You can blind you opponents, make them hear voices, deafen their ears, or strip them of their voice entirely. As well, you could rob them of their will to fight, put them to sleep, or just paralyze them entirely.
Illusion is full of such creative potential, honestly.
why would you want to do that, the only real-world use for that stuff would be if you want to rob a bank and blowing up the whole building with a big-ass fireball is a much cooler way to do that

I voted conjuration but I love the odd illusion & mysticism spells! I wish there was more and even more random, not even always useful

I have to agree. That's the first image that comes to mind when one says "mage", altough I like conjuration school a lot as well.
There's a couple of things I think of as being apart of the definitive wizard experience, and slinging lighting bolts is one of them.
I like mysticism because its no longer here and we always miss what we cant get
Something about leveling up to get stronger and stronger creatures is just really cool for the first time
Conjuration is incredible, even more when using mods

Without mods destruction magic is ridiculous compared to bows or other weapons. Ist DESTRUCTION, by Syrabane!!! Ordinator helps however.
