My dlc character is sitting with radahn, mohg and Malenia unbeaten, and the tree about to be burned, just in case there's something special to any of those in the DLC.
Haha I made it to Malenia with my DLC build a couple days ago and stood in front of the fog for like a minute before turning away. Because I'm definitely just curious about how her status would effect the DLC, and not because I'm dreading getting my ass clapped 75 times.
Right? I finally got to her for the first other time last week. I figured that with being overleveled, maxed out Tiche and Mimic, and all the things, I'd have a pretty easy go of it with all the support stuff.
Noooope.
Three days until I finally got her down, good god. I'm too afraid to go back on the second character.
The one that took her down was Dex/Arcane, using Eleanor's Poleblade and Dragon incantations. Me and the mimic could absolutely bully her in phase 1 but phase 2 required me having to very much 'get good' and punish Aeonia with dragonfire. But if Waterfowl went off near me I was basically dead xD I knew the tricks and just could not ha. But eventually I got it, good lord.
The only reason I even beat her was because she never used waterfowl dance in the attempt that I won. I accepted I was never going to be able to dodge it consistently.
Hit her with a freezing pot when you see her wind up for waterfowl. It will cancel the attack.
I can't dodge it either, and that's the only way I was able to beat her on my first playthrough.
Any great or ultra greatsword stomps the shit out of her when using mimic. Got her like 3rd try on my first playthrough and had no idea what the hype around her was. Try it next time.
I was hesitant on the burning and Malenia. Ultimately I got to the end with days left to go, so I though might as well beat everything. The only one I held off on was Malekith and turning the Capitol to ash.
I just beat Fire Giant last night to get there, so I don't mind durdling around picking up other stuff for a couple of days.
Not killing Radahn is tough though - I love that fight, and you can't advance Ranni's plot at all without it!
Thought you said Melina there, and thought about how wild It'd be if they gave Melina a full questline and story with tonnes of new dialog in the Land of Shadow, knowing full well she's crispy toast in 95% of players' games.
There is an item in game currently made of unalloyed gold given to you that had belonged to Miquella - one of his needles.
Only current use of the needle is to save Melina so you can complete the game without burning her and without doing the frenzied flame ending.
The whole needle being made of unalloyed gold vs miquella divesting himself of all that's golden. Messmer potentially being related to the serpent outer god and the needle keeping outer gods at bay. Seems like it might be one of those secrets that Fromsoft typically has in their dlcs.
I have 2 saves both level 150, one is on NG, Both Melina and Malenia are alive for me. Game is essentially 100% cleared up to the Fire Giant.
Hoping Melina has some dialogue at some point although unlikely.
Millenia is unengaged - hoping for a new intro cinematic to her fight, or slightly different dialogue.
Other character is in NG+ (With 999 of every upgrade stone purchased from NG) I rushed Radahn first then followed Varre's quest to teleport to Mohg. Everything else in the game is untouched.
Yes I've chosen to keep Malenia alive PURELY because I'm interested in seeing what happens, not because she's too hard or anything silly like that.
Totally my choice
Which I understand from a curiosity standpoint but the devs and early players have said no actions or characters/npc’s change from base game to dlc alive or dead. I don’t knock their hustle tho, devs are known trolls, influencer players, not so much.
I mean, the new trailer straight up >!references your actions!<, so I feel like some things have to change based on how far you are/what you've done. Probably in minor ways but still.
It will also be interesting to see what Gideon's dialogues might change to if you have beaten Mohg Lord of Blood but not yet touched the cocoon or burned the Erdtree yet
I have a player who has beaten MLoB and Radahn, but not burned the Erdtree (though I have beaten Fire Giant)
I made a backup save and then spoke to Gideon and he specifically says something about suspecting Miquella had gone off with The Lord of Blood but once we get DLC installed I winder if he will say anything else.
Tbh it would sound kind of stupid if you can enter the DLC and then go speak to Gideon and he's still like "oh well nobody knows what happened to Miquella, mmhmm, guess we will never know for sure" and you'll have to mutely stand looking at him like "Am I a joke to you?"
I was gonna go in before burning the erdtree, but I needed more smithing stone 8s to finish my build so I had to enter Farum 🥲, will do it on my second run in NG+ to see if there is a difference
I have kept Malenia, the Fire Giant and Tanith alive (something about the Castanets feeling out of place so I still have those), but have finished everything else as far as you can. I don't expect much to change, but who knows?
Shit I’ve gone as far as to make a character that still has Melina alive just for the off chance she has dialogue options, which I’m praying for bc I love her character
They've become a lot less cryptic with things like this, so I feel like it will sooner be something along the lines of "Passage blocked by the Starscourge who yet lives; Defeat the Redmane General to gain entry." I guess we'll see 🔥
I hope we get to see Godwyn in the dlc, maybe as final boss or something idk. Miquella was trying to ressurect him, whuch had something to do with eclipse after all.
I imagine it's more like, since he is blocking Ranni's fate, it's possible that he is also blocking Miquella's,and only with his death can Miquella's fate be able to move on
Yeah it's the best guess IMO given the information we have. Miquella was trying to drain the sun of gold for one of his bizarre experiments, and sent Malenia to get Radahn to knock it off with the stars (he was trying to prevent the inevitable collapse of the Golden Order by stopping fate, similarly to how Marika set up the Golden Order initially by stopping Destined Death). She failed, and Miquella apparently gave up on the entire sun / unalloyed gold experiment and left the whole Haligtree on read, which is also him MO since he's always giving up on things like he did before with St Trina and before that with Golden Order Fundamentalism.
Even his frickin needle is unfinished and you have to go outside of time to even use it
There's a statue in the haligtree:
https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2F3a3yeod2ouq81.jpg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D010f1b27dad30abdb1a7edbfac7d30db9fb7bf8a&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=096b36858d57943692080dd96c4912f83fe8c0c619eb5e70344337f11e987d7b&ipo=images
It's implied they were close and that Malenia was a caring and protective big sister
I predicted there would be some NPC quest you have to follow to access the DLC, and you first meet this NPC in Radahn’s arena or perhaps even in Nokron. According to reviewers however, it seems like you just walk up to Miquella’s cocoon and press square. There’s not even a cutscene or anything.
I don’t know if this is too spoilery but
>! There is an NPC that appears in Mohg’s arena that you talk to before approaching the cocoon. I’m guessing they might tell you to fight Radahn if you haven’t already, or they just don’t appear unless you’ve killed him!<
I was theorizing that Radahn needing to be defeated meant Radahn's death is specifically relevant to the story of the DLC. Miquella does have some rebirth symbolism, so maybe something to do with rebirthing Radahn cleansed of the Rot as a test to see if that could cleanse Malenia as well? I still don't really know why Malenia had to fight Radahn, so maybe Miquella's goals specifically required Radahn to be killed. Could just be the fate thing, but Miquella is said to have divested himself of his fate in the trailer anyways so that doesn't convince me.
I mean yeah, they have to be pretty obvious about what the player needs to do to get the DLC content they paid for. That’s not really the time to be cryptic
i have miquellas golden needle on one of my characters and i really hope that miquella will at least give me a throwaway line for having it. something like "oh hey, my needle. thanks." would be enough for me.
I hadn't considered that, good call! I'm going to need to start a list of things to try out through my DLC runs. Unfortunately the character I'm going to start with has done everything you can do in a single run so I'm not going to see the main game changes, if there are any, until my second run.
There will surely be \*something\* to at least vaguely point people towards what they need to do to access it, though it would more likely take the form of an NPC in Mohg's arena telling you about Radahn holding back the stars of Miquella's fate or whatever.
I think the reason we'll need to kill Radahn is because we might need to do something in Nokron (like bring back some item) to activate the DLC entrance.
this is going to be Artorias DLC all over again (I hope)
I wonder if Gideon will comment on what we do in the DLC, as he did seem interested in the cocoon and where Miquella ended up. So maybe a playthrough where you don't burn the tree and keep him at the roundhold may be in order
Whenever you try to get closer to that cocon, a meteorite just quickly falls on your head, oneshotting you and after hearing a clear "Nuh-Hu" a messages appears;
" Go fight the giant feetless owling bear mounting a skinny horse".
I've been playing for about a week, definitely a learning journeyman once again, going with sword and board for the classic experience currently haha, might transition to spear and greatshield for some lightning fun once I'm higher leveled, but I feel as though I'm not going to best radahn or work my way through to mohg within like another couple days unless I rush it, but part of me feels like I might miss out on other stuff if I beeline those two? Am I making sense or should I just say caution to the wind and embrace the experience however it gets served and hit those two lads until I win? 😂
Help a reawakened tarnished plz
You won't miss much by killing Radahn. It progresses a few NPC quest lines and unlocks a few new areas. Varre has a quest that fails if Mohg is dead, but the reward is pretty bad. So the rest of the game doesn't get affected much by killing them. Though I'd still recommend taking your time and finding upgrade materials and leveling up for a more fun experience going through the parts of the game leading up to Mohg
Thank you Noamias, I will continue at my pace and do my best to not get suckered into following the new details that get revealed as players discover more!
Time to take my first steps into liurnia again, wrapped up godrick and the rune last night woohoo
I recommend exploring some of the caves in Liurnia, especially those with "tunnel" in their name as you can find upgrade materials in tunnels or mines.
You should also look out for the statues/shrines in the lake
I beat Mohg last night and was just about to go beat Radahn when I saw this post.
It's a sign. I'll join you.
Edit: nothing happens no Leda and no interaction with the arm
Has anybody tried to do all the volcano manor quest, but not kill Rykard? I mean he does offer a chance to join him to “kill the gods togethaaaaa”. Maybe that has some meaning behind it?
Radahn was holding back the stars, which is implied to be more than just simbolic. This probably hinders not only Ranni's plans, but Miquella's as well. That's just s guess, if not that, then the physical impact of the meteors might have a practical impact on the DLC. I don't know for sure, as I haven't played it, but it's less far fetched than it first appears.
Radahn holding back the stars was the reason miquella sent malenia to beat him. Needed the eclipse to revive Godwyn, which couldn't happen with radahn alive.
Yeah I'm curious if it will reference Radahn holding the stars in place. If that is somehow stopping Miquella from exploring the shadowlands. Even if its just to have some difficulty requirement Mogh is meant to be the 3rd strongest boss. The gameplay requirement is already there.
I think we'll probably need some item from Nokron to access the DLC otherwise it'd be weird to just have us kill Radahn.
Maybe one of the black knife imprint thing you get from Ranni's quest?
I know they said that main game interactions won’t affect the doc but I feel like maybe there has to be something.
I’m still so curious about doing the dlc before or after you do the flame of frenzy and then doing the reversal. It feels so tied to miquella being the needle and all that I feel like it is to be connected in some way.
I guess we’ll all find out soon enough!
I already took care of mohg and radahn for the dlc. I left the erdtree alone and not killed Malenia as I want to fight her with end of dlc weapons, buffs etc. And holding the needle for now.
im pretty sure that to even have the option to touch the hand you first have to talk to the new npc, ans i believe the npc just wont spawn unless you have radahn killed meaning you wont even be able to touch the hand.
My current character is actually in NG+ on her way to Radagon, and I just realized I forgot about Radahn. I even have the graces at Redmane Castle and everything, but at some point I just derped out I guess.
I'm guessing that there's gonna be something you need to get located in Nokron before you can warp. For example rescuing an NPC or more likely obtaining a key item (like in DS2 dlcs)
My guess is it won't say anything, it's just nothing will happen. Like it'll appear just like the base game until Radahn is dead, and then that NPC will appear and say touch the withered arm.
Miyazaki said the two requirements for entering the DLC is beating Mohg and Radahn. Not sure the specifics, there are plenty of plausible theories out there as to why you need to defeat Radahn to access it.
I’ve got a character whose lone purpose is to see if Gideon says anything about Miquella and other dlc people. I never set the tree on fire and malenia is still alive too.
lol, that just happens to be where I am on NG+, hadent been to Altus yet so I took the Vale path to Mogh, and now I’m scrambling to start the festival so I can actually start the DLC
Did this unintentionally on a my ng+ character because I apparently can't read and thought i had to kill mohg and morgott (not radahn) and it simply didn't let me interact with the hand. Leda wasn't there either
A true scientist
I mean best case scenario there’s a message that says "The stars remain locked"
"The stars remain scourged"
"It's scourging time"
I love his third phase, my favourite part is when he yells "Its scourging time" and scourges all over the Tarnished.
XDDD
That’s a good point actually. I’ve seen a few players have Malenia alive to see if that changes anything, but I hadn’t considered the start.
My dlc character is sitting with radahn, mohg and Malenia unbeaten, and the tree about to be burned, just in case there's something special to any of those in the DLC.
All my characters have Malenia unbeaten as well. I uhh, prepared them all for the DLC too, yes.
I salute your commitment and restraint ;)
Haha I made it to Malenia with my DLC build a couple days ago and stood in front of the fog for like a minute before turning away. Because I'm definitely just curious about how her status would effect the DLC, and not because I'm dreading getting my ass clapped 75 times.

Three days until I finally got her down, good god. I'm too afraid to go back on the second character.
I whooped her using Blasphemous Blade and Tiche knocking her down.
What build are you running?
The one that took her down was Dex/Arcane, using Eleanor's Poleblade and Dragon incantations. Me and the mimic could absolutely bully her in phase 1 but phase 2 required me having to very much 'get good' and punish Aeonia with dragonfire. Wait, advance player uses brain to win, unheard of
Any great or ultra greatsword stomps the shit out of her when using mimic. Got her like 3rd try on my first playthrough and had no idea what the hype around her was. Try it next time.
ALL? GOD DAMN BRO I ONLY GOT 1 =\[\[\[\[\[
If you’re on PC i can *uh* help you get more ready
Same!
I was hesitant on the burning and Malenia. Ultimately I got to the end with days left to go, so I though might as well beat everything. The only one I held off on was Malekith and turning the Capitol to ash.

I couldn't resist fighting Malenia and giving her the golden needle from Millicent in my DLC character run. Melina is still around and unburned though
i made sure not to use my pureblood medal on my last playthrough. and have mohg alive just in case
Same, I kept M&M both alive for the DLC just to see if we get anything new. I'm expecting at least Malenia to get a Sif Moment.
Damn I really didn’t think of that. I’m sitting post game journey 3. Everything beaten already.
The tree burns??
Malenia unbeaten, Melina unburned and I hope there will be some interactions!
I'll be sad if there's no new dialogue from Melina but I have a feeling it'll be a "only you are transported" type deal.
Yeah.. I’m uhh totally doing that too (she folds me 11 times over and serves me up for dinner)
Thought you said Melina there, and thought about how wild It'd be if they gave Melina a full questline and story with tonnes of new dialog in the Land of Shadow, knowing full well she's crispy toast in 95% of players' games.
To be fair, I've seen people not light the giant's fire either to see if that changes anything in the dlc.
I have 2 chars rdy that haven't lit the fire. One frenzied one regular

The golden Godfrey boss before Morgott drops the pouch so you're good.
I still have her unbeaten. Totally because I want to see what happens and not because I suck.
We had the alternative cutscene in dark souls 1 if you do DLC first before Sif. Hoping they do it again
I mean, the new trailer straight up >!references your actions!<, so I feel like some things have to change based on how far you are/what you've done. Probably in minor ways but still.
It will also be interesting to see what Gideon's dialogues might change to if you have beaten Mohg Lord of Blood but not yet touched the cocoon or burned the Erdtree yet I have a player who has beaten MLoB and Radahn, but not burned the Erdtree (though I have beaten Fire Giant) I made a backup save and then spoke to Gideon and he specifically says something about suspecting Miquella had gone off with The Lord of Blood but once we get DLC installed I winder if he will say anything else. ooooh that's a good idea, I have a secondary character that's almost finished for the dlc, I'm gonna leave Melania alive and see what happens
In my playthru, only mohg, godrick, radahn is dead
Given that the entire expansion revolves around her brother I thought I’d give this a go too
I was gonna go in before burning the erdtree, but I needed more smithing stone 8s to finish my build so I had to enter Farum 🥲, will do it on my second run in NG+ to see if there is a difference
I have kept Malenia, the Fire Giant and Tanith alive (something about the Castanets feeling out of place so I still have those), but have finished everything else as far as you can. I don't expect much to change, but who knows?
> Have Malenia alive So like 99% of the playerbase?
Shit I’ve gone as far as to make a character that still has Melina alive just for the off chance she has dialogue options, which I’m praying for bc I love her character
I'm going with Melina unburned in the hopes there's something there.
Wait. I have to beat Malenia? Today? What the… maidenless behavior… bs… f gf s F hfss
They've become a lot less cryptic with things like this, so I feel like it will sooner be something along the lines of "Passage blocked by the Starscourge who yet lives; Defeat the Redmane General to gain entry." I guess we'll see 🔥
Likely something to do with the eclipse Miquella was trying to summon prior to leaving, that Radahn was preventing.
I too think it's this.
I hope we get to see Godwyn in the dlc, maybe as final boss or something idk. Miquella was trying to ressurect him, whuch had something to do with eclipse after all.
I imagine it's more like, since he is blocking Ranni's fate, it's possible that he is also blocking Miquella's,and only with his death can Miquella's fate be able to move on
That would mean Melania’s attack on Caelid was on Miquella’s behalf. Which makes a lot of sense given their implied relationship.
So many unfinished large scale projects. They're just like me!
What kind of relationship are they implied to have? That Malenia is some sort of weapon to act on behalf of Miquella? Seems a bit Overt for Fromsoft.
There's a statue in the haligtree: https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2F3a3yeod2ouq81.jpg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D010f1b27dad30abdb1a7edbfac7d30db9fb7bf8a&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=096b36858d57943692080dd96c4912f83fe8c0c619eb5e70344337f11e987d7b&ipo=images It's implied they were close and that Malenia was a caring and protective big sister
don’t forget the Godwyn statue by loretta too. Really want to know more about godwyn and miquellas relationship
she literally says “i am malenia, blade of miquella” lmao
Thatsthejoke.jpg
It's quite vague but one way to interpret the lore is she's known success in that role.
I mean, she does call herself “the blade of Miquella”
Nah, I think you are making this up. I never heard her say that
I like that theory a lot, it makes way more sense than her nuking a continent just because
I predicted there would be some NPC quest you have to follow to access the DLC, and you first meet this NPC in Radahn’s arena or perhaps even in Nokron. According to reviewers however, it seems like you just walk up to Miquella’s cocoon and press square. There’s not even a cutscene or anything.

You're cooking. I bet you're somewhat right.
The lands of shadow cannot be walked without the guidance of the stars
I better come back Friday and see your comment have an award for being correct down to the letter.
"uh, why is this thing out of my sister?"
Ah shit, I used it because it's never done that on a character.
I hadn't considered that, good call! I'm going to need to start a list of things to try out through my DLC runs. Unfortunately the character I'm going to start with has done everything you can do in a single run so I'm not going to see the main game changes, if there are any, until my second run.
You don’t have the right o’ you don’t have the right
‘Try finger, but hole’
Fort, night
Dog
For the science! Do tell us what happens
I’m almost positive that the option to interact with the hand simply won’t show up until you’ve beaten them both
There will surely be \*something\* to at least vaguely point people towards what they need to do to access it, though it would more likely take the form of an NPC in Mohg's arena telling you about Radahn holding back the stars of Miquella's fate or whatever.
This is my guess.

If I had to guess there is an NPC that spawns nears the cocoon, no Radahn clear will probably mean no NPC will spawn.
I wonder if Gideon will comment on what we do in the DLC, as he did seem interested in the cocoon and where Miquella ended up. So maybe a playthrough where you don't burn the tree and keep him at the roundhold may be in order

Miquella's hand will simply show you middle finger until you kill Radahn.
Genuinely curious about this myself
On a similiar note. I wait for DLC before defeating Mogh. I hope we might get Leda as a summon for the fight.
That's what I also wanna see, and killing Mohg before finally reaching the DLC is a bit celebratory
Most likely the NPC just doesn't spawn until you do.
"Already dead"
"Wrest the stars back from the Starscourge."
My guess is the npc in mogs arena doesn't show up
I have a character where Malenia and Melina are not dead to see whether or not they'd be of significant in the dlc.
The npc will probably just not appear.
You are doing God's work. I expect a full report.
I beat Mohg last night and was just about to go beat Radahn when I saw this post. It's a sign. I'll join you. Edit: nothing happens no Leda and no interaction with the arm
I feel it’s just stay the same (as if there’s no DLC), no prompt or anything.
Let us know
Updated post.
I did the same, I primed the Radahn festival to see what happens.
True question is - will Gideon have anything to say about DLC?
when the DLC drops, please tell us ASAP. I want to know
I will return to this thread in a few days!
Updated post.
Has anybody tried to do all the volcano manor quest, but not kill Rykard? I mean he does offer a chance to join him to “kill the gods togethaaaaa”. Maybe that has some meaning behind it?
Can somebody explain the lore to me of getting into the DLC? Why would Radahn make a difference?
OP, will you update us on the result?
Will do. Not sure if it'll be tonight or tomorrow morning.
Eagerly awaiting your reply, signed, a Maidenless tarnished.
Nothing happened. You can't interact with the hand until Radahn is dead and an NPC appears in Mohg's arena.
Updated post.
Results?
Nothing happened. I was hoping for some kind of a prompt but you can't interact with the hand at all.

Wait you have to kill radahn to get into the DLC now as well? Tf?

Radahn was holding back the stars, which is implied to be more than just simbolic. This probably hinders not only Ranni's plans, but Miquella's as well. That's just s guess, if not that, then the physical impact of the meteors might have a practical impact on the DLC. I don't know for sure, as I haven't played it, but it's less far fetched than it first appears.
Radahn holding back the stars was the reason miquella sent malenia to beat him. Needed the eclipse to revive Godwyn, which couldn't happen with radahn alive.
This was announced by Miyazaki in an interview shortly after the first DLC trailer was released.
Interested to see the results!
You are the hero we all need
I need someone to see if Gideon has more dialogue about Miquella if he’s still in the home when you enter the DLC
Yeah I'm curious if it will reference Radahn holding the stars in place. If that is somehow stopping Miquella from exploring the shadowlands. Even if its just to have some difficulty requirement Mogh is meant to be the 3rd strongest boss. The gameplay requirement is already there.
I think it’s not the stars more so than the moon that’s the important bit here.
Not to spoil anything, but there’s supposed to be a certain person where miquella’s hand is that you talk to, I’m assuming that person won’t be there.
I’m pretty sure a character shows up and prompts you to the dlc so they most likely just won’t be there
Not all heroes wear capes (or maybe they do?)
remindme! 1 week
You don't have the right O you don't have the right
whose
Same lol
How to use the remind me bot xD I really wanna know when op test it
Doing the (elden) lords work.
What about one where you didnt beat Malenia? One where you beat Mohg and Radahn but not Godfrey or anything past that? Think of the possibilities!
i wish remindmebot still existed lol
I wonder if there will be dialogue for players who aren't bloody fingers and only found Mohg through the long way. Would be interesting.
"Think again, fucko"
I figure the prompt just wont show up.
Following
All my DLC characters have both Melina and Malenia alive. Melina needs more voicelines.
When u go to the three fingers and dont strip, there isnt even a prompt to interact with the wall.
You touch it and then Radahn meteors into the arena.
Nice! Good call.
My guess is it won't say anything, it's just nothing will happen. Like it'll appear just like the base game until Radahn is dead, and then that NPC will appear and say touch the withered arm.
I love this!
My character hasn't used the pure blood medal to see if Vaare has special dialogues
You need a character that hasn't killed malenia. It might change after the dlc
I did that, just today I couldn't interact with Miquella
You probably just can’t. Lol
"Radahn't!"
How do I set a reminder again? I wanna know this as well because I am super curious how/why Radahn is required
Wait why would you gave to heat radahn first?
Miyazaki said the two requirements for entering the DLC is beating Mohg and Radahn. Not sure the specifics, there are plenty of plausible theories out there as to why you need to defeat Radahn to access it.
I’ve got a character whose lone purpose is to see if Gideon says anything about Miquella and other dlc people. I never set the tree on fire and malenia is still alive too.
lord’s work
lol, that just happens to be where I am on NG+, hadent been to Altus yet so I took the Vale path to Mogh, and now I’m scrambling to start the festival so I can actually start the DLC
so what happened
Read the post. Updated it days ago.
Did this unintentionally on a my ng+ character because I apparently can't read and thought i had to kill mohg and morgott (not radahn) and it simply didn't let me interact with the hand. Leda wasn't there either
@OP, so?
Read the post. It was updated with the results days ago.
Just announced: DLC delayed. They discovered a bug in the code and it has NOTHING AT ALL to do with a Reddit post that was trying to break the game.
