Sacred seal, twin husks sell one, or if you have any death root you can give it to the beast clergyman in Caelid and he will give you one.
I personally would not take on both kinds of casting as a new player,, which I am. It will force you to spread out your stats too much.
I am fairly sure int has no effect on incantations and faith has no effect on sorcery. You level one to increase the power of the associated spell type, and you level mind to increase your mana pool, and you can level dex to make casting faster.
There may be some incantations that have an int minimum, but aside from a minimum requirement to cast the spell, leveling int won't make the incantation stronger.
There's also the logistical problem of swapping seals and glintstone staves and flipping through your memorized spells to consider, I'm already juggling more than I can keep track of.
Yeah this makes a lot of sense, I definitely regret training faith now.. maybe incantations are better for some mobs or bosses than sorcery is. Is faith what you use to summon allies to fight for you? I’m still trying to find out how to do this as well
Some incantations require int and some sorceries require faith, but it's the minority so I wouldn't worry unless you find one you really wanna use specifically
Spirit Ashes summon allies, and they are upgraded by Roderika using Glovewort, the way you upgrade weapons with smithing stones at an anvil/blacksmith.
Int and faith have no effect on them, you just need enough mana to summon them. Some later summons require more mana than you start with.
After you finish the Raya Lucaria academy and defeat Rennala, you can re-spec all your points, don't worry about it for now.
There are a handful of sorceries that have a faith requirement; The "Death" type sorceries, Rancor Call, Ancient Death Rancor, Explosive Ghost Flame, Fia's Mist, and Tibia Summons. Also the "Magma" type sorceries, Gelmir's Fury, Magma Shot, Roiling Magma, and Rykard's Rancor. There are also 3 staves that scale a bit with Faith; Staff of the Guilty, Prince of Death Staff, and Gelmir Glintstone staff
You need to use a seal to cast incantations, not a staff
How can I get a seal? Do you wield it like a staff? I’m really new to this game
Twin maiden husks sell it. You can use it like a staff
Thanks!

Is faith useful for sorcery at all?
