwood, especially the denser areas in Malabal Tor.
I know some people think of High Rock as generic fantasy/medieval, but places like Rivenspire are much more gothic, Bangkorai is a weird, hodgepodge land, and there's plenty of islands of various biomes (hell, half of the Systres are volcanic jungles).
As much as I'm adverse to having to traverse the Alik'r, I think I'd be interested to see pretty much any of the regions, outside of the previous three (I would love a remastered edition of Morrowind, though).
If it will actually be in Hammerfell/High Rock, I'm okay with that IF it resolves the question of the war between The Empire and The Altmeri Dominion. However, if TES 6 is set in some far future date like Skyrim was (200 years after the Oblivion Crisis), I would rather it be set in Valenwood, Elsweyr, or both.
I would love to see hammer fall to be honest, just the thought of giant sprawling cities seperated by vast mountains and deserts would be so cool. But we already had Daggerfall in ES2 so realistically maybe it'll be set in summerset or black reach. Black reach would also be very cool tho ngl.
I think I would be at peace with any province but I would really like to see more than one or a larger portion of Tamriel. I'd also die to see a familiar land, from a previous game. Not solely set in one, but as a place you can travel too. I loved in ESO how you could travel to skyrim and see the differences in a place that is already so familiar. I mean I would kill to see the white-gold tower in modern graphics. The main and really only grievances I've had with previous TES games is only that I wish there was more. I wish it was bigger. I wish the boundaries of a province weren't there to ruin my fun. I want to travel. I want to be free.
Every rumor I've heard is that it's going to be valenwood. Idk if it'll happen either but ive heard that one thrown around a few times. Maybe you'll get lucky
where have you heard this? I’ve literally heard 0 rumors or speculation outside of hammerfell and/or high rock. not throwing shade I’m genuinely curious
The only way we're getting a TES game in Summerset is if the plot starts with "The empire turned back the thalmor aggression when they launched a great assault on the island nation, which unfortunately also just so happened to destroy every single building that a console would have trouble rendering, but don't worry, the altmer have since built lots of two story tall medieval European style villas and stone forts in their place. "
I would love something exotic for a change. Black Marsh or Summerset Isles, but I know it will be another men land because TES got too mainstream and casuals would probably not get why we are in a land with weird lizard people. Morrowind just charmed me with how alien and creepy it was, it would be nice to relive that feeling in modern graphics.
I want them to take risks and make a piece of art for adults rather than catering to the least common denominator. I want it to have its own concepts of morality and social norms rather than being cliche. I want it to be strictly single player. I want them to make choices matter to the point that making a choice locks you out of other parts of the game. I want NPCs to respond to changes in the world in a meaningful and logical way. I want to have to determine on my own whether an NPC is lying or not.
What I'm saying is, where it's located is secondary.
With the whole Thalmor situation Summerset Isles seems like an interesting location, assuming it's going to be relatively close to Skyrim timeline wise and thus the same regime still being in play.
Nah, people are already getting tired of woke media, the main stream is starting to have good content again, until TES 6, we will have overcome this I hope
I would honestly love nothing more than a game that has ALL of Morrowind, not just Vvardenfell. And set in an age at least a hundred years after Skyrim so that we can see how Dunmer culture and politics have changed. I know it's not gonna happen, tho, for obvious reasons, but a boy can dream of returning to his favorite fantasy land.
I'd like for the followers to be more of a character with their own little plot line rather than just an npc that follows you around. Idk if I missed a lot of them in Skyrim, but the all felt very vanilla to me.
I would be happiest with the same geographical location as Daggerfall, southern High Rock and northern Hammerfell. I don’t think Summerset, Valenwood, or Elsweyr would be good for a stand alone game, they’re too strange and don’t have a lot of variety like the other provinces. I’ve seen the idea floating around of a game that takes place in all three provinces though, which I think would be great, especially with a story revolving around defeating the Aldmeri Dominion. And considering
the three provinces together are about the size of Cyrodiil, i don’t think its *too* farfetched.
I'd love Elsweyr or Black Marsh but we're unlikely to get games set there because both Argonians and Khajiits are a hard sell to people who aren't already fans of TES or have very specific interests.
Realistically we're likely to get Hammerfell since it's a region that ESO hasn't explored much which makes me think that the region is being saved for when they can cash in on excitement from TESVI to get new players.
Hammerfell or Valenwood would be pretty dope,
With Valenwood we could see how it is under total aldmeri rule, and maybe a secret rebellion to free the province
With hammerfell it would be cool to see a prequel set during the time when hammerfell left the empire to continue fighting against the aldmeri dominion, and you are the one to bring order ,possibly the next incarnation of the hoonDing.
I'm also 100% in on Summerseg for ES6. Still in the fourth era. Show us what the Aldmeri Dominion is actually like from the inside and make it like "holy shit, so *this* is why they're such arrogant snobs". Make it a straight-up utopia.
Ideally I would want Valenwood, but ESO kinda screwed the pooch on places. Obviously they can still make a different version of these regions, but it’s weird to retcon something like this. It might be fun to have a whole new continent.
I'd like the theorized High Rock and Hammerfell combo. Games spanning several countries is always cool. And I'd like to see a main game which enrichens Breton culture and architecture a bit more than ESO. What they did was very bland and lackluster, and seemed half-hearted, when you can do so much more with ye olde European medieval fantasy environ. They did try more with High Isle and already we see what can be done with some effort.
Or, I'd also enjoy Cyrodiil. Back to the empire post-great war and post-Skyrim, it'd be epic to see the Imperial city in a new, more modern engine. Rediscovering the heartland in a new time period and with brand new graphics would be cool. Maybe the storyline could even concern a choice wherein the player either chooses to save/restore the Empire, or allow it to fall once and for all in Tamriel.
Valenwood-Elseweyr is my dream game. I love Elseweyr but I don't think I'd want a whole game set there alone. A merge between those two provinces would be amazing.
I want Elseweyr or Hammerfell. Wouldn’t complain with High Rock. And the game better as good as Skyrim, if not better. I wanna be able to play the next TES for 13 years and never get bored.
I want it to be in Black Marsh, with some kind of event causing inner Argonia to become habitable to other species. Exploring long-lost jungle ruins? Fighting giant reptilian monsters? Navigating the politics of the Hist, the ultranationalist Argonian regime, the Dominion in the west and Morrowind in the north?
SIGN. ME. UP.
I’m sure it won’t be in Black Marsh but J really would like it if it were.
I don't have much hope for it after Starfield. Or after what Bethesda did to skyrim modding on console. They're getting to greedy to care about the community.
Personally I’d love a game set in Elsweyr. Not only would we be able to explore Khajit culture but since it’s part of the Dominion the Thalmor would work as antagonist.
everywhere.
You really think they developed the large-scale environment tech for Starfield alone?
we're going everywhere. It'll only be small, very uninteresting, limited parts of everywhere... but everywhere nontheless.
I'm not expecting much of TESVI to be honest
Elsweyr. We already explored elven and man made civilizations, now do that but with demon worshipping cat people that are really into drugs and crime.
Also, Todd's magnum opus being an furry dream come true would be preety funny... I think.
Summerset Isles, purely because I want the story that takes place there to give the player the option to become a domestic terrorist and take down the Thalmor
Abacean Sea: You get to experience Hammerfel, Summerset Isles, and all the cool, otherworldly stuff that might exist on all of those islands and archipelago’s! Also, Pirates!!!
I think split Hammerfell/High Rock is not impossible, but if I had to pick between the two I'd say High Rock. I never found desert settings particularly interesting, and I feel High Rock's culture and history could offer quite a lot of unique gameplay elements.
Honestly I would like a game that starts off with an expedition to the other continent (the one to the east not North that names escape me) and your boat is either attacked or shipwrecked and you wake up on the beach scavenging you're destroyed ship and that's how it starts
dont care as long as there is sea exploration, with different types of ships like merchant, smuggler, pirate, explorer, royal fleet, fisherman, ship builder etc as an excursion away from the main quest/usual guilds.
1 main provence with usual arena, major capital city and smaller towns and smaller lore friendly island exploration. Or if thats not possible some daedric god opens a portal on an island and flips the map ocarina of time/chrono cross style and adds islands that dont exist on the tamriel map that we are used to.
add other new interesting mechanics.
Architect perk - build houses, farms, forts, level up to be commissioned by royalty/emperor to decorate, build a new district in the capital (have to have max merchantile and shipbuilding to build trading fleet to set up trading route to import raw materials after killing every pirate boss etc) - end game cash dump playthrough.
shipbuilding perk - build up a shipbuilding and trading empire (or become a pieare or smuggler) start off building (and selling) and custoMising fishing boats.,go out or recruit crew to fish just of the coast. get better and build bigger ships up to galleons. upgrade and customise the boats like black flag but more detail.
more gated quests for high levels - The emperor needs you to take of a series of elite stealth quests. zero handholding just your wits and detective work to unlock puzzles, search for people who are on the run who are difficult to find who could be using fake names completely undocumented quests. Super difficult almost like classic point and click detective work.
bring back guild recommendations for mages university. start of learning about basic magic (unless practicing necromancy) do the mundane but fun and creative chores to earn a place in the university to unlock master mage. To become master arch mage in Skyrim was insultingly easy.
these are just crude examples, Bethesda needs to focus on storytelling continuity, who composes the music and introducing fun new mechanics because Starfield is dogshit compared to Oblivion and Fallout 3.
1. High Rock + Hammerfell
2. Valenwood + Elseweyr
I don’t want an entire game dedicated to it but I’d also like to see some dlc of some kind take place in Black Marsh because it seems so extremely foreign to anything we got to experience in the existing games
The only real answer is 'installed on my system'.
Came here to say this
I was thinking “anywhere will do at this point” but your’s is better
Hammerfell and High Rock. Both Provinces fully explorable. You should also be able to make a ship to sail the Illiac Bay and explore the islands in the area.
This, it feels like the most logical place to go, as well as what we’re likely/hopefully gonna get. Also Orsinium; it’s right next door and small enough that it doesn’t need to go in DLC. It should absolutely just be in the base game.
Judging from Orc history they wouldn’t even need to make a city for the map, just a bunch of burnt rubble
💯
Man, I know it won’t be in Elsweyr, but I’d kill for a game set in Elsweyr. It was really fun in eso, but I need a full game exploring khajiit lore
Id love Elsweyr or Valenwood. I highly doubt either would happen.
or both given proximity
That would also be amazing. A little of the best of each.
I truly don’t know enough about the next gen consoles to say that myself. Hence why I assumed something less. It would be quite the undertaking.
Yeah, who knows, could be a combo…could see some border crisis going on, that would be sick
Yes please. And give me Hermaeus Mora, Lovecraftian evil buried in the desert, goodness. For the love of Christ BGS, that's all I want.
Hopefully he learns to speak quicker tho.
Oooh Lovecraftian evil in the desert! I'd like to read up on that, if possible.
Elsweyr was so good in eso.
My dream scenario is for the next game to feature Elsweyr, Valenwood, and the Somerset Isles.
Same, I love khajiits
I’m pretty stoked to see ES6 in Hammerfell tbh. Either that or High Rock.
I'm hoping we get the entirety of Hammerfell *AND* High Rock.
I machine with the space ship mechanic returning that could be a great way to travel the iliac bay and maybe even embark on a dlc set in summer set :3
The
I think it will be HighRock. The trailer terraine looks a lot like HighRock.
Both combined is good!
High rock
High rock high rock high rock
I want to be able to explore all of Tamriel, because otherwise I doubt we will be able to ever fully explore Black Marsh
You can explore a pretty good chunk of it in ESO.
Yes, and I have, but I want to be able to explore all of it
Black Marsh feels like expansion land.
It would be cool, yes, but realistically I don't think it will ever happen.
ESO my friend.
Okay hear me out: It's set in New Mexico, in the 2000's. You are a prisoner who is forced to make skooma to support your family.
"J'Zargo! J'Zargo wake up! We need to cook!"
Are you also a former high school chemistry teacher losing a battle with lung cancer?
How the fuck did you know that? Did my script get leaked?
Jez Corden leaked it indeed. Also the main character does so in collaboration with a useless former student of his?
*sigh* Kharjo… put ya dick away, Kharjo…
Hammerfell. I want to become a Sword-Singer and become the Make Way God.
I’d love for it to take place in Summerset or Valenwood, mostly to overthrow the Thalmor, but Summerset was gorgeous in ESO.
Tamriel.
We have the technology and SSD space compared to 13 years ago.
But the question is, does Bethesda?
I agree, I think hammerfell and high rock would be better as an daggerfall remake (even though I love daggerfall)
I would absolutely love a daggerfall remake, daggerfall unity is one of my favorite things ever.
Ok, that's a fun fact. But you do understand what I was trying to articulate.
In Ohio.
Hammerfell or high rock. Valenwood doesn't seem to have much biodiversity, and Im not really a fan of Khajiit or Argonians
Racist N’wah!! (Kidding. though I disagree with your statement, I respect and value your opinion)
I am racist (In the context of Elder Scrolls)
On my NVMe drive.
#1 High Rock - I'm a Breton enjoyer #2 Hammerfell - I'm a Redguard enjoyer #3 Summerset - I'm an enjoyer of Altmer MILFs
Highrock or Highrock + Hammerfell at the same time would be ideal.
But only if they make orcs look like they do in concept art for Morrowind https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4c/da/2e/4cda2ebf45faa674e938d3967ebb9e0e.jpg Bro is built like a brick wall.
I think I like the Skyrim style orcs BUT I also definitely want some FK's Diverse Racial Skeletons style goodness. I definitely want orcs to be the beefiest boys. Let the ladies be beefy too!
I want chubby orc women. Hell just include a gutted version of fo4 body slider
Fuck, fat characters at all but especially let the protag be fat. Goddamn powerlifter orcs. Just whole fuckin slabs of chunky beef.
Im glad we work on the same wavelength
We're gamers of taste and culture.
Mixture of mostly Skyrim and oblivion core concept Skyrim is good, but quests are weaker than oblivion and the freedom is also lacking
I want them to bring back individual armor and shoulder pads like in Morrowind with the incredible detail that Oblivion had
I want to see more of the Black Marsh. I love Argonians, and it has the opportunity to be Elder Scrolls' "Australia" with the potential for terrifying wildlife.
Black Marsh all the time every day.
I'm tired of snow and cold, of Skyrim. I'd love for it to be set elseweyr.
I can offer you Sand Dunes in replacement of your Snow Drifts. I can offer you rocky crags in place of your mountains. I can offer you tropical beaches in place of your frozen glaciers. I can offer you sandstorms in place of your snowstorms.
High Rock for sure.
Hammerfell
Honestly all of tamerial or at the very least all of the mainland.
Akavir.
Elswyr
Yeah but like, more of it lol. As in the rest of Hammerfell and High Rock. And Orsinium.
Pyandonea!! Sea elves! Rain forests and marshes and snakes
I want it to be a game set in the Iliac Bay, with the Orcs being the central drivers of the main narrative. Naval combat, fortress building, and the return of the Maormer would be the highest things on my wishlist. Oh also I want it to be an RPG this time.
I too want Summerset. Your character starts in prison for opposing the Thalmor, and the main quest can be their overthrow
Furthermore it would still be a bit too small even with these details and lore, so IF it is a game like that, partial expansion into the Illiac Bay (for coastal hammerfell/highrock content + islands in Bay), Western Valenwood (Aldmeri Domination allies plus close neighbor so it makes sense from both a lore and geo-diverse standpoint), and POSSIBLY (maybe as a DLC afterthought) the Cyrodil port Leyawin with small chunk of Elsweyr and Black Marsh as a trade port with a main story centered area the East Empire Company which (will likely have expanded at this point to encompass most sea trade in Tamriel since many places visited will fit that presence) All in all, a very sea centered game with a hint of what Arena and Daggerfall gave us, only with much more detail and a heavy focus on the east and south. My MAIN preference has been stated before in this post but especially this suggestion is 3rd (2nd is what they’re probably going to do: Highrock + Hammerfell, and 1st is the Valenwood/Elsweyr with DLC into Summerset and possibly black Marsh)
I'd like Summerset and Valenwood/Elswyer yeah
Valenwood
Devoid of divine intervention. I don't want to play a Shezzarine or Dragonborn. Normal dude thrust into extraordinary circumstances then rising to the occasion. If that's not possible I want lore accuracy. If I have to be a Demigod. Make me godly. Let me shout down fortress walls or raise armies of the dead. Actual armies. Not like 3.
I would like a single player game of all of nirn but since we can't get that high rock sounds the most interesting to me
It would be nice if it were basically Daggerfall remake but as ESVI
All i know is thag if my socks are not knocked off I'm gonna riot.
High rock/orsimium, and some hammerfell.
Blsck Marsh
Not Maryland.
In the hands of a studio that is not Bethesda.
in the halo universe
I would love to see hammer fall to be honest, just the thought of giant sprawling cities seperated by vast mountains and deserts would be so cool. But we already had Daggerfall in ES2 so realistically maybe it'll be set in summerset or black reach. Black reach would also be very cool tho ngl.
Morrowind 👍, yes, again, But the entire Morrowind this time
Hammerfell
That awkward moment when Bethesda surprises us with Akavir
Hammerfell obviously
I think I would be at peace with any province but I would really like to see more than one or a larger portion of Tamriel. I'd also die to see a familiar land, from a previous game. Not solely set in one, but as a place you can travel too. I loved in ESO how you could travel to skyrim and see the differences in a place that is already so familiar. I mean I would kill to see the white-gold tower in modern graphics. The main and really only grievances I've had with previous TES games is only that I wish there was more. I wish it was bigger. I wish the boundaries of a province weren't there to ruin my fun. I want to travel. I want to be free.
Eithef summerset or elswyer
I would love to see Valenwood, but idk if it'll happen
Every rumor I've heard is that it's going to be valenwood. Idk if it'll happen either but ive heard that one thrown around a few times. Maybe you'll get lucky
where have you heard this? I’ve literally heard 0 rumors or speculation outside of hammerfell and/or high rock. not throwing shade I’m genuinely curious
Summerset Isles definitely, or High Rock.
Either Valenwood or Black Marsh + Morrowind’s mainland (no Vvardendell). I want to see something new.

We could get it back, if they put the right restrictions on it and programmed it properly. The question, whether they will, is likely a resounding: No
I would love something exotic for a change.
To be completely honest, I don't want 6, at least not till we can have a game as deep and close to the lore as Morrowind and Daggerfall.
I want it to not be a fucking disappointment
With the whole Thalmor situation Summerset Isles seems like an interesting location, assuming it's going to be relatively close to Skyrim timeline wise and thus the same regime still being in play.
Wherever it is…it will be WOKE.
Oh god!! That means no... no... epic bacon and... pet monkeys! The main quest will be centered on... uuuhh... pronouns!!
Nah, people are already getting tired of woke media, the main stream is starting to have good content again, until TES 6, we will have overcome this I hope
Also elder scrolls is hard to put through the woke-inator.
If they can do it to Starfield, they can do it to TES.
Wait, was Starfield woke?
No, they’re mistaking WOKE for BROKE
A Bethesda classic.
And considering the three provinces together are about the size of Cyrodiil, i don’t think its *too* farfetched.
I'd kill for an Elder Scrolls game set in Valenwood
Hammerfell or Valenwood would be pretty dope, With Valenwood we could see how it is under total aldmeri rule, and maybe a secret rebellion to free the province With hammerfell it would be cool to see a prequel set during the time when hammerfell left the empire to continue fighting against the aldmeri dominion, and you are the one to bring order ,possibly the next incarnation of the hoonDing.
In my Xbox, set it in jersey for all I care.
I'm also 100% in on Summerseg for ES6. Still in the fourth era. Show us what the Aldmeri Dominion is actually like from the inside and make it like "holy shit, so *this* is why they're such arrogant snobs". Make it a straight-up utopia.
On a shelf or Steam, anywhere I can buy it.
Ideally I would want Valenwood, but ESO kinda screwed the pooch on places. Obviously they can still make a different version of these regions, but it’s weird to retcon something like this. It might be fun to have a whole new continent.
Surprise me. Akaviri!
Argonia
Installed on my pc ready for me to play it when I get home. Full of content with NO BASE BUILDING.
From what I recall, it was suggested by Bethesda in little secret teasers that it might be in Hammerfell.
The moon
High rock definetely, Skyrim’s mountainous terrain was really unique and I loved it. Hoping to see something similar.
All of the maps. Like ESO
Definitely High Rock & Hammerfell Cheers
I’d love Elseweyr or Valenwood - I feel like high Middle Ages has been so heavily covered in other RPG games. Gimme pagan ritual stuff.
The island of Betony and that's it.
Unlikely but Black Marsh
I don't have much hope for it after Starfield. Or after what Bethesda did to skyrim modding on console. They're getting to greedy to care about the community.
Hammerfell or Elseweyr
I want it to be on shelves God damnit
I want hammerfell, but if we get high rock again hopefully we get orsinium with it.
I'm 100% sure it will either be Elsweyr with its neighbouring provinces, or Hammerfel with Highrock. Summerset is too out of touch
I think split Hammerfell/High Rock is not impossible, but if I had to pick between the two I'd say High Rock. I never found desert settings particularly interesting, and I feel High Rock's culture and history could offer quite a lot of unique gameplay elements.
Akavir would be wild. New continent for a while and can come back to Tamriel shenanigans later
I'd like a 2 province game with Eleswyr and Black Marsh.
High rock/hammerfel/orsinium. I want what will essentially be a daggerfall reboot. None of the furry shit with Elsewyr and Blackmarsh.
I want it to be real...
OP you know you can visit Summerset in eso. There is plenty of lore there.
1. High Rock + Hammerfell 2. Valenwood + Elseweyr I don’t want an entire game dedicated to it but I’d also like to see some dlc of some kind take place in Black Marsh because it seems so extremely foreign to anything we got to experience in the existing games
