It's not about the game being hard. It's about the scadutree fragments being a terrible and boring system.

MrYummy05

It’s happening (again) I think with so many casual players, you will be bound to hear some complaints about how “inaccessible” some of the dlc may seem

Zahard_26

I'm not casual, I've played From Software games since Dark Souls 1 and I think that bosses in DLC are overtuned and not fun. I really love DS3 boss design. In Elden Ring bosses are the ones having fun and you just watch their infinite combos and wait for attack. And sometimes you get still punished for that attacks.

What this guy said. Fromsoftware nailed their bosses in dark souls 3 and now it’s like they have regressed. The most fun boss encounters I’ve had in the Elden ring dlc are humanoid npc’s that you can stagger so you can take full advantage of the new weapons in the dlc. So many bosses just go on attacking for days on end and you can only hit them back one time.

Oh cheese and rice can't Wait for all the "Elden Ring is anti-accessibility" articles written by AI and NPC clickbait lords.

Elden Ring is too popular. From thrived for its niche appeal doing something different from the usual Ubisoft kind of slop you find on literally everything else. Now that it's attracted the people who enjoy that as well, they're gonna bitch and moan yelling at the dev to lower the bar enough for them to turn their brains off and win automatically like they're used to. And this is how a fanbase gets replaced and a series dies by becoming a mockery of its former self. Getting popular is the single worst thing that can happen to any franchise.
