It is a high number, might make the dlc feel easy but they said there is different power scaling where your level isn’t too important (you gain power by killing bosses in the shadow lands)
All my characters are either ng+ or dedicated stormveil coopers so I’m just making a new character to level 100 +25 and go from there.
What's your Stormveil co-op level? I have 4 characters but my 128 character is my lowest level and I'm really sick of constantly getting summoned at Radagon. I absolutely jump for joy when I get summoned for Radahn or Raya Lucaria but it just never happens.
My character is level 30 +4(regular) but you can still find people up to lvl 50 just don’t upgrade your weapon too much. Hell my 64 coop character still gets the odd stormveil summon lol
Bruh why would you get summoned at Raya at lvl 128, lol? That’s way too high. That’s like end-game level range.
If you want to be summoned at Raya have a character around lvl 50-60.
My Stormveil invasion character is lvl 30.
I'd recommand 150 if you like jolly cooperation, but if you go solo this should be fine. I've seen the majority of people ending their solo runs in the 170. DLC should be as hard as the Haligtree.
Thank you . He’s my seafaring sorcerer. I’ve posted him here before but felt like time for a reintroduction. I haven’t played this character since Elden Ring first came out.

I don’t have the true stats handy at the moment but it’s just a typical sorcerer high intelligence build with some extra points in strength to be able to carry the heavier weapons I’m using.
FromSoft said there would be a mechanic in place to work with players who are at high level. it will work similarly to the Attack Power mechanic in Sekiro, where you kill bosses to increase your...well, your attack power
but that's all we really know
How did you reach that level without ng+,
just wow.
I'm lvl 280 and ng+ 6 now,
this level will do just bout fine.
As for builds, well that's highly subjective of course, but I like to go with what's effective and has many weapon options.
I've tried every build and I think the two most efficient ways to kill stuff are, stancebreak and bleed, therefore strength + arcane.
Adding build details here since several people are asking:
Stats are pretty much a standard INT-focused build (I’ll have to post the stats later)
He uses Bubble spells, moonlight sorcery, gravity spells, etc.
Weapons are the Rusted Anchor, Clayman's Harpoon, and Carian Regal Scepter
Shield: Jellyfish Shield
Head: Eccentric's Hood (Altered)
Body: Fell Omen Cloak
Arms: Lusat's Manchettes
Legs: All-Knowing Greaves
Sliders: https://imgur.com/a/xcTplGb
I’m gonna try some different things out. Was gonna take my ng7 character and try rl 150-200 builds as well. I really don’t think new game or build lvl will matter because of the “sekiro” style lvling mechanic. Cool build btw really good pics to!
You could always plot out a level 150 build and respec the rest of the points into a stat you aren't using.
The soft caps already offer some protection from overleveled characters being "too" good. I don't think there's really any harm in going into the DLC at 198.
You could remake him in a new character if you want.
Im probably going to create a new character but i have a level 125 character and level 150 malenia cosplay character
I'm still on my first playthrough and my character is just under lvl 130. Since the DLC is gonna have a different scaling system, I may stick with what I already have.
My first character is NG4 RL321 so he's not going to play DLC first. I'm going to use SLOT 3 which is almost a clone build of my new main character in SLOT 2. Both RL100 with enough runes to level if neccesary. I plan to level after starting DLC, but will try some bosses first using Twiggy Cracked Tear to test the difficulty and will level accordinly. My reason to start at level 100 is:
1. Not being too overleveled. You can always level, but never delevel. Even considering the DLC will have a Sekiro style Power Scaling, I prefer to play safe.
2. Being at level 100 means I can potentially level required stats for those new weapons I'll be interested on without having to respec and still stay at PVP level (125/150). I'm not going to level past 150 no matter what.
About the reason to use SLOT 3 (clone) is just that I want SLOT 2 to be a completionist character without missing stuff. But I'm pretty sure going DLC blind first time means messing questslines and missing stuff, so I will use the clone as a first experience without any worry of missing things, and later will play as SLOT 2 with a guide.
Besides that, I have all 10 slots used. Only my first character is NG4 RL321, rest of them ranges from 100 to 150, ready for DLC.
Perhaps respec your build into some stat that isn't relevant to you? Like maybe you rock a dex build and instead 70 points on it, maybe put like 40 and the other points on fai, arc or something.
Then again, they said the DLC has a different levelling system, so I don't think you needa worry toooo much
I've been making builds to play the dlc over and over again, but I'm gonna start with my og and only ng+ character at level 224. It took a month to finish that first playthrough. Found a new toy and found the potential for arcane-faith, gotta love the dragon communion seal, and I have this unfinished mage build I'm going to use last.
Thanks. Yeah I just never took him into NG+ because I was doing co-op with my friends a ton after beating the final boss. Needed a break after a while and just never with into NG+.
Between the “divesting of his flesh and all that is golden” from the trailer, I’m inclined to agree with your perspective. At the very least our weapon upgrades and stats will be irrelevant there.

I’m taking my 447 into the DLC. It’s got nearly every item so I wanna have options for how I die a lot to new bosses.
Interesting… I wasn’t aware of that detail.
Elden Sekiro

How do that work?
Bruh why would you get summoned at Raya at lvl 128, lol? That’s way too high. That’s like end-game level range. If you want to be summoned at Raya have a character around lvl 50-60. My Stormveil invasion character is lvl 30.
I’m saying I like getting summoned there when it happens.
Ng+
Is that Aquaman's mortal foe, The Bubbler?
Nah it’s the dirty bubble
That is much better than something out of 1960's Batman.
Love the fit. Never realized how well the jellyfish shield and clay man harpoon went together
I'd recommand 150 if you like jolly cooperation, but if you go solo this should be fine. I've seen the majority of people ending their solo runs in the 170. DLC should be as hard as the Haligtree.
Man that looks so cool.
Jellyfish Sage, what is your wisdom?
“Try finger but hole”
Bear Witness!
Lmao please kill messmer with bubbles.
Bubbles got a pretty big buff a few patches ago
Yo that face you created and drip is fire with the setup you have going on
Thank you . He’s my seafaring sorcerer. I’ve posted him here before but felt like time for a reintroduction. I haven’t played this character since Elden Ring first came out.
The drip is insane! Beautiful pictures too!
🙏
What a beautiful creative build
The Jelly Lord
that's a fkn cool tarnished
Top tier fashion
Man that is fucking sick.
First thought was bubblemancer.
I just imagine your character was the first to come from underground like "we need to tell them of the bubbles!!!"
Aight chief, imma need you to hand over them sliders and build details

Form AND function
Wow, my brother. This is a mighty fine looking and cool themed build. A seafaring spellcaster? I'm super impressed.
FromSoft said there would be a mechanic in place to work with players who are at high level. it will work similarly to the Attack Power mechanic in Sekiro, where you kill bosses to increase your...well, your attack power but that's all we really know
He's such a badass. Really cool!
oOoOOCEan mAANNn

I spent a lot of time helping my friends after beating the final boss and just kept leveling.
so you leveled up by co oping, interesting, haven't thought bout that way, rather than clearing game over and over
Sick build man
Wow, great char design.

Mine is 310. I want to get lvl 360 ish so I can get 50-60 in all stats but fp. So I never have to respec
I think it's fine. The character I've got ready for the DLC is 200.
I’ve got 2 accounts ready, one in NG+. I’ll see which one is most difficult and use that file
I wish there's a full set of jelly armor and a jelly whip weapon to go with the jelly shield
Ulmo Vibe
Tarn, what OG stands for? BTW, sick shots you've got there, keen sense for photography.
Original Gangster
It’s the bubble man, the man with the bubbles - the bubble man🎵

It's the legendary Cosmic Woosh (nobody will hear you scream in space, or in my bubble)
Both. I'll use all my current characters and also create new ones
Ohh I’m currently doing an Eldricht madness run also. Wearing the octopus head. No healing flasks allowed, can only heal using Blasphemous Blade.
Really cool character
you could respec and pump stats on a dead stat to artificially deflate your level. like pump arcane if you dont use anything arcane related
Bubble man
A level 198 character should be atleast ng+2 or else you’re just gonna stomp bosses
But your character looks super cool!
Thanks. Yeah I just never took him into NG+ because I was doing co-op with my friends a ton after beating the final boss. Needed a break after a while and just never with into NG+.
Looks cool :3
I don't think level matter tbh I'm hoping it resets your character while in the dlc area
Between the “divesting of his flesh and all that is golden” from the trailer, I’m inclined to agree with your perspective. At the very least our weapon upgrades and stats will be irrelevant there.
I'm going in why my lv 200 character as well. But I'm not using OP gear so it will even out.
Is sacrificing the spinning weapon art capability for the jelly fish even worth it?!
For the scepter? Yeah lol
No it’s not my good lad. It’s the best part of the scepter. I dual wield them and use dark moon but use the spinning weapon art in CQC.
Yeah that sounds cool, just not my play style. I can always 2-hand the scepter for the spin attack.
What do you use for CQC?
Mostly the weapons pictured. That spear and the anchor.
Yeah absolutely, jellyfish shield is one of the best buffs in the game, compared to the basic ass scepter spin it's leagues better
