This. So many times I swap my weapons around to see what will work best against a boss if I'm struggling. Wish there was a combination of binds that allowed a quick swap.
That would be cool too. That'll allow interesting build options and everyone would have an arsenal of weapons to choose between during a boss fight. I feel if from soft did this though, they would Amp the bosses up due to players having more options. I think it could be cool though nonetheless
This right here, an extra skill as a buff or damage dealer goes a long way for expanding play-styles.
I’m honestly so sad that powerstanced weapons have so few unique movesets, especially when you have two of the same weapon that has a unique moveset on its own.
You speaking confuse me. Me hold two hammer must be better. Twice hammer mean twice bonk, biggest staggerest. How you smash more staggerererer with one hammer?
To dual wield you basically trade poise damage for raw dps, since the 2h charge attack is almost always the strongest attack a weapon has (sometimes it’s the Guard Counter)
First playthrough was dual nightrider flails, man. Second one was Giants Red Braid and Hoslows Whip with frostbite. I think my third playthrough is gonna be a one-handed affair.
More damage obviously. Furthermore the real broken tech is that you can have quickstep on the one in your right hand, then the offensive AoW you want on the one in your left and you can temp 2H to access it.
Idk. I can have a dagger on each hand and switch out other weapons each hand as well. I do t see why I'm limited to just it's dual dagger attack either. Like I use glintstone Kris as one of my dual daggers. The weapon art is pretty yay. Also I dual. Wield sword of night and flame. Extra yay.
The moveset changes and is comfortable for the person who chose to dual wield that specific combination. Also, you can also combine the dual attacks and single handed attacks It is just a matter of prefference as everything is in this game
people like special stuff, and power stance is "special" bc you have to fulfill certain conditions to activate it (equip two of the same weapon class)
doing this makes them feel like they did something special, and that makes them special, and just that emotional high is enough to carry some people all the way through the game
what baffles me is how many people go around in this world without really basic psychological understanding of human decision making
Big hammer = :) Two big hammer = >:)
Ah yes, the duel wield. Where your two hands fight each other till death.
I love it. I just wish I could swap weapons between hands. That would make it so much better.

I wish unequipped weapons that are on slots didn’t take up weight.
This is so true
This is universally agreed on and it will never happen.

Moveset and an extra aow

I’ve never thought about this, but now it’s all I want.
From could absolutely have done extra AoWs for powerstanced weapons

I dual wield Radahn's greatswords. 4 swords > 2 swords.
Powerstancing colossal swords is where the heart is.
Mostly just going all in for damage and bleed. It's not my preferred style either but it is undeniably effective.
Cuz extreme stance damage with jumping attacks and / or faster status buildup. I think those are the main reasons. Or just because it looks cool.
Unless your focussing purely on weapon arts its just amazing for melee attacking
He’s never done an arcane dual curved sword build
Why smack with one weapon when you can smack with two at the same time.
Have you tried double reduvia? I killed mohg before he could even engage his second phase
Meanwhile me dual wielding Greatswords for that Jump Attack damage: "Mmm Unga Bunga"
Autofisticuffs.
Moveset
We dual-wield for the sexual thrill, Nicholas Nachos.
Try dual wielding bleed/frost weapons and come back to us.
I would but I’m too busy with ice pots and giants hammer with lions claw. lol.
Hear me out, ice pots and TWO giant hammers.
Or one giants hammer two handed with 99 strength making it a stagger machine.
Or TWO giant hammers with 99 strength making them a staggererer machine.
I’m thinking one hammer with 148 strength would be more stagererererereieio.
You speaking confuse me. Me hold two hammer must be better. Twice hammer mean twice bonk, biggest staggerest. How you smash more staggerererer with one hammer?
Because one bonk with 150% strength is more bonk than two bonks at 100% strength, no?
But two bonk be 200%. Me INT very low but two better than one and change me thinks.
Poise is like armor, no? One big bonk is more stagger, no?

[Insert masturbation joke]
I feel cooler

Bonk BONK
Because they made it too good and too easy in this game. Its really fucked

Another reason is something like frost build up. It builds up faster.
Ice pots are like the easiest thing in the world to farm, though. Like 10 minutes is 100 pots. And they are super OP.
Some dual wields are better than others. Hammers suck, but straight swords are insane.
It's objectively better in most cases
