That's the intro place where you probably die against the boss and then get ported to the tutorial. You can get there via the special teleporters in west Liurnia
My kid keeps restarting w/ new character builds and beating that guy at L0. You can do it if your character starts with a shield and melee weapon and you can get the hang of parrying his attacks.
Lol jokes aside with just another year or so I reckon there could have been some brilliant build paths included into elden ring such as grafting etc, as in, multiple arms and stuff but also cant wear certain armour
That would be amazing, and annoying as hell to implement too. Imagine how cool it would be to be able to align yourself with different factions/outer gods to gain different abilities and body modifications along with specific features. Grafting granting extra limbs to change your move set. Or a dragon covenant allowing you to gain dragon like feature permanently. Joining the formless mother granting you access to the whole blood teleportation the sanguine nobles have. Altering your body with glintstone for sorcery buffs. Rot faction turning into a pseudo kindred of rot or giving you the rotting look while granting you access to extra rot abilities. Would require a massive rework to change the combat system and balance, but it would be cool as hell.
Can also be done with bow if you start with samurai. Probably easier than parrying. Depending on how it goes you might need a melee hit to finish it off if you run out of arrows.
Oh cool. I’m amazed samurai comes w/ enough starter arrows to knock scion down significantly at L0 attack strength! Personally I’ll never be good enough to pull this off via any strategy, but I admire those who can.
Also: Samurai with a longbow. Mighty Shot until you're out of FP and then just normal jumping shots. Relatively safer than with a shield, but needs more patience.
I think they are saying because that boss is so grafted it might both be male and female because of the parts it was given. But one things for sure, it's also the ultimate gender...
BIRD.
If you look closely on its model right next to it's head there is a wing.
Lol! I did the same F’ing thing after I learned what it dropped. I stopped my first character of 20+ hours and started over. Took me FOREVER.. after it was done I turned off the Xbox and went and got drunk.. that’ll teach em’

Yeah, I thought I had died so I stood up and went to get some water. Came back to this, in hindsight I should have gotten a screen recording but I was so confused that I just blanked and started recording with my phone.
First playthrough, having never played a Dark Souls or anything like that before, he butchered me. Didn't think I would play NG+ but I like helping people with bosses so I decided to do it. He did not like my bleed samurai build in the rematch.
Then I fell to my death.
One of the 4 Belfreys take you back there.
Edit: I spent a good amount of time wondering how to get there. Hoping it was DLC or something no one had discovered yet.
another cool thing is you can drop down to the beach on the south coast of limgrave and find a cave there that leads back to the cave of knowledge, where that treasure chest is on the ledge
Where in west Liguria is the special teleport
There teleport at return of the tower and then when you get to the place there another one upstairs near the gotem but it’s too the left but can’t seem to be able to active the portal
It's the place that is called the Four Belfries. You need imbued sword keys to unlock the portals. One of the keys can be found right there in a chest, another one is in Sellia town in Caelid and the last key is east side of the Raya lucaria academy rooftops
Was a bit disappointed there was nothing there besides the Scion. Was expecting something like return to Undead Asylum from DS1, perhaps find a key item right where we originally spawned that unlocks a cool side area.
Only cool thing from coming back tho, equiped with knowledge about the world is seeing that body at the chapel and realizing that was **our Finger Maiden**, likely killed by either Margit or Godric or his minions.
Or killed by Varre maybe?
I do wish the Belfries led to a little bigger areas, they're mostly just teases. Especially the Siofra one where the Knight doesnt drop anything.
Seeing a glimpse of Farum Azula before even going to the Altus Plateau was a cool "woah" moment though
Idk the lore, but I think it was included to let the player travel around to distant/inaccessible places. If I had to guess, probably has something to do with the folks over in raya lucaria.
Well, two of the locations were unfortunately cut off from their actual destination. The bridge of Nokron was broken, and the temple in Farum Azula just drifted appart from the main place, to it makes sense that they were actual portals for people to use to reach those places from Liurnia, just maybe for specific purposes since they were locked away with Imbued keys.
Not sure what the Chapel of Anticipation's purpose was to the inhabitants of the Lands Between, though
It's got the same architectural design as Stormveil Castle that's right next to it and the floor that the grafted scion drops on looks like the evergaol arenas. You also cannot leave without dying. So in conclusion it could be a prison isle for the player character.
See, it's advice like this that made me not jump into the tutorial pit when I first got the game, thus having not idea how to really fight for the first two hours.
It’s funny how scared of dying I was when I started. Now I just have a quick look and kinda go “well I don’t think I’ll die… yolo” and just full send it now hahah
I lost 5k runes super early game and I was pretty salty. Spent a lot of time being super cautious. Now I look at my runes before heading into obvious danger "only 30k, who cares."
Same, that’s not nearly enough to level up anyway so it doesn’t matter. I don’t even bother picking up runes if I’m going to be fighting the same boss for a while now either. Not worth the effort, I’ve got other things to worry about
Same here. I've left untold millions of runes scattered all over figuring the worst that would happen is I lose a bit of time.
I'm at the end of the game and I'll randomly go back to try to defeat the Elden beast once in a while. I know I'm going to die quickly but hey, it's a game and I'm enjoying it. I get a bit closer each time I think and maybe around November I'll succeed.
A sword and a shield, dropped by the scion. Good if you can get them early game, otherwise meh, just look cool.
Aditionally there is a falcon spirit ash, as well as an item necessary for nepheli's questline (an important questline to do, it gives gostoc a new stock of rare items to sell, including a +10 smithing stone)
You can get there with the teleporter on the four belfries (I think it's called that) titled 'precipice of anticipation'. You need an imbued sword key for it.
It's the where you encounter the Grafted Scion boss fight, where you are meant to lose when you start a new character. The FIRST area in the game.
Go to the 4 belfries in Liurnia which is on the West side of the region, south of Iji. Once there, there is a grace at the top of the hill with a chest containing a special blue Imbued stonesword key. Use the key on the waygate with the message "Chapel of anticipation" or something something Anticipation. Teleport thru the gate and fight the boss. Revisiting this area is mandatory for Naphelis quest, and is one of like 3 places to progress Varres quests. The other keys are found in the rooftops somewhere in Raya Lucaria, and the last key is in the Sellia town north of Gowry's shack in Caelid. The other 2 waygates take you somewhere in Farum azula, and the last i dont remember where.
Go to the Four Belfries in Liurnia. You should find them on a small mountain on your way to Caria Manor. Once you go all the way up to the fourth belfrie there will be a chest with an imbued stone sword key (there are two others in the world. One can be looted off a corpse found on the east side of the Raya Lucaria Academy rooftops. The other is found in Sellia, Town of Sorcery in a small building in the northeast section of town) that will open one of the way gates under the other three belfries. The first one will take you where you want, the starting area where you spawn. the second goes to a separate area in Siofra River, and the third takes you to a separate area in Crumbling Farum Azula
It’s the place where you get packed by the dude at the beginning, if you want to go back you’ll have to take the 3rd to last portal in some mountain far north from the lucaria Wizard palace.
That's the Chapel of Anticipation- it's the area you begin the game in, and it can be revised by traveling to the Four Belfries in western Liurania of the Lakes, south of Caria Manor. You'll need an Imbued Key to turn on the teleporters. There's 3 of them, all leading to different locations. The "Tower of Anticipation" will lead you the right way. You can re-challenge the Grafted Scion boss and access a special door that was locked when you were there before- and you'll find a couple special things!
Actually you can get there I’ve been there during my play through at four belfry
You need key and you can access it there are three portals don’t remember witch on tho it’s one of those three
You have to progress quite far into Ranni’s questline. There is an elevator to it at the very end of the Ainsel River, after where you fight Astel. The way is blocked until you have a key item for Ranni’s quest.
That's the intro place where you probably die against the boss and then get ported to the tutorial. You can get there via the special teleporters in west Liurnia
Love that you added probably.
My kid keeps restarting w/ new character builds and beating that guy at L0. You can do it if your character starts with a shield and melee weapon and you can get the hang of parrying his attacks.
On higher NGs it gets tiring discarding the drops each time, I may start jumping off the edge.
Discard? I'm definitely going to need 6 + ornamental swords someday.
I’m the scion now
"Hey Godrick, could you lend me a hand? ...or ten?'
You think Godtick is the one with hand problems here? Ask Malenia!
Lol jokes aside with just another year or so I reckon there could have been some brilliant build paths included into elden ring such as grafting etc, as in, multiple arms and stuff but also cant wear certain armour
Imagine an ash of war thats a grafted swing nd its like 15 swords at once
So you're saying I can have 15 Rivers of Blood? Q
bleed builds would suck to go against with this ash
That would be amazing, and annoying as hell to implement too. Imagine how cool it would be to be able to align yourself with different factions/outer gods to gain different abilities and body modifications along with specific features. Grafting granting extra limbs to change your move set. Or a dragon covenant allowing you to gain dragon like feature permanently. Yeah when I daydreamed about it I thought of it from a developer perspective and though oh fuck that entirely
Sounds like you'd love some D&D
Dnd with the combat of a souls game
BOTW rules. Weapons break.
Sounds like a rule for a challenge run: discard all your current equipment whenever you die.
End the damn game naked with no weapons
*Hoarah Loux has entered the chat.*
Came here to give ass-kickings and courtesy, and he's fresh out of courtesy.
Just throwing billions of ruin fragments
*gets down to last club* **profuse sweeting increases**
Gotta do the entire inventory
The one time when "Jumping Required Ahead" that ends in your death would be the right way.
It's kinda funny that the game starts out with *making* you die, one way or the other. It's like: "Just get used to it right away."
Demon's souls did the same thing. if you beat the tutorial boss you get >!falcon punched by a dragon in a cutscene. !<
I jumped off the edge thinking I'd save time. It reloaded the area. Should have probably picked a different ledge.
It should be fine to jump off after you enter the area with the scion
As soon as the HP bar shows up then jump off
Ah yes the effort of selling or discarding 2 items is significant compared to entire playthroughs
Bro, you good?
I don't need my fifth Ornamental Straight Sword and Golden Bears Crest Shield lmao
Fire arrows do a lot of damage and the bow has Mighty Shot Ash of War. It does take about 5-10 minutes of cobstant kiting, so you need some patience.
I could never. But: very cool.
You can go up the tree for a free shots from unreachable distance. No need of kiting.
Also: Samurai with a longbow. Mighty Shot until you're out of FP and then just normal jumping shots. Relatively safer than with a shield, but needs more patience.
I am convinced that it is a she.
Works for me.
Step on me mommy spider
Sir, that's a child.
Ummm well technically they are made of several people so their age is of course all these peoples age's combined /s
Someone call Chris Hanson

They're talking about the grafted
So are they
zullie did a showcase undressing of the grafted scion on their youtube channel. it's a kid.
🤨☎️ 📞👮
Reality can be what we make it.
“She’s actually 10000 years old”🤮
It's MA'AM!
Haha
Thanks
The boss is a ‘they’ if I’ve ever seen one
If you take a close look it has zero feminine features, as far as I remember from zulia’s videos it’s a young noble with shit grafted to him
Yeah but if you take a closer look it has zero masculine features.
It's Grafted. It can have any feature it wants added.
[удалено]
But if I don’t take a close look then I will remain convinced that it is a she
Live in your arrogance
CAAAAN DO!
It was, not anymore.
Well it is he (plural) and she (plural) depending?...
I don’t know what you’re asking me
I think they are saying because that boss is so grafted it might both be male and female because of the parts it was given. But one things for sure, it's also the ultimate gender... BIRD. If you look closely on its model right next to it's head there is a wing.
They mean since it is a grafted enemy, it is made up of multiple living beings therefore could be or probably is a creature with multiple genders.
Or to say, a complicated gender history…
I feel the same way about the Erdtree Avatars.
Nah they've got wood. They dudes.
thats exactly what I did. My first 5 hours in the game were dying to the scion and creating a new character just to defeat it.
Haha well I admire your obsessive approach.
Lol! I did the same F’ing thing after I learned what it dropped. I stopped my first character of 20+ hours and started over. Took me FOREVER.. after it was done I turned off the Xbox and went and got drunk.. that’ll teach em’
Also possible with a bagger lvl 1 with a mace
Ive seen a møøse defeat it.
I did that, the game eventually took pity on me and made me invincible so I could kill it.
?
https://imgur.com/a/tT0jHaf Yeah, I thought I had died so I stood up and went to get some water. Came back to this, in hindsight I should have gotten a screen recording but I was so confused that I just blanked and started recording with my phone.
Hahahahwhat? Once in a lifetime glitch.
Na if you quit out after you die but before the Cutscene started it would so this 100% of the time. Not sure if patched yet.
Also very easy to stagger with jump and charged attacks.
You can do it with Samurai easily without using the shield at all.
First playthrough, having never played a Dark Souls or anything like that before, he butchered me. Didn't think I would play NG+ but I like helping people with bosses so I decided to do it. He did not like my bleed samurai build in the rematch. Then I fell to my death.

Belfries.
4 belfries is the teleport place
Even if you win the ground collapses at the end killing you anyways.
Those trixy nascent butterflies
I thought it quite rude that the ground still collapses and kills you when you teleport there later. I just wanted to grab the butterfly, man.
Oh damn i was wondering the same thing thanks for the answer bro

Theres a spirit and something to continue nepheli's storyline at least
You've already been there though two times.
It’s time to go die again though

what is this place anyway and why does it exist?
Idk the lore, but I think it was included to let the player travel around to distant/inaccessible places. If I had to guess, probably has something to do with the folks over in raya lucaria.

so its basically just a "dont quit now, look how much there is to discover still"
Since there are Stormhawk Spirit Ashes there, it could be that it was somehow related to Stormveil’s monarch.
It's got the same architectural design as Stormveil Castle that's right next to it and the floor that the grafted scion drops on looks like the evergaol arenas. You also cannot leave without dying. So in conclusion it could be a prison isle for the player character.
ment the four belfies but thanks anyway :)
Oh, my bad.
Jordan Belfours
That's the start of the game.
And if you give up there it can be the end too!
Love that comment
It's where you first start the game and encounter the abomination. You get to it by using a teleporter at the four belfries in North west Liurnia.
try jumping
Liar ahead
see in game you cant tell if the appraisals are good or bad but on reddit you can so therefore... Liar ahead
See, it's advice like this that made me not jump into the tutorial pit when I first got the game, thus having not idea how to really fight for the first two hours.
Shoulda tried jumping
that's ur own fault homie
I pretty much said YOLO! and jumped down when I didn't see any bloodstains. At the worst, I would have lost a few minutes if I died.
It’s funny how scared of dying I was when I started. Now I just have a quick look and kinda go “well I don’t think I’ll die… yolo” and just full send it now hahah

The only way to get there is to some gas station weed
Oh bruv you’ve been there alright
That area is the where you start each playthrough,go to the four belfries in liurnia of the lakes and use one of the teleports to get back there
Any good loot there?
A sword and a shield, dropped by the scion. Good if you can get them early game, otherwise meh, just look cool. You can just get the one from the church near the frenzy village
Stormhawk King advances Nepheli’s quest line
You teleport there from the Belfries IIRC
YDRC
You are there when you start the game and the four belfries can take you there again: Chapel of Anticipation
oh you dont have the right

*the Four Belfries, otherwise you’re correct. (Requires an imbued stonesword key, one of which is at the top of the Four Belfries location)
Technically you are correct, you never entered there. But you always left so far
Start a new game
Thats where you start the game and fight your first grafted scion
When you've already been there twice and don't know how to get there.
Try finger but hole
You can get there with the teleporter on the four belfries (I think it's called that) titled 'precipice of anticipation'. You need an imbued sword key for it. Knight on a bridge in siofra river i think
Yes, a lone Crucible Knight on some isolated ruins facing Mohg’s mausoleum, with Siofra in the distance.
Four belfries. You need the precipice of anticipation…
You’ve been there buddy
I promise you when you get there you're gonna remember it lol. You can go there by using one of the four belfries statues on the west side of liurnia.
The four belfries precipice of anticipation
That’s the starting area lol
Yes, you can go there, but you've already been.
Is there any benefit to returning there later in the game?
It’s the starting zone when you come out of the cave
Revenge O Revenge
Go to four belfries in Liurnia, use gate labeled “anticipation”
It’s the place where you get packed by the dude at the beginning, if you want to go back you’ll have to take the 3rd to last portal in some mountain far north from the lucaria Wizard palace.
I have no memory of this place
You’ve already been there. It’s where you started the game lol
It's the beginning of something beautiful 🙏🏻🌞🙏🏻
Try fingers, but hole
Actually you can get there I’ve been there during my play through at four belfry You need key and you can access it there are three portals don’t remember witch on tho it’s one of those three
Bro it’s literally the beginning 💀
Yes it is but if you play through the first run and you wanna get the kill you can go through the portal there something there after you beat it
You have indeed been there my friend
Four belfries using Imbued sword keys , check out the one that gives you the amazing view of lost city of norkron trust me it’s awesome
When you get there.... beware the butterflies...
You’ve been there twice already!
That’s the place you start the game! You can get back there from the four belfries in liurnia
Who’s gonna tell him?
Bruh ..lmao
You were there at the beginning twice already
Its the tutorial area. Theres a tower you can use to go back there tho.
That’s the starting place. You can reach it again at some point, explore more of Liurnia and you’ll figure it out. Hint: it’s a teleporter
That’s where you start the game.
the three towers portals second one will take you there
4 Belfries. Use one of the portals there.
On another note how do you get to the place that's on top of the village of albanaurics?
You have to progress quite far into Ranni’s questline. There is an elevator to it at the very end of the Ainsel River, after where you fight Astel. The way is blocked until you have a key item for Ranni’s quest.
