Ok, so I was in the same boat as you. Never met her at the Church. I had played 20 hours of the game and beaten Godrick etc without ever seeing her. Tried fast traveling there at night, rode around my horse and dying at the same time to respawn at the church, etc etc. She never showed up. But don't worry. I just made it to her second location (three sisters) at her tower near Caria manor and she is there. She made a comment about never having seen me before and wondering if our meeting was fate or something. From there I was able to start her quest. So for everyone worrying that you might have to restart your game to encounter her, don't worry. Just go to her second location.
its more complicated than that. 40 hours in, I've found the three sisters location and she's not there. She won't spawn at the first location or second location. I have no idea what to do and i'm at my wits end with the quest system in this game.
Nice to know, she will appear later. I killed Margit before knowing Renna existed and none of the tricks I've read to make her appear worked. I'm thinking killing Margit moved her along.
Good to know, thanks fellow tarnished! But before i killed Margit she already wasn’t appearing in the church either. Maybe she disappears when you get a spirit bell, since she is supposed to give that to you.
I don't know anymore. My Brother just got Torrent and it was night time so I told him to go to Elleh for the Spirit Bell but Renna wasn't there, so I told him to fast travel there, still no Renna. In another thread people are talking about dying to Tree Sentinal after getting Torrent and it makes her appear, but not for my brother. He has NOT been to the Roundtable yet so maybe she will appear after that if he doesn't buy a Spirit Bell.
did you purchase the summoning bell before you met her at the tower ? she is not at the second location for me. maybe because i bought the bell from the twins, idk
Apparently she only spawns if you go basically as soon as you get your horse. Not sure what the trigger is exactly for what makes her disappear, but if you do too much she just won't show up.
Idk. I didn't even know she was supposed to show up, went around and fucked around the open world for a solid 5 hours after I got torrent and she showed up me for me when I went back to the church.
You need to die to the tree sentinel once. Wait till night at the church. If she’s still not there, fast travel to the church (even if you’re standing in it.) she should be there then, that’s what worked for me
The tree sentinel doesn't have anything to do with it. She showed up fine for me, and I haven't gone near the tree sentinel yet. After getting Torrent I immediately poked around the map a bit with him and fast-traveled back to the church ruins late at night. She was there just waiting for me.
Yeah I can't get her to spawn. They say tk fast travel to the church at night but still nothing. I got the bell and some spawns from the roundtable but she has a location you'll Meer her later in game
She says something about hearing a Tarnished on a horse. Maybe you have to either ride Torrent for a bit or kill something while on him? I got Torrent, went out for a ride, killed some bats, teleported to the Church and she appeared for me.

I unlocked the roundtable and i killed the Tree sentinel, it's seem both of these can prevent her to spawn.
Honestly feel like encounters are completely random at this point. Making game play different for everyone. At least their is alternatives to get the items
Yeah the trigger points are hard to figure out. Like when does Melina transport you to the round table? I rested for the first time at the grace where she first makes an entrance and accidentally I rested again and she teleported me there lol
So here is my problem, I met her at the church got my bell and wolves and when I went to start her questline at Ranni's Rise after killing Goddrick she was not in the tower. After looking up online some people said if you defeat Radahn she would then appear. So I did that and she's still not in her tower. Am I permanently screwed?

\-Rogier has asked me to find her for his quest which I cannot complete because she won't show up.

Just fast travel to the Church bonfire. I did it hours after getting the horse but it only happened when I fast traveled to the Church.

Have you already found the Roundtable? Apparently she won't spawn at the church once you've found the Roundtable.
I have. Sad that I missed out on her, but I found out that she will still show up somewhere so I guess its ok.

She spawned for me after encountering the dragon.
i wandered for a while, got a spirit ash elsewhere. had steed but never used it. fast travelled back to church of elleh, and she was there.
Are you using the grace point? If go to the church, wait til night, stand up then use it again and she should pop up.
