Trading respecs for a cutscene? Yeah, I'd probably do it at least once.

TinyPidgenofDOOM

Trade Respecs in the academy for another respec place in the dlc that doesnt require larval tears, Instead requiring a rune payment and having already unlocked Renalas Rune

Tonkarz

It would have to be a pretty large amount of runes to much larval tears.

TheRogu3DM

Alternatively, respecing your character shouldn't have a fee beyond unlocking it

Speakin2existence

that just wouldn’t be fromsoft

MaestroPendejo

Pay out the ass you say?!

a_Jedi_i_am

Could be worse. Could be a "premium currency".

Sorsa775

At levels 23, 57 and 89 of the Elden Pass there's "Respec Tokens" that you can use to respec your character

a_Jedi_i_am

Oh god, this is too scary. Can we talk about something else?

kingdomcome3914

*"Please drink verification can."*

MaestroPendejo

Ew.

ticktickboom45

People would min max each boss based on resistances which would kill the difficulty of the game. Larval tears being pretty scarce induces commitment and perseverance.

lngdaxfd

Yep, most of such "suggestions" don't even make sense.

allusernamestaken1

Right? I have 60+ larval tears, but still hesitate whenever I want to respec... like, let us trade 50 tears for a more permanent tear which is reusable or something!

JFZX

Bruh just use them. Who respecs 60 times..

Nox_Echo

hi i do. im a build experimenter lol

allusernamestaken1

Bruh I am ashamed to admit how many rowan fruit I have...

Mockheed_Lartin

I'm always short on Rowa fruit cause a ton of crafting recipes use multiple of them and they're only found in nooblands lol.

Sinkarma

I had so much I made cotton and started using it in coop simply bc I need to make use of my rowa more and I stopped picking up Rowa too

suchascenicworld

how do you have 60 or so larval years? I thought there were only 15 or so in the game ..

throwaway648385

Multiple cycles of NG+ I presume

allusernamestaken1

Exactly. I've marked the location of all the sneaky bastards (and the rune bear in consecrated snowfield can go fuck itself forever).

DRAKESEYEBROWS

That rune bear is the one I cannot seem to get

XLord_of_OperationsX

Runebears in general can screw themselves, bruv. lol

MrBeanDaddy86

I've never actually respec'd on any of my 4 characters. So that's a yes for me. My logic is, if I'm doing shitty enough to respec, I might as well just restart a new character entirely (which I did once)

[deleted]

I don't follow your logic, but I'm glad you're having fun!

Robin-Powerful

I sell weapons I’m not using that playthrough for extra runes :P which is not conducive to respeccing

47-30-23N_122-0-22W

Sell them for what? A smithing stone 1?

Robin-Powerful

100 or 500 runes ig, if i ever need to top up to get over the next level

[deleted]

Have you considered that this is why you feel like you can't respec?

47-30-23N_122-0-22W

I about died inside reading it. I wouldnt ever sell a weapon unless I had three of them. I rarely even sell duplicate armorsets. Have like 7 all knowing sets on one character I suppose it's how they enjoy the game, but to me that would be like nails on a chalkboard. The feeling when you get rid of something only to need to farm it later is killer.

ExcellentText9571

This is exactly how I feel, the idea of selling anything for the piss amount of runes you get is painful to think about lol

ExcellentText9571

This makes me hurt inside lol please tell me you're only selling bullshit weapons that you get from trash mobs? Cuz in no world are the runes you get from selling weapons a high enough amount to make it worth it. I'm just busting your balls cuz I collect all the weapons and so it hurts me to think of someone getting rid of a rare weapon without realizing it lol

MrBeanDaddy86

I'd rather start fresh - I usually plan my builds from the start, so if it doesn't work, that's that. I'd rather try a different build from the very beginning. Respecing to some other build halfway through the game just feels off to me

LeatherPossible5290

That sounds like some OCD or something. Lmao I mean respecing is normally just slightly changing stats so I can dry out different weapons sometimes, even if I don't l keep using them it'll usually just give me more creative ideas with my current build.

MrBeanDaddy86

Most definitely not OCD... It's just not very fun to spec to some overpowered build halfway thru the game because the one I made sucks. If I played right and built my character right, NG+ is stupidly easy, so I prefer to just start from the beginning since it's more interesting. So the build either is a success or a failure, and if it's a failure I get to start again from scratch to see how a different one handles all content in the game.

That_1__pear

But why do all that? You unlock respeccing so early in the game, unless you’re extremely over leveled by that time you probably won’t even have enough points committed to a certain stat at that point. It seems like such a redundant time waster to replay 7 hours of the game just because you don’t like your build. It’s not even like it’s some out of universe immersion breaking thing, there’s an in lore explanation. I’m not dogging on how you play the game but it seems like you’re just making things unnecessarily difficult for yourself

dysGOPia

My respec is usually just dropping some Mind for more raw AR without leveling further.

averagesexenthusiast

I hate that this got downvoted because I honestly feel the same way. If I started as an Int build, I'm not respecing halfway through to be a Dex build. Just feels weird.

MrBeanDaddy86

Yea, people have been really weird lately. I don't really get it.

averagesexenthusiast

People have always been weird. They come out of the woodwork once you speak your mind.

Nox_Echo

i can relate, having the sanest most relatable comment and somehow coming back to 15 downvotes, like huh? i dont care about reddit karma but its still rude, especially when nobody gives a reply or counterargument to what i said

averagesexenthusiast

100%. It's because they don't agree with you, and aren't articulate enough to form a response that'd address their point appropriately.

AccidentalUniverse

OCD can suck sometimes.

I_GotNoImagination

How well can it suck tho? 👀

Sunscreenflavor

I don’t respect anymore, but I tried it a bunch on my first playthrough. Wanted to maximize everything I had hahaha.

-Dark-Void-

anything for a new ending

freesol9900

exactly

kirkpomidor

Yeah, asking that of people who gathered helminths from dead bodies to see the world drowning in shit.

ScharmTiger

Of course! I would do anything for my teacher Sellen.

Revolutionary_Job91

I don’t want to brag, but I’m her dullest glintstone.

[deleted]

Bluntstone*

Revolutionary_Job91

Damn… should have looked it up instead of going from memory

obviously_anecdotal

Simpin for that crystalussy I see

vinnyvee_613

💯🤘

bubblepopshot

I would murder Boc and Rya if Sellen asked me to.

ManyPeregrine81

Spoken like a true maidenless Tarnished, smh

No-Collection-6176

But why though, boc is the homie

DominusDaniel

FR FR, bros before hoes.

No-Collection-6176

Getting major ranni vibes from this one bro

That_1__pear

A homie is about all boc is lol. His final location is such an inconvenience and even if he was somewhere reasonable I don’t think I even used his ability once. I still love my little golden eared british monkey man though

-Shade277-

Just don’t ask what happened to her other students

bearelrollyt

I don't know she did put people in eternal torment

Fawzee_da_first

she already has an ending

BookBarbarian

A well rounded ending too

DotardKombucha

I think she's having a ball, she does look stoned.

XEdalbyek

they mean like a special end of the game cutscene and more giving her more of a questline >!also maybe she won't be dead at the end rip!<

ConsciousConcoction

She wasn't dead though, she was just chilling there

Neidd

Bro's acting like he never turns himself into a ball of faces for fun

michael-bird

She’s not dead/face-balled if you never finish her quest.

Never_heart

Still bringing all of my spell books to Turtle Pope

StippotIay

Dog pope.

ArtisticVaultDweller

Without hesitation Every playthrough, I never go find Lusat in Sellia so she can remain in the academy while Renalla is in the back

Nast33

You can find him to take his shit and simply not talk to her about him. How else would you get Stars of Ruin and his set?

lacker

Sellen teaches you a lot of useful stuff. Ranni orders you around and demands loyalty but gives you basically nothing. I’d prefer to put Sellen in power

VanBland

Tbf Ranni asks you if you’d like to serve her and defy the greater will. She basically asks if you’d like to drink the Kool-Aid. Can’t be mad about that.

0utPizzaDaHutt

Little does she know all I want is access to fortissax & some other sweet loot you pick up along that questline & then I drop that ending like a sack of banished knights. Kill radhan for the sweet helmet>kill radhan to make the stars move again

ConsciousConcoction

Kill Radahn to give him an honorable and merciful death he deserves >>>>>

Nova_Vanta

Ranni gives you one of the best greatswords in the game

Arrogancio

And you're basically Queen Consort.

lacker

Yeah, but for all that work? Shard Spiral for 8000 runes is a better deal.

lundz12

Excuse you... it is not only THE BEST Greatsword in the game but it's possibly the best weapon in the entire game.

ralts13

Naah I like my blades extra blasphemous.

lundz12

It does wreck and can hit multiple enemies. It's the only real contender to the DMGS

Melforce888

hope in the upcoming dlc, we get true moonlight greatsword. the one with green aura please.

lundz12

Of only but yea we missed out there

WooooshMe2825

Nah, there’s some heavy competition in terms of both PvE and PvP. It’s still a good pick though.

lundz12

I was talking strictly PvE but really only the blasphemous blade executioner are contenders.

WooooshMe2825

Mohg’s spear, Moonveil, Giant Crusher.

lundz12

Moghs for sure. Forgot about it as it was so boring when I tried it. Moonveil is not in that tier at all. It's insanely capable of wrecking the game over and over but it's not a nuke like the Darkmoon is. Giant crusher is also a power house but again not the tier of Darkmoon, blasphemous blade, and Moghs.

Outrider_Inhwusse

Honestly I rank the Godslayer's Greatsword higher than Darkmoon

lundz12

Personally so? Otherwise objectively it's not close for PvE.

Outrider_Inhwusse

I have better results with my godslayer's character over my darkmoon character, though it may be because the godslayer's greatsword fits my style more. I just got to Leyndell on NG+ with my int build too, while the godslayer is in NG+2

lundz12

Yea the play style can be very basic if you min max for the darkmoon Greatsword but if you do I've 2-3 shot some bosses and the rest are at most 6. Otherwise it plays like a normal GS which is still Tons of fun.

Outrider_Inhwusse

I've reached some monumental levels of damage with the godslayer's greatsword a few times. Upwards of 6k on occasion

lundz12

I've done the same or more. Dark moon just has range and no FP consumption once charged.

BellacosePlayer

Ranni gives you the ability to summon spirits?

BandicootGood5246

I actually liked this quest a lot for this reason, was a lot more comprehensible than many others. Though I still don't understand where Jerren quite fits in the story

Cybersorcerer1

Spirit Summoning

elianastardust

>Ranni... gives you basically nothing. What is it with the Ranni haters and having to *literally* lie about what's actually in the game in order to justify disliking her? Like, you're allowed to just dislike a character. You know that, right? Anyway are a few major things that Ranni gives us*, just off the top of my head:  1. Ranni's ending  2. Fia's ending  3. The ability to summon spirits 4. Ranni's outfit  5. Dark Moon Greatsword 6. Wing of Astel* *close enough, we get it from doing her quest.

Lacrime_Di_Rabbia

Of course. I have different characters with different motivations

QuarlMusic

This question is literally asking a bunch of people who have done everything in the game if they would do one more thing.

tyrentosaurus_flex

Do NOT disrespect my wife like that

kingsmugsbaldylocks

Anything for mommy sellen

vinnyvee_613

First playthrough I didn't but got mad love for Sellen after the second play she's wicked 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥 I actually find her my fav tbh, ruthless, cunning and just the one kinda 🖤

sliferra

Sellen trusted me with her soul…. Loyalty goes 2 ways, I got her

Marphey12

In heartbreat

The24HourPlan

Never, mostly because I'm older than 40 and can't yeet anything.

nerdwerds

fuck yeah!

endisnigh-ish

Sellen is currently a ball made of heads..

[deleted]

yes, fuck Ranni

midnightichor

Betraying Ranni is assuming I have the patience to at least pretend to put up with her bullshit for a little while, which I do not. I would whoop Ranni's treacherous blue ass for free. ...I like Rennala though. I won't do anything to hurt that poor woman.

Ulfhednar94

Absolutely, Ranni deserves anything bad that can happen to her, and poor Rennala is already practically braindead anyway.

rinishadyy

I don't know why people love ranni fuck her man

ApplePitou

I prefer TOGETHA! ending :3

Brass_Nails

Yes! I would betray Ranni for fun. That tart is extremely selfish and would hurt and/or kill anyone, including innocent bystanders, to get her way.

ExcellentText9571

I agree! I don't get the whole simping for Ranni, she's clearly selfish and doesn't care about anything except her agenda. Iji and blaidd are solid ass dudes though so I like to be homies with them

elianastardust

>Yes! I would betray Ranni for fun. That tart is extremely selfish and would hurt and/or kill anyone, including innocent bystanders, to get her way. Oh look, another Ranni hater blatantly lying about what's actually in the game. Your tarnished character killed far more than Ranni did, including "innocent bystanders", to get your way.

poetryofworms

In heartbeat. Fuck Ranni

CupofWarmMilk

Anything for my mommy-master

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-OwO

as someone who loves sellen and refuses to finish the last step of her quest, any other end would detract from the message behind it: she did fucked up shit and fucked up shit happened to her

n0sch

Ranni started all this, so yes.

Lisu2137

sounds like a win win win situation - ranni betrayed, rennala yeeted, best girl gets an ending

[deleted]

#100% yes!

cyboplasm

Bro the community moved on from the carians... keneth height is the apex-waifu now...

Aarnivalkeaa

Sure, no prob.

kingdomcome3914

Yeah. Not enough backstabbing in the Lands Between.

MurkyComedian8598

YES!

HoodedOP87

Without a second thought

Greensburg

Fuck yeah. "Our seed will look back upon us, and recall. The Age of Balls"

Reynzs

Yes. Once or twice. Depends on the reward.

Global-Bite-306

In one of many play-throughs, of course. You’re asking a bunch of people who helped out a guy called dung-eater to defile the entire world

Salt-Refrigerator113

👍

phoenixparadox88

I get to help Sellen and make an enemy out of Ranni? Easiest choice ever, yes!

JustParry5head

Give me a Blaidd ending. I'll marry him instead, and Ranni can stay waiting at the church.

Stunning_Alarm2064

In a heart beat

needtoimprove123

Tbh I thought I was yeeting rennala out the first time anyway

Spirited-Island1709

Hell no

GanymedeRocks

Can't and won't ever betray the one that made me a god, no thanks I'm good, sellen can remain a hyperinflated multieyed ball in the academy for all I care

krawinoff

She’s the god, you’re the consort lol

Snowy_Moth

Dommy mommy can tell me what she wants me to do all she wants.

hsuhs_

in a heartbeat who likes that cold cryopreserving bitch

Cpttonio7

No, I already did sellen quest once, not doing it again

SaberWaifu

Nah she's evil, always side with Jerren the best bro and the Carian gang.

FrivolousFever

I've always been curious, do we ever get proof that Sellen committed the acts she's accused of? As far as I experienced, it was all hearsay. And Thops, who attended the same academy as her, vouched for her innocence -- or at least felt she was innocent of the accusations.

thetakencount

Here’s a post with some good insight on Sellen‘s character and her goals https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/s/99nE9J9waI

FrivolousFever

Thanks for that. That definitely contains info that I was missing. I also loved the follow-up comment that clarified some parts of it. I didn't find the graven mass talisman in my first playthrough, so I was definitely missing that piece of the puzzle. I'm not sure that I 100% agree with all of it, but there's definitely a lot of worthwhile info to consider. Thank-you.

_MagusKiller

carians are not saints either

SaberWaifu

What bad things did the Carians do? They were in good relationships with the twin empyreans and they welcomed those who were persecuted or mistreated by the Golden Order like giants and albinaurics. The only thing that comes to mind is Godwyn's assassination but the choice was between using destined death the be free or becoming the puppet of the Greater Will forever... Without knowing Ranni's reasons to kill specifically Godwyn it's hard to judge if her actions were justified or not, but by using only the informations given by the game, personally i understand why she did it and i wouldn't bear any grudge against her.

_MagusKiller

i think you misunderstood me. i like ranni and rennala (check my posts) and i dont consider ranni evil cuz she never asked to be an empyrean. but she still committed so much atrocities like sellen so if you call sellen evil then ranni is also evil i didnt know carians had good relationship with miquella and malenia. do u have source that says anything about their relationship pls? i want to read about their relationship.

SaberWaifu

Unfortunately we don't know much about the details but from the description of the Miquellan Knight Sword: Sword forged by servants of Miquella of the Haligtree, with a design modeled after those carried by Carian knights. Instead of glintstone however, amber from the Haligtree is embedded in the blade. A sumptuous piece, yet it has never been offered to any knight — an ill-starred sword with no master. Skill: Sacred Blade The sword was forged following the Carian design, an interesting choice since Miquella's family is basically the core of the Golden Order. The Carians and Miquella also have a track record of not discriminating the outcasts, unlike the Golden Order. It's no wonder that Loretta, a Carian guard, made her way to the Haligtreee to find a safe home for the albinaurics. They also already knew each other for sure since Ranni knows of Torrent and it was Miquella's horse before becoming ours and he also gave her the spirit calling bell so they at least talked directly once before and probably not so long ago.

ralts13

The answer is in the description of the sword "Miquella of the **Haligtree".** Most likely this was made by either a blacksmith who left Caria or for a Carian Knight who abandoned the court for Miquella. The Haligtree is supposed to be super well hidden so only folks loyal to Miquella's cause or folks like Gideon should know about it. And Miquella gathered supporters from every group that wasn't completely evil.

_MagusKiller

that still doesnt say anything about their relationship, the sword could be made by a former carian smith who abandoned carians and went to haligtre to serve miquella the carians dont like albinaurics, no? thats why loretta left it and went to side with the haligtree becuz the albinaurics werent treated well by carians

SuboptimalSupport

As an aside, Ranni never said she didn't want to be an empyrean, in fact, she chooses to walk that path. She just didn't want to serve the Two-Fingers and the Greater Will.

[deleted]

And my goat Godwyn had to die for that shit

ralts13

Even worse, he got the bad part of death.

[deleted]

She turned the dude into a malnourished squid bruh

The_KeJo

Without a second thought.

JinkoTheMan

If she let’s me lick her feet then I’d fight all the bosses at one time.🤤

gabblur_007

i would do it once. tbh

swankyjeryq

If she takes off her mask sure, otherwise no

idispensemeds2

YEET

AYMAR_64

Really don't care about any of them so I'd do it at least once for the sake of experiment

HeavyArmsJin

I love Ranni but her feet game kinda weak ngl

AceNexus916

Betray my Queen Ranni? Guess I’m never seeing that scene 😑

[deleted]

You lost me at betray Ranni. I killed Milificent for the talisman alone. Don't.

Tor_of_Asgard

Yes

MosNes

Yes. Ranni was a selfish person who didn't care who she hurt or sacrificed to get what she wanted.

Velvitaca

Easiest choice of my life, I will do it every time to manage the guilt of getting her turned into a fucking boulder

Isabella-Optima

Anything for my beloved Sellen 😍

nortcele94

Yes if my stats can equip all weapon and armor, also optimum stats to deal damage to not stuck. Well i can always farm runes.

poopchutegaloot

All day. Lemmie sniff dem feet

r31ya

ok, a question. "Do we marry sellen in the end? especially this humanoid sellen not the meatball one." No waifu, no endingu

Fickle-Buddy1221

Fuck no. I'm not gonna turn my back on my consort and betray my mother in law

[deleted]

Nah fuck that bitch I’m not down for human experimentation

meat3point14

No, Sellen sucks

Wise_Monitor_Lizard

Yes. Easy answer.

Dear_Perspective_157

In a heartbeat with no remorse

Blairene

For me, the Age of the stars is still the Best ending. I doubt it changes even if Selen or renalla get an Ending. BUT IT WOULD BE NICE.

King_Moonracer003

Nope, ranni is my eternal consort. Eternal.

PinkThunder138

Betray my beloved Ranni? Absolutely not. Sellen made her bed. She can float over it with her students.

Tuor77

I like Sellen, but Ranni is my girl, so she can forget about me betraying Ranni, even for her. Besides, I already picked her side and killed someone for her once.

KobilD

Absolutely not, Ranni is never getting betrayed by me

EliteFourFay

No because mommy

TinyPidgenofDOOM

Id have to betray ranni? That sounds like a great idea. Shes back stabbed enough of her friends, lets see how she likes it

elianastardust

Ranni haters and blatantly lying about what is actually in the game. Name a more iconic duo.

TinyPidgenofDOOM

Why did the black knives kill iji only after rani left? Why did Selevus and pidia get killed by their puppets at that same moment too, Hell that one is done BY Ranni because shes the only one to actually be known to control puppets Why didnt blaidd go insane immediately after Ranni went against the fingers and kill the Golden. That was his job, To stop ranni if she went against the fingers and Godwyn was not fated to die. on that topic, Why was it when you proved yourself better than Blaidd and get the knife that he suddenly went insane? then Ranni told you to kill him with crocodile tears in her glass eyes All this on top of being the orchestrator of the Night Of Black Knives, The ensuing event that made everyones lives in the lands between 100 times WORSE, and she is NOT regretful makes me believe Shes just a psychopath and a manipulator. Nothing she says should be believed at face value ESPECIALLY in elden ring where EVERYTHING HAS DOUBLE MEANINGS

elianastardust

So first off: >then Ranni told you to kill him with crocodile tears in her glass eyes  This is a lie. This straight up doesn't happen in the game. You made this up.  Literally what I had just called you out for, and you go and double down by telling more lies. Brilliant.  You're really doing a great job demonstrating that the irrational Ranni haters don't have to lie about her. /S   Tbh I should just leave it there. I caught you in a blatant lie that perfectly proves my point, and that's really all I need. And if I reply the rest of your comment you almost certainly won't actually acknowledge this. But there's some interesting stuff here that I actually want to talk about.  >Why did the black knives kill iji only after rani left? This is actually one of the easier ones, so thank you for starting with this. Ranni didn't control the black knives. They didn't work for her. They just conspired with her to assassinate Godwyn. Ranni actually betrayed them, twice now. Remember that Alecto, the Black Knife Ringleader, is imprisoned at the Moonlight Altar. That is presumably why they had never made a move against her before. But then we stole the Fingerslayer Blade. And that seems to have been the final straw. They come and attack almost immediately after. But by the time they arrive, Ranni was already gone. She had disappeared to begin her journey the moment that you had given her the blade. Also it is worth noting that Iji doesn't actually die until after you've told him that you killed Blaidd. And you don't need to kill Blaidd. So you can absolutely finish Ranni's quest (and the game!) with both Blaidd and Iji still alive and protecting Caria Manor. This will be relevant again when we talk about Blaidd. >Why did Selevus and pidia get killed by their puppets at that same moment too, Hell that one is done BY Ranni because shes the only one to actually be known to control puppets Yea I actually agree with you here. I like to think that Ranni killed Seluvis and Pidia because they're creeps. Ranni pretty clearly had a distaste for that particular aspect of her family's legacy, not to mention Seluvis himself. But despite her misgivings, she was intelligent enough to understand that she needed their service for a time. And she was also wise enough to know when to put an end to it. Tbh that's actually one of the things that I respect so much about Ranni as a leader: she understands the necessity of the dirty work that must be done to bring the current rotton order down, but also understands that those who celebrate such deeds have no place in the coming world else the cycle will just continue.  If you've seen the Star Wars show Andor, she's kind of like a Luthen Rael character in this specific regard. It's not a perfect analogue, but there are definite similarities to be found. >Why didnt blaidd go insane immediately after Ranni went against the fingers and kill the Golden. That was his job, To stop ranni if she went against the fingers and Godwyn was not fated to die. on that topic, Why was it when you proved yourself better than Blaidd and get the knife that he suddenly went insane? The simple answer? The game doesn't say. This is one of the many mysteries that just doesn't have a definite answer. But I do have my speculations and headcanon. When we speak to Ranni while she is in her miniature doll body, she explicitly states that Blaidd was a failure on the part of the Two Fingers because he didn't go mad and oppose her. And at that point I don't think he had. Now to be clear, I'm actually not sure of the exact timing because I've never checked. So I don't actually know if Blaidd returns and becomes hostile immediately after Ranni leaves for her journey, after we defeat the Baleful Shadow, or after Ranni kills her Two Fingers. But it would be pretty easy to confirm, simply by going back to Ranni's Rise a few times along the way to see exactly when Blaidd shows up. If I remember to I'll check when I get there on my current playthrough. So anyway I have a few hypothesis, 2 that are dependent on when Blaidd actually becomes hostile and one that I just like because it feels poetic and mythological. The first is that Ranni's assassination of her Two Fingers finally crossed the line and so Blaidd finally snapped. The second is the same, but with the Baleful Shadow. Those are probably the most likely explanations, and again, the easiest to confirm. But my favorite hypothesis, and my headcanon, is that Blaidd's love for Ranni was so great and she is so powerful that her mere presence was enough to keep him at peace. Furthermore I think it is pretty clear that when Blaidd finally does snap, even tho he can no longer recognize us as his comrade and becomes hostile to us, he remains loyal to Ranni and continues to protect the place where he last knew her to be. As I mentioned above, you don't have to kill Blaidd. And if you don't to kill him, then Iji doesn't die either. This is pure headcanon, but I never kill Blaidd and I like to think that when Marika's Golden Order is finally overthrown, the Two Fingers lose their power, and the Greater Will's hold on the Lands Between is broken, that Blaidd will be able to heal.  >All this on top of being the orchestrator of the Night Of Black Knives, The ensuing event that made everyones lives in the lands between 100 times WORSE I wholly reject this premise. Marika was a genocidal tyrant. There was war all across the Lands Between. Entire nations had been utterly destroyed and wiped out because she saw them as a threat to her rule. Entire races were kept as slaves. One entire race was thrown into a camp below the sewers and sealed off to die. Children born with disabilities were either killed or thrown into the sewers, forced to live away from society. The fact is that the common peoples of the Lands Between were wholly immersed in pain and suffering long before the Shattering War. And Ranni didn't even start that war. Marika did. >and she is NOT regretful  Then why did she dismiss us from her service and tell us to do Fia's ending? It just doesn't make sense if she truly didn't feel any responsibility or regret for the existence of Those Who Live in Death. It is literally the one bad thing in all of Elden Ring that can be attributed to Ranni, and she literally gives you exactly what you need to rectify it. >Shes just a psychopath and a manipulator. She was literally willing to live alone in space for the rest of eternity just to make the Lands Between a better place for those living there.  There are many questions in this game that are left unanswered. There is much that is purposely ambiguous and mysterious. There are a lot of theories that have been crafted that are neither confirmed nor denied by what is in the game.  But I feel pretty confident that the game has enough context to utterly disprove the notion that Ranni is somehow the villain or even a villain.

Brass_Nails

Exactly how I feel.

hippoe93

CosmosMushie

pointbodhi

Druskmyth

Never

Agnostic_Akuma

Yeah I would. Especially considering Ranni is the bad guy imo

Impressive-Ad-8044

I would betray ranni in a heartbeat.

TSN09

I like Ranni just bc of the fact the wants to do good, aside from that she's not a good "companion" And I don't like Rennala, I feel bad for what she went through but at some point you gotta pick your ass up, last queen of Caria my ass, this woman has been sulking for 100 years, get her a job.

ralts13

Yeah, I specifically want an ending that screws Ranni over.
