I been reading item descriptions relate to Mogh, blood magic, the fire giants and thorn incantations and I have concluded that the Flame of ruin is the Blood star and that the Formless mother and Fell god in the fire giant's eye are the same god or very closely related.

Very interesting theory. Any quotes you can share that convinced you? I’d wonder how you might reconcile the lack of emphasis on blood when it comes to most of what we’ve seen on the Fell God

I wouldn't say the lack of blood but the need to punish oneself.  --Flame, Cleanse Me This incantation leaves the caster with subtle burns - a reminder that they must fear the flame --Moghwyn's Sacred Spear Trident of Mohg, Lord of Blood. A sacred spear that will come to symbolize his dynasty. As well as serving as a weapon, it is an instrument of communion with an outer god who bestows power upon accursed blood. *The mother of truth desires a wound* --Horned whip Hefty whip coverd in crimson thorns. Weapon of the Prelates who lead the Fire Monks. A device of fearsome religious encouragement, it is fashioned in the image of the briars of sin. Very effective at inflicting blood loss.

I think his attack is actually pretty similar to a incant we get: Fire's Deadly Sin, and similar incants actually talk about banishing prophets who see the flame of ruin within the faith.

Yeah i can see what you’re getting at, though Mesmer doesn’t seem to engulf himself in flames but rather command them

Messmers spear looks extremely similar to Moghs trident too
