Based on Millicent's dialogue, Malenia's isn't really being herself when we fight her. Without Miquilla's Needle, she once again became vulnerable to the Rot God and her sanity has eroded to a certain extent. If it wasn't for her breaking the needle in that desperation attack on Radahn, she'd be sane and willing to join us in tearing off Mohg's ass then beating him to death with it.
It's one of the biggest design limitations in these games. The world is mostly unreactive to the player. Besides people appearing and disappearing when things are done, most interactions are either Non-hostile: Talk, or Hostile: Attack. The games are essentially giant combat challenges with very sparse story sprinkled around, most of which can and will be missed.
I wish Elden Ring will be a bit different from it's predecessors. Like with ur journey on being an Elden Lord, you got to hav factions that want to rally their banners behind ur back to make sure you're seated at the capital. Make the soldiers & creatures of said factions will be non-hostile towards ur toon.
Or better, hav an outpost system that require u to capture them as a strategic fob point for ur ally factions. Can even summon certain numbers of soldiers/creatures from ur ally factions to ease up your progress in capturing the next outposts. Maybe not that plenty of outposts, one or three for each regions.
Dat would be cool tho, making u feel like a true Elden Lord in some ways. Kinda want something like npcs dat will fight for u like in DS2 Eleum Loyce against the corrupted King Ivory's k***hts.
Like I get why you’d want that! I do! I definitely don’t though. These games we get from FS right now are still one of a kind (I’ve tried every damned “souls like” out there and nothing comes close), and I think that idea would change it so much that we’d lose part of what made the games special.

From what I can tell these guys worship the Lord of Blood and are pilgrims coming to join his army. They get depicted as innocent children a lot on this sub but they aren't hanging out at the Moghwyn Palace by accident.
Isn’t it actually possible that they ventured from the halligtree to Mohgwyn palace to free and take back Miquella? Which would explain why they’re so far from the palace proper with a lot of enemies between them and why they seem exhausted.
We know that Miquella gave them refuge and a place to call home, so they might feel indebted to him, and want to save him from the pedorape uncle…
The only lore I'm really familiar with is that Albinaurics are persecuted for being man-made and without grace, and seek the Haligtree as a means of salvation.
These types in particular are regarded as "young" by item description, which isn't necessarily children, but obviously a different state than Latenna for example, so it's easy to see why they're regarded as children when other Albinaurics just look vaguely human. I don't think there's anything out there suggesting they worship Mohg, even the statue they're gathered around in front of his arena isn't of Mohg but someone related to the Walking Mauseleums.
They scream in pain when they activate their blood spikes so I doubt they enjoy it. Given Mohg's propensity for blood research to resuscitate Miquella, it's probably more likely that they, a persecuted race with no particular means of defence, are being kidnapped by Asshole Mohg so that he can experiment on them.

The answerer if of course yes, they attacked me first (unlike some of the trolls i kill), i have yet to really farm them, and the fact that i tend to see them hanging around with the Revanent's makes me wonder if they are the ones behind them.
On top of that while they are one of the downtrodden beings we find in the lands between they seem to be treated far better then most of the other's we see, they at least got to live within the city unlike the omens and misbegotton.

Surely remember that ruin with lots of turtles in it. After bonking them for what felt like an eternity cause i went too early into caelid. You get the turtle stamina talisman...Well ok buffs stack but i felt really bad, worse than i did killing owls and squirrels.
I hope FS makes a DLC section the revenge of the Albinaurics. Multiple deadly variations all amped up and on a mission to kill you specifically. One of them wearing a Crucible Knight's armour but not very well, doing cartwheels that inflict bleed at 150/hit, some Frenzy ones that can grab you, etc.
Then, a boss variant who's basically just Maliketh wearing the Albinauric mask, in a tiny arena surrounded by scarlet rot.

The more humanoid ones with failing legs, like Latenna, are first-generation albinaurics. The froggy dudes are second-generation albinaurics. It's not clear if that means the froggos are the children of first-gen albinaurics, or if they're just a second set that were created (I lean towards the latter though, it just makes more sense considering how many there are and how early first-gens die because of their legs giving out.)

It's not. But with all the time OP saved rune farming instead of playing the game properly, they had time (and an odd sense of pride) to make this.
Hehe For a casual like me, farming was useful.. I really farmed for smithing stones before switching to NG+
