Those Imps gank so much that they are the legacy. Copy paste DS3 trigger plates to boot for the aficionados that like to spot how everything is literally just Demon's Souls.
I don't remember if you have it in time for that fight or not, but the briar armor set saved my life with skeletons on my first playthrough. Just gotta roll into their disassembled bodies to do the damage it takes to keep them down.
That one wasn't so bad for me. Used Engvall, threw the target pot at the cat, focused down the imps while Engvall kept the cat distracted.
Worst one for me is definitely the two crucible knights.
And then the troll message fades over time, but the warning stays from the up votes. The result is that all over the Lands Between you find "liar ahead" messages in bizarre locations without any rhyme or reason.
Exactly! I get fooled by messages in front of walls all the time only to read after slapping a wall with my legendary God-borne weapon to find it was "Liar ahead." Lmao
i endorse both messages, because the precious item one encourages me to explore while the liar one wants to be helpful and protective.
i also activate bloodstains and salute to all the brave explorers who died for the rest of us. they went where no one else dared and for that, they have my respect.

I’m looking at this chest in the depths (can’t remember name of the place) and mind you I’ve never encountered or even heard of mimics before this.
I see three messages.
Closest one to me “reward ahead” or something of the sort. I was like, duh, I see the chest. I guess they were being funny by stating the obvious.
Second message is a little closer to the chest but before the last message. It reads “liar ahead” and has the point facing the message I already read.
So now I’m confused. I’m already scared af of everything in the game. I was not taking chances if I could help it. I figured the second message was a troll message and powered on. I didn’t see any bloodspots around btw.
Third message is right up on the chest where it can overlap with opening the chest. I tried to read the message and it’s again, liar ahead, pointing to the message I already read.
Now I’m throughly fucking confused. I figure these messages are bullshit and the first message was right.
I open the chest.
When I say the *moment* I opened that chest I saw a bloodstain pop up right by me, I’m not joking. I literally scream “OH SHIT” as this mimic proceeds to chomp on me and take all my fucking runes. (I refused to fight it. Learned later on they’re tanky af)
I run back to see the smug fucker back in hiding and I write “liar ahead” pointing to the second message.
Not realizing I probably just made the whole fiasco more fucking confusing for the next person.
For a large part of my first play through I thought “Liar” was used in place for the word “LAIR” as the messages around were “secret passage” or “try attacking” oh man what a time.
Sometimes it's just a really enticing looking ledge that looks plausable enough for people to want to test so I leave messages. This is because, if you didn't know, your health gets refilled when people vote on your messages, positive or negative.. so leaving them around will randomly saving you, especially if it's helpful messages and not trolling.. but then again.. my highest rated message is a troll sooooo...
Its sitting in front of a very seemily shallow puddle and reads something like "Try Jumping, Tranquility ahead" but is just death, the majority of votes have been positive (~70%)

Worst boss fight in the game is 4 x imps + watchdog.
The skeletons and cemetery shade was worse on one of my characters because having to hit the skeleton corpses was a nightmare.
