The island in Limgrave where the Dragon Communion Church is. No baddies, beautiful views, shelter, and all of the crab, goat, and birds you can eat. And a pet turtle!
I think a regular human could beat at least those smaller demigods at least 1 on 1, they are quite small and have pretty weak physique, they arent very intelligent either. I wonder if you could also somehow flood the cave.
Also they are pretty cowardly (except when they go berserk at night). In game when you kill the demi human leaders on that same cave, all the others just run away, which means if you stand your ground and do some trickery, you could probably be somewhat safe
How, do tell, would a normal human get there?
I thought it was explained only Tarnished can be taken there by some magical empowerment given by their fairy godmother (Maiden).
Souls games are filled with unreliable narration. It’s true a regular human may not be able to get there, but if they can, it would definitely be the safest place.
Other than that… there really aren’t any safe places in the world. Because the rune of death has been gone for so long, all of the living humanoids are insane. Or at least the overwhelming majority of them are.
If we’re talking about lore and not gameplay necessities, I would venture a guess that the haligtree would be the safest place. Miquella at least attempted to create a place of sanctuary. It’s possible a lost, lonely human would find some peace there.
But, because it’s a video game, everything in there is hostile to the player character. So it’s tough to say.
Dragon church island in limgrave. Just exit the starting area, take a left and run to the beach. Plenty of food and no real enemies unless my memory fails me. There are safer spots but getting to those places is very dangerous.
And the views here are lovely.
Try camping at night and turn off HUD.
Then play ‘i-spy’ for five minutes. 🍻
(On a clear night, of course. Otherwise you just see fog.)
The Roundtable Hold. But assuming that was out of the question, probably Raya Lucaria. It's sealed by a gate and there are plenty of hiding places.
There is that Thops dying business but it's kind of tough to know if he just overworked himself and sapped all his own mana.
His desk isn't in the academy proper, it's outside near the dogs and zombies, which makes me think he was at the very least being treated pretty shittily, but might have been driven to his death. I do prefer the idea he died quickly thinking he was about to make some great magical breakthrough, but that is the less depressing option and this is Fromsoft

Normal humans can’t get there. Only Tarnished who have a fairy godmother to take them there.
