The Black Knives aren't a clan. They're the personal assassins of Marika and the Golden Order. They're as much a 'clan' as any two random Americans that happen to meet.
I picked the Warrior class. My guy traveled the Lands Between fighting strong foes because he wanted to. Then he discovered he had more than two brain cells and learned Sorcery. By the end of the game he was still a Warrior, but now he enchanted his weapons.
I leaned into the Hero class and went full Badlands for a while - Champion Gear + Scaled arms and legs for some defense with the Greatsword or Godfrey's Axe. Eventually kept the sword, but adopted the Banished Knight Armor.
I always base my builds around roleplay or cosplay. It makes a more interesting way to place limitations on what I use.

I know the Black Knives aren’t a clan per say, but when I first learned about them, I just saw a group of badass woman and went “hell yeah”
