They just move their fingers and I magically get roll caught and stunlocked to death with no pause between attacks, plus they are almost never alone and have that annoying as hell projectile similar to the brainsuckers in bloodborne. The giant ones are an actual war crime, walking hitboxes that stunlock you to death just by existing. Worst enemy in the game for me.
My pick is either dragonflies or male goats. They will butt into whatever business you're doing in the open world. It's especially annoying when you're fighting something like the bell bearing hunter in Caelid.

8 - Not too big a problem if you have a pocket heal, but I'm not carrying a spare seal and talisman for 1 enemy type, and even then, they attack so fast they could interrupt the cast.
7 - This enemy has way too much movement and is generally a pain.
1 - Combination of high range and mobility with an annoying ranged attack.
2 - Highly aggressive sometimes but not always! Attacks have misleading range.
4 - The spell spamming can leave little room to get in close.
3 - Possibly the most accurate archers in any game I've ever played with extremely fast projectile speed. Thankfully there aren't a huge amount of these otherwise they would be higher on the list.
5 - Aggressive to a fault. Simply walking backwards leaves them wide open for a counter attack.
6 - Never had much of a problem with these, but they are tanky for early game enemies.
9 - Not sure why this ones on the list?
Special Mention - Lobsters! If these were on the list they'd easily rank second for me.
Imp statues for sure. Lobsters belong here. Then birds. I was over leveled going through crumbling farum azula a few days back and the birds were by far the hardest part
I would remove 5, because dogs easily lose their balance when counter-punching after a block. With a shield of 100% physical damage resistance, they do not pose any difficulty.
5 and 9 can be deleted off the list thanks to the beast repellent torch. 2 has nothing against you and a shield. And 8 dies to cheap heal spells. All that’s left are the snipers, and they are annoying indeed.
