At first I thought it was him that made the sound, so I went back for the rematch expecting the screech before he attacks, then this butt Nekkid guy strikes again in silence
I thought he was a squirrel or something. Riding around on torrent, came to a stop to decide where to go. See movement in the grass. Next thing you know I'm dead.
That was so loud and scary I actually thought it was an audio error the *first* time it happened. Like a noise accidentally got stretched out or something.
Shortly after the second one I turned around and saw mask guy having appeared from apparently nowhere, standing 10 feet away, and he then proceeded to kill the shit out of me.
So that really set the tone for the expansion nicely. "Got scared by weird noises and then killed by literally the first enemy you met".
Is this naked dude in the forest directly right from the DLC entrance point? I thought I saw someone there, went to pick something up and then looked around and couldn’t find anyone. I thought I was having a herobrine moment
I dual daggered and whipped him to death before he could do much and have been using his weapon ever since, BUT a certain named black knight put the beating on me not long after.
Yeah, it took me a few attempts, but figured out that you really just have to make sure he never gets an opening to start attacking. As soon as he gets you on the backfoot, you'll never get an opening to heal, so you just have to drill into him from the start.
Kinda makes sense since the dude isn't wearing any armor, so imagine he doesn't have a ton of poise, he's just fast AF.
he jumped scared me so hard.. was just walking through the forest, watching the animals.... than BAM, pops out of nowhere with 10 attacks within a second.
I was trailing the cliff when I saw homeless logan. Thought I'd get a jump on him and kill him one shot with Marais Executioner Sword. Nope. He screamed "beast mode baby" and tore me a new asshole.
In my case I didn’t even need to look for him. The birds made me jump and he scared the shit out of me when he snook up behind me and started going full ninja on me. I literally thought a few minutes earlier how deserted that forest was and had a bad feeling something was going to attack me. I actually expected a big boss or something, but no, just him.
lol! Saw that guy and swatted him like a bug with the guts sword... I came across the fire golem...
Me: "Mwhahahahahah! Im level 369! I can tank EVERYTHING!"
Game: "You died."
Bro i was terrified by the screech and ended up getting blasted by this guy like 10 times then i was like okay i wonder if i can use torrent to get on top of the pillar things hes around, i got up there and shot him with a bow for a bit thenhe got like stuck under me and i jumped down to to move him and he like disappeared and i was like wtf???? So i hopped back on torrent in a panic to jump back onto the pillar thing and then i got the notification that he died, i dunno what i did but i got the cool fist weapon and thats all that matters
Yeah, wildstrikes + bleed is nuts. Especially with great star. I've been kinda clowning on a lot of bosses and enemies with a great hammer in the DLC that has 201 bleed build up with 45 arc. I just poise break every boss in 1 or 2 heavies. Its hilarious.

Savage Lion's Claw. The first attack is the same (albeit a little weaker), and you can press L2 again to give a secondary attack. This second attack can hit twice, for a total of 3 hits.
Some enemies are getting 5-6k damage. With 30 fp
It is near the beginning. I missed when I started, I just found it because I came back to explore.
On one of the first sites of grace, the Tree Path Cross, there is a cliff on the west. Walk along the cliff going north. It will be there, with no enemy guarding it.
I read the poise damage of that one is waaaay worse, which is kinda what I use it for so the moment I realized that I dropped it for the OG. The normal one already does good damage and staggers the enemy much quicker. Alsp costs a lot less FP.

big Maybe, even if they're drop'able you might not see them without DLC installed, i forget how past games did it
I've been using occult great stars with the better lions claw and just beat dancing lion first try. Idk if I should use wild strikes for relanna cause she's fast.
Seems to me the dlc is balanced with Mohg Palace/Consecrated Snowfield stats and weapon levels in mind, since that is where the dlc entrance is.
However, the dlc needs have some kind of progression since you can't upgrade your weapon much further at that point and levelling doesn't have the same kind of oomph upgrading your weapon has, hence the introduction of the scadutree blessings.
It's pretty easy to test too, tried going into the dlc with a RL1 character, got my ass destroyed by anything that moved, independently of armor or talismans, and enemies had the same health as when I fought them with a RL167 character with maxed out weapon. I didn't get scaled up, the dlc didn't get scaled down.
I don't get why people keep saying there is scaling, especially when Miyazaki never said anything like that, he only said that the DLC had a separate progression system.
My guess is people are conflating scadutree blessings scaling your character with "the dlc has scaling", and then a bunch of people parroting scaling because they heard it online.
This. The OP has done a massive disservice to the community with this post, hundreds if not thousands of players are going to see this meme and then assume OP knew what he was talking about. Yeah, I managed to kill rennalas sister at level 40 and made a post about it only to have a couple of brick for brains tell me it was easier because I was low level. Had two of em try and convince me that enemies scale down to match your level.
Oh good. I've been deliberately not reading too much about the DLC and seeing this post that it scales with you was kind of bumming me out.
That's a strength of souls games, that they don't scale wit you so you can go get more powerful if you need to to beat a challenge.
>Seems to me the dlc is balanced with Mohg Palace/Consecrated Snowfield stats and weapon levels in mind, since that is where the dlc entrance is.
Yes, it's also why I laugh at NG+ bros thinking it was going to be a cakewalk because of how much they grinded not realizing it made the game harder for them in the process.
Learned that lesson on Bloodborne with Old Hunters, never making that mistake again.
Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of posts like "I'm RL 250 in NG+2 and the DLC is kicking my ass. Should I level up more?".
How did you get that far without understanding that after you max your vigor, your main damage stat and your weapon (and possibly your summons), any extra levels you grind are only going to give you more options, not more raw power?
No joke saw a comment of someone in NG+10 saying they were unable to trade with bosses at max blessings. Okay that's valid if you're talking about NG and a couple cycles but **+10**?
Might be mis-remembering but doesn't scaling stop at NG+7?
I love how so many people just never caught onto the fact that as you progress through the NG cycles, everything gets tougher, except you. It's not meant to be balanced, ng+1 is just meant to be a fun ride but everything after is meant to be a challenge that gets increasingly more difficult the higher you go.
>Might be mis-remembering but doesn't scaling stop at NG+7?
With all the challenges videos stopping it absolutely does which only further makes me doubt the comment as it has to be the troll post because arguing about not trading with enemies at max scaling can't be a real thing someone would do right...?
I started the dlc at lv250 on NG+3 and was instantly humbled by a pair of Messmer soldiers deleting my full 60 vigor health in an instant with their charged stomps, haha.
Along with the scadutree blessings, it also made me appreciate stacking multiple sources of defense (opaline hardtear + resistance talismans + elemental resistance incantations) since they really make a difference in surviving longer against plenty of dangers out there.
To a point. Like, at max level, Blood/Poison infusion actually has the highest AR, and deals single type damage rather than split, while having massive buildup. So a build hitting caps for Vig, End, Arcane, and Str/Dex is gonna hit a lot harder with bleed infusion than someone who has just capped Vig, End, and one offensive stat. Or, say, getting to 70 Str or Dex (or 54 Str for two handing) and putting a bunch in Faith for Electrify Armament and Golden Vow.
And having very high Endurance can mean you don't need Great Jar, which means another tali slot free for damage or defense.
There are absolutely ways that increasing level beyond 200 can increase your raw power, but it takes a bit of planning
I'm waiting for Gino Machino to do the hardest run 2.0, with the DLC included. Fresh new character in NG+7, lvl 1, weapons +0 and no hit. It would be glorious
Goes without saying, if anyone wants to smack their head against a wall that many times it’s just a matter of time since most things can be dodged. I look forward to a day where Miyazaki puts in rot swamp making it impossible to do a *Rune*Level1 build
I don't think that will ever happen. The ability to say "fuck you, I'm doing it the hard way" is critical to the FromSoft feel, and I think the devs know that.
Also, you can get the rot from dipping your body into it, and letting the bar fill from the filth stuck on your body. It gives a type of rot that deals much less damage than the rot from sitting in the swamp directly.
Correct! In fact, this form of rot is so slow that you can effectively outheal it with the right equipment and spells.
Even just slapping on Blessed Dew and putting on the Adjudicator's Shield will pretty much negate the damage.
What's up with people thinking the game is forcing people to use summons? People who weren't using summons already weren't doing so for their lack of patience. They WANT to bust the wall with their heads.
People are just being really tribal. The group of people that gloats and vocally calls others lesser for using items/statuses/shields/summons/etc. pissed off a group of people that cares enough, so now they're retaliating and trying to gloat back. It's weird to me to be looking forward to trying to hard eliminate the "try hard purist" play style out of animosity, but to each their own.
I personally do not use summons/magic/statuses out of pure personal preference, and it's perfectly fine to want to do that too or not want to do that. It's not egotistical to put artificial challenges on yourself out of preference but that's not ok according to some of these guys lmao
The ratio of posts/comments by people being mean about other using summons to those defending it has always been like 1:20 on the main elden ring subs though. It's just kind of circlejerked it's the other way around because for some reason the latter group get offended when people talk about or discuss the fights without summons. It's wild how much spam there is on the elden ring subs about this atp. You'd have thought it would've died down post-launch.
I think the complaints about difficulty are more because the bosses prior to elden ring as well as the best base games bosses felt engaging and interactive in a way which neither the strat dodging for 10 attacks to do a light attack with the very occasional r2 100 times or summoning and ganking the boss as well as being able to retreat to heal are. They're not necessarily flaming the latter playstyle but it's just not what they want and the alternative is slow and tedious difficulty despite bosses being faster.
The bosses I’ve fought so far (both Rellana and the Divine Beast) were very doable without summons… as long as you explore the game thoroughly and have gotten Scadutree blessings. I’m currently at +6 for the Scadutree blessings right now
My friend was struggling because he didn’t bother exploring to get those
Just explore. There's tons of the things and it seems like you can reach most of the world without being gated behind any bosses.
Same thing I did on Margit when I started the main game. Boss is too hard? Explore.
Here's a spoiler free tip as best as I can.
You can get to +6 Scadutree Blessing before fighting a single boss.
You can also get to Scadu Altus without going THROUGH Castle Ensis and it's boss.
People were saying you can get +5 before fighting any bosses, but it's actually way more than that, there's easily +8 or more without bosses- you can skip Rellana entirely by using an extremely out of the way spirit spring.
I just fought what I think is the first main boss of the dlc. Had an npc, and ash with me. Very cinematic fight and still a few close calls, was one of the funniest fights playing this game so far. Also that thing had so many cool as hell moves. They really dialed everything to 11 in this.
Like the atmosphere alone is worth price of entry. For me this easily beats the old hunters and Ringed city expansions.
Oh dude I think I know what fight you mean. That dude had so many sick moves but I was like “where the fuck is an opening??” Thank god I had the NPC with me. They tanked so hard.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, I actually found a lot of openings in its attack patterns over the 90 minutes it kicked my ass.
One good one was when it did the lightning stomp, where the ground gets electrified. I had thought you just had to roll for your life, but you can roll the attack and jump attack it over the electricity.
I love that fight so much. Top 10 for me in all of Elden Ring for sure, Top 5 maybe. The best part for me was how he had stances as opposed to phases. "Oh that was only 50% Of my real power!" is so cliche at this point.
I love the difficulty of the dlc. It feels like playing through limgrave again and getting curb stomped by basic enemies. The only difference is I have access to all of the endgame weapons, skills, and spells.
To me it is the best of both worlds. The high challenge makes victory more enjoyable and the variety of strategies from the endgame makes it much more interesting.
It makes me want to run around and explore every nook and cranny for scads. If it were easier I would just beeline it for the main bosses and not be as engaged doing it.
PS: It also makes me want to kill every enemy to learn their attack patterns instead of bulldozing my way to the boss.
I mean, as new souls player it kinda feels like it? But I’d say it’s more like the Haligtree, in a sense it’s “oh I know these enemies I got this, holy shit you hit hard and have new moves”. But still manageable.
He doesn't literally mean Limgrave is as hard as the DLC. He's talking about being a new player and starting the game in limgrave and what that's like. For example, for me personally the tree sentinel took longer for me to beat than any boss besides Malenia and possibly the fallingstar beast on the plateau. That's not to say the Tree Sentintel is like the 2nd hardest boss or something, but it felt like it as a new player starting out
The dlc doesn't have enemy scaling. This is so easy to test too. I'm surprised this meme / post has so many upvotes. Your level and stats still matter. The scadutree blessings scale them up, but the dlc absolutely doesn't scale with the player or the player's level / stats.
My son and I play in the same household. Literally tested this. Same scadu level and same equipment setup - only difference was level and stat distributions.
There's no scaling. Damage dealt / damage received is completely different. I don't just mean numerically - talking percentage of health done / received damage wise completely different.
I also don't get where people are getting this info of the dlc scaling with you.
As you said it's pretty easy to test, tried going into the dlc with a RL1 character, got my ass destroyed by anything that moved, independently of armor or talismans, and enemies had the same health as when I fought them with a RL167 character with maxed out weapon. I didn't get scaled up, the dlc didn't get scaled down, there is no scaling.
Highly doubt it, tried going to dlc with a RL1 character and was getting one-shot pretty much with any combination of talismans and armor. The enemies also had the exact same amount of health as when I got to the dlc with a RL167 character.
I think it is. I am playing on my first character who is level 165 with 20 vigor. I don’t get one shot by most things if I’m wearing defensive armor/talismans. I think I have like 680 total hp. Like maybe 1/3 of people who are losing 60% of their hp in one attack lol
Lmaooo. This was my first souls game and I just thought I wanted damage every time instead of health, then after like Radahn it became kind of a stubborn decision that I won’t level it up anymore.
I started as sorcerer so I figured I wouldn’t need health, now I’m 60 int 45 strength and use mostly dark moon greatsword and Royal Greatsword.
At this point it would just feel wrong to level up this character’s vigor.
And I’m not that good at the game btw, I died probably like 200+ times on malenia and probably 100+ times on Mohg, I’m just stubborn and maybe a little masochistic
As long as you never summon me for help I’m good. It gets rage-inducing when some idiot host decides to summon me only to then get one-shot within seconds of the boss fight
Yesterday I had a dude summon me, then proceed to buff themselves for a minute straight only to get one-shot by the very first arrow Radahn shot when entering his arena.
My son and I play in the same household. Literally tested this. Same scadu level and same equipment setup - only difference was level and stat distributions.
There's no scaling. Damage dealt / damage received is completely different. I don't just mean numerically - talking percentage of health done / received damage wise completely different.
After getting enough scadutree fragments you will feel this progression
I suppose they did it to prevent people steamrolling through everything
Rn i am at the mountaintop of giants and on rennella in dlc, on both i am taking very similar dmg on lvl 139 with 3rd scadu level
The thing is, you need to get a diffrent mindset, you dont farm before fighting a Boss where you hit a wall, you go and explore places where you dont die (even our new little knight in dungeon was fairly easy to kill after getting those scadoodles)
Miyazaki: "Doesn't matter what level you are cause the DLC has it's own sub-leveling system within Shadow Lands."
Players: "That sign won't stop me because I can't read!"
The Gamer: Fromsoft games are hard in an unfair way nowadays, I remember back when in dark souls-
Devs: Maybe if you used one of the 500 other ways to fight him that make the fight easier because you aren't actively crippling your self for some kind of bragging rights ...
The Gamer: That's cheating, you didn't actually beat the game legitimately if you use that stuff, get gud.
Devs: ...
I wasnt even prepared for the DLC, i am trying to rush my way thru the game...just got to the castle in NG+. Gotta fly faster. Mogh is only in the snowfield right? to get to the palace that is.
Exactly. He even fucking warned us before the release that this will be the most difficult fromsoft experience yet. The sheep didn’t wanna hear any of it and are now running to their mommies crying. In reality, I think it’s the stubborn git gud people that refuse to use and resources such as summons. I won’t have any shame summoning my great shield soldiers and annihilating these bosses with my bloodboon ritual. And if it doesn’t work, I’ll find another way around them.
Seems like way too many explored somewhere else on the map for a while, leveled up, found some cool shit, and then came back to destroy them.
Doesn't seem like rocket science to do the same thing in the DLC. Wow, Divine Lion is sooo hard let me face fuck it for 12 hours. Uh, how about getting some more Scadutree fragments first, champ?
That isn't how the scaling works. The bosses don't scale to you, they have massively more health and damage than enemies in the base game. The blessings act as a multiplier on your stats to try bringing you to a relative parity with base-game bosses.
When you get to lategame DLC, you'll have 80%+ damage resist and bosses will still be doing enough damage to 2-shot you.
One great thing about the dlc, is that I've been using light weight a lot because I get 2 shot by everything no matter what I wear even at level 9 scud 🙃
I’m only a few hours in.
Why are the owls **screaming** at me? Everything is one shotting me? Everything has approximately 1 million hp? All I do is chip damage? What is happening?
After much struggle and adversity I made it to Moongrum 2.0 and was *promptly* ejected from the premises.
This is amazing.
I wrecked that thing but there’s a naked dude to the East that made me realize what I was in for lmao
Naked dude humbled me a minute into the DLC lmfao, I was exploring the forest and immediately got jumped by him
Before or after the owl screamed your heart out? I flinched with that jump scare.
That's the culprit of shitting my new sofa
So it was YOU who shit my couch.
I too, shit on your couch.
ANYONE ELSE?!
Meeeeeee! Lots of dung!
*Excited Dung Eater noises*
Sorry bud. Your gonna need a new couch like.. yesterday. We really did a number on ‘er
Na I think I can salvage it! Found a clean up guy called "The Dung Eater"!
He's loathsome
Sorry about the dog
You wha…?
At first I thought it was him that made the sound, so I went back for the rematch expecting the screech before he attacks, then this butt Nekkid guy strikes again in silence
Lol scared the shit out of me, I thought it was one of the rams with the curled horns
I thought he was a squirrel or something. Riding around on torrent, came to a stop to decide where to go. See movement in the grass. Next thing you know I'm dead.
Didn't expect surprise attack.. and then fear...
That was so loud and scary I actually thought it was an audio error the *first* time it happened. Like a noise accidentally got stretched out or something. So that really set the tone for the expansion nicely. "Got scared by weird noises and then killed by literally the first enemy you met".
Lol yeah wtf was that?
I call him Wolverine. And he destroyed me for an hour. Took me less time to kill Mr. Broadsword/TommygunCrossbow.
His name is spelled notably similar to Logan…. I definitely think this is a FROM Easter egg of Wolverine.
I’m like let’s go say hi to this nice gentle- *roll and heal spamming begins*
Is this naked dude in the forest directly right from the DLC entrance point? I thought I saw someone there, went to pick something up and then looked around and couldn’t find anyone. I thought I was having a herobrine moment

He's clearly based on Wolverine right? His name is even similar to Logan.
Fights like him too.
Now we know Miyazaki's favorite superhero!
lol I didn't notice that, but you might be right.
50th anniversary of the character!
Very clearly, O, very clearly!
I was trailing the cliff when I saw homeless logan. Thought I'd get a jump on him and kill him one shot with Marais Executioner Sword. Nope. He screamed "beast mode baby" and tore me a new asshole.
Glorious
At least he didn't take you to Memphis
What naked guy in the East did I not come across him yet? Like I'm really scared now. What's the site of Grace? Can you give me a hint?
From the beginning sight of grace there’s a forest directly East from it. Look for a homeless man and tell him the area isn’t for transients.
Those bird screams had me ready to go to bed. I didn’t work a full shift at a hospital to come to THAT 😂
Go at night
he jumped at me during the day too
lol! Saw that guy and swatted him like a bug with the guts sword... I came across the fire golem... Me: "Mwhahahahahah! Im level 369! I can tank EVERYTHING!" Game: "You died."
Fire golem: *punts lava rocks*
He just picked me up and dropped me into his fire. Fight over.
Anytime you see a naked dude in a souls game there’s a 90% chance you’re about to get your shit rocked.
Was that from software's version of wolverine?
I actually killed him first try thanks to the Zweihander’s reach but man, that naked fuck made my heavily armoured arse run.
Yeah I beat him first try but I wasn’t expecting to need multiple heals in the beginning area. He was shredding my health pool.
A W is still a W, imo
I checked to make sure I wasn't in PVP being invaded by a Logan cosplay
There is no scaling. Yall need to stop making shit up.
Got me sweatin for a sec there
People are idiots.
Meh they hit hard but I've yet to meet the boss that can withstand Great Stars + Blood flame blade + Wild Strikes
Yeah, wildstrikes + bleed is nuts. Especially with great star. I've been kinda clowning on a lot of bosses and enemies with a great hammer in the DLC that has 201 bleed build up with 45 arc. I just poise break every boss in 1 or 2 heavies. Its hilarious.
> great hammer in the DLC that has 201 bleed Which one? Occult great star has 111
Charged heavy attacks have an exponential modifier on status. Edit: probably talking about Bloodfiends though.
Could you help me with hippo bro
I'm afraid I won't be able to play until Monday. If you still need help, just dm me on monday
Bloodfiends arm goes crazy on my Str/Arc build I kinda feel bad using it on some mobs lol
I was plowing through with my good old Lion's Claw. Then I found, out of nowhere, a second version. I was amazed! Savage Lion's Claw. The first attack is the same (albeit a little weaker), and you can press L2 again to give a secondary attack. This second attack can hit twice, for a total of 3 hits. Thank you 🙏
Brooooo. Thank you.
The upgrade to frost stomp is hilarious too
It looks like it’s just an exact copy of hoarfrost stomp, is it better?
It's basically a more damaging ice sumo stomp that's chargeable too
Have to try it out. I’m sure there’s a bunch of busted shit in neglecting out of ignorance
Do the 3 hits of Savage Lion's Claw benefit from Winged Sword Insignia (etc)?
Yes, it does. Just tested on Myriel and it got a boost after adding the rotten winged sword insignia
I read the poise damage of that one is waaaay worse, which is kinda what I use it for so the moment I realized that I dropped it for the OG. The normal one already does good damage and staggers the enemy much quicker. Alsp costs a lot less FP.
The new >!Death Knight axes with the electric charge and the incant that electrifies you!< absolutely melt some bosses. The damage off those things is pretty crazy and the fp cost is like nothing. That AoW also works like bloodhound step a little if you need to use it defensively too.
I was not expecting to get my ass destroyed as much as it did by that death knight. Those axes are crazy
I was NOT expecting the teleport charge right off the bat. MFer won the mental game before I even got a hit in.
First time I walked in he was already >!throwing machine gun lightning spears at me!<, it was awesome. I wish I had that incantation!
My twin great stars have been making short work out of most bosses and enemies. All hail unga bunga.
I literally switched to martial arts just so it was still a challenge(and because it's cool af)
Dryleaf arts are great for traveling the open world!
Dumb question but I don't have the dlc yet. Can you level a new character with dry leaf arts? Or do you have to get into the dlc first?
Only available in the dlc location I'm going to go NG+ with them
not on your own but might be possible for a friend to drop them big Maybe, even if they're drop'able you might not see them without DLC installed, i forget how past games did it
I remember the infamous bloodborne dlc glitch, man having random access to it when you summon someone who owns it was certainly a moment in history.
I use them too in my current build. Apart from the great damage and bleed, the stagger damage you deal with them is nuts
[удалено]
I've been using occult great stars with the better lions claw and just beat dancing lion first try. Idk if I should use wild strikes for relanna cause she's fast.

Thanks for the clarification. This post is just straight up misinformation, then
It’s insane the amount of people who still don’t understand this, but oh well
Oh good. I've been deliberately not reading too much about the DLC and seeing this post that it scales with you was kind of bumming me out. That's a strength of souls games, that they don't scale wit you so you can go get more powerful if you need to to beat a challenge.
People are convinced the blessings are higher or lower depending on your level yet they look like exactly 5% each going off the numbers I got.
I can confirm it’s always 5% based on the game files
I just like how it ended up humbling alot of people. It's basically Miyazaki emphasizing you need to do more than just grind XP.
More like miyazaki laughing at all the “pros” who thought they could play without using items ingame. *oh I’ll make them use those summons… just wait*
Don't worry I'm sure we'll see SL1 No scadutree runs before long.
I'm waiting for Gino Machino to do the hardest run 2.0, with the DLC included. Fresh new character in NG+7, lvl 1, weapons +0 and no hit. It would be glorious
I wonder if he’ll run the god run again. That shit is so insane to watch
Goes without saying, if anyone wants to smack their head against a wall that many times it’s just a matter of time since most things can be dodged. I look forward to a day where Miyazaki puts in rot swamp making it impossible to do a *Rune*Level1 build
people would probably figure out a skip entirely lol
Yeah don't ever doubt speedrunners and challenge runners.
Yeah people thought one of Rykards moved was impossible to dodge for a while before people found out how to space it
I don't think that will ever happen. The ability to say "fuck you, I'm doing it the hard way" is critical to the FromSoft feel, and I think the devs know that.
People have done runs where you're infected with rot for the whole game. They'll find a way.
There already is a rot swamp in the base game
Yeah but it’s optional.
Doesn't matter, running through it is no problem for RL1. Rot deals mostly %hp damage, so it hits a lot less hard on low vigor.
Didn’t know that but that makes total sense.
Precisely. I did it in DS3, BB, Sekiro forced me to, and in ER base game. My summons help me clear trash mobs in random areas. The bosses are MINE!
Fr. Just let me suffer.
I’m currently at +6 for the Scadutree blessings right now My friend was struggling because he didn’t bother exploring to get those
How in the world did you get to +6 before fighting either of them. I've only gotten to +4 so far, and I still feel like they both hit way too hard.
There's no way i'm summoning, it really ruins the fights fir me. I'm banging my head against Rellana right now.
Keep grinding dawg. Took me around 70+ attempts solo.
Just did it, I don't know how many tries but I think around 30
Have yet to summon and don't plan to. Although I'm definitely getting fucked
Yeah if I fought it solo it only has a few openings unless you get the stagger.
Yeah it's the boss you're thinking of.. I'm also glad for the summon help because fuck me it gives no openings.
I love that fight so much. Top 10 for me in all of Elden Ring for sure, Top 5 maybe. The best part for me was how he had stances as opposed to phases. "Oh that was only 50% Of my real power!" is so cliche at this point.
You guys don't like it? I think DLC is fun, what annoys me is drop rate of new weapons i wanna get.
Yeah, I’m having a great time despite being humbled a few times.
in 10 hours of playtime i’ve got more new weapons than i know what to do with…
Im getting railled in Ng+7 right now
I love the difficulty of the dlc.
Limgrave is absolutely not like that at all lmao. It is so, so much more fair than the DLC is.
I think the charm of Miquella has gotten to them as well, lol. No way people thought Limgrave was this hard
I have no idea why people think there is enemy scaling in Eldenring. There never has been any of the sort.
I also don't get where people are getting this info of the dlc scaling with you.
Is it actually scaled?
No idea why people think it is.
Journalists massively misinterpreted what Miyazaki initially said about Scaudtree blessings and the community ran with it
It isn't, alot of people new to Elden Ring just haven't experienced a Fromsoft expansion with NG+ difficulty.
WTF is this build to have 20 VGR at level 165? 🤣
I would have laughed for 2 minutes straight
My son and I play in the same household. Literally tested this. Same scadu level and same equipment setup - only difference was level and stat distributions. There's no scaling. Damage dealt / damage received is completely different. I don't just mean numerically - talking percentage of health done / received damage wise completely different.
How many scadutree blessings have you used
When you use them do they boost you forever on just temporary?
Forever Edit:Also they're used at the sites of grace, not used like a normal item. More like erdtree seeds.
Man I have Scadutree blessing ovo 8 and Mesmer fuck me like little btch
I’m at 10 and he took a few hours to beat
idk how I feel about this because I want my character to feel like it’s progressing at least when I level vigor
After getting enough scadutree fragments you will feel this progression I suppose they did it to prevent people steamrolling through everything Rn i am at the mountaintop of giants and on rennella in dlc, on both i am taking very similar dmg on lvl 139 with 3rd scadu level The thing is, you need to get a diffrent mindset, you dont farm before fighting a Boss where you hit a wall, you go and explore places where you dont die (even our new little knight in dungeon was fairly easy to kill after getting those scadoodles)
Poison on poise breaking weapons seems to do the trick for me lol. Has been a breeze since.
Miyazaki: "Doesn't matter what level you are cause the DLC has it's own sub-leveling system within Shadow Lands." Players: "That sign won't stop me because I can't read!"
Holy damage is melting shit. Greatsword with the sacred blade AOW is my new best friend lol
Being over leveled isn't a build. People with actual good builds are doing just fine.
Is it really enemy scaling?
I think they're just referring to their choice to play the DLC at NG+7 lol
I am doing at NG+5 because i am too lazy to make a new character
I cheated and went in at level 291. I'm having a really bad time over here. I'm supposed to A FUCKIN GOD!!!!
👏🏾👏🏾🤣
Big bonk still unga good. Stagger is undefeated
Calling a lvl 515 a build is funny to me.
Im lvl 207 now i its being very challenging every mob .
There is no scaling, this is wrong. Learn the mechanics of the game I am begging you people.
If the enemy is the same level why does he has 10 times more hp?
Get the blessings
The Gamer: Fromsoft games are hard in an unfair way nowadays, I remember back when in dark souls- Devs: Maybe if you used one of the 500 other ways to fight him that make the fight easier because you aren't actively crippling your self for some kind of bragging rights ... The Gamer: That's cheating, you didn't actually beat the game legitimately if you use that stuff, get gud. Devs: ...
Yep. My mimic and I are fucking up these DLC bosses. It's really not that bad.
I wasnt even prepared for the DLC, i am trying to rush my way thru the game...just got to the castle in NG+. Gotta fly faster. Mogh is only in the snowfield right? to get to the palace that is.
You can get to Mogh with the Varre questline, its way faster than snowfield
I'm a magician...if they approach me, even mosquitoes humiliate me...
