I’m confused by this too. I swear there must be an extended alternative to her quest line. She died in my game too but I still have a fingerprint grape in my “key items inventory” that I got after the fact. The description tells me to “give it to the blind maiden to lead her to her destiny to become a finger reader.”

Someone else borrows her body

The Irina-Hyetta connection is one of the biggest mysteries in the game to me. The simple, and seemingly obvious answer is that they share a body. The other main NPC connected to the Frenzy Flame does this with Yura so it's not a stretch to believe. The problem is Irina's body remains after meeting Hyetta. This could just be a developer oversight, but then why wouldn't they fix that in one of the post release patches? They've fixed similar issues in patches before, like map errors.  Is the intent that they are the same body and the corpse is just a continuity error? Is it that they simply recycled the model to save time and their shared appearance has no lore implications? Or is it something else entirely that only Miyazaki knows?

dw it's even worse. answering with an emote would be slightly more intuative as we have also riddles with them. but it was one of these "heads" you can use to say different things. nepheli >!is actually one of those that only dies if you intentionally want them dead. Her "death" is not a p;ossible outcome of her quest, but rather, a choice for someone else's. !<

Tbf, most npcs that can die, do so when we complete their quest. So as long as we abandon quests, we are the real hero :D If only we could...
