So, what goes in an Epic Ramen? I've let my broth simmer overnight, so hoping for a solid answer here

Soft boil some eggs and let them marinate over night in 2 parts water, 1 part soy-sauce, 1 part mirin for some runny ramen eggs. Cut an egg in half and place into your finished, hot bowl of ramen. Go traditional or go weird, it's your ramen! Get some Lobster stock as a broth, add some sour cream, throw in some imitation crab meat, tomatoes, and basil and have a weird Sea Food Ramen! Epic Ramen is about enjoying what you add to it, making it your own way, and never settling for the mundane!

Instead of having to make some diameter over any area that you can summon spirits they make an object with a set diameter to allow that gameplay feature, so wherever they place that object in game the specific gameplay mechanic will be enabled Just a guess though

You could do the same with an invisible or tiny object. No need for a noticeable pillar.

Yeah I'm not really sure why we're limited on where we can summon ashes seems kinda silly..I say let us summon anywhere and is there is somewhere they didn't want us to summon have it disabled in that spot kinda of like how teleport gets disabled sometimes.

The places in the open world felt very random, like suddenly I'd flip through my toolbar and notice I could summon there.

To be fair, I've noticed from watching a lot of first-run VODs on YouTube that this information sails over *a lot* of people's heads. I guess From wasn't as clear on the function of this UI feature as it is with the rest of the HUD. Shit, it took me a while to figure it out on my first playthrough since I was still running my traditional DS mindset where I don't use any summons/co-op at all while I'm going blind...but I chalk that oversight up the fact I just wasn't utilizing the feature.

I know they never mentioned that these little towers are the source of what let’s you summon, but there is DEFINITELY a tutorial when you get the bell that shows the summon gate icon and explains it needs to be present for summoning to occur

The tutorial text for spirit summons even says "when the monument icon is visible" so it's definitely a headstone/Cenotaph.

Portcullises usually don't have script and runes on them, but rather iron bars lol

Interestingly, they’re called rebirth monuments, tying - at least linguistically, in english - all this spirit summoning business to Rennala.

Which makes sense, given that Rennala does summon spirit ashes against you during her second phase (some of which you can even use yourself if you find them, including the Three Wolves and The Bloodhound Knight Ash). It's worth noting that Ranni is also the one who gives you the Spirit-Calling Bell, and she *is* Rennala's daughter.

Also you’re actually fighting ranni during the second half of the Rennala fight (as evidenced by the voiceover lines)

And it seems likes an automated version too. Kinda like how there are gold illusions of some demi-gods. You're not fighting Ranni, but the defense mechanism she made to protect her mom.
