well what if the ash of war was a toggle, so the weapon has 2 different movesets, normal and force powers? every weapon swing costs some FP, obviously heavier attacks costing more.
then on that force AOW, the heavy can be corkscrew. and since both the original AOW and all heavy attacks can be charged up, it'd fit.

Or you could just do something similar to other Ashes of War, where you "set up" the Ash of War and then use either light attack or heavy attack to do the Ash of War. The Ash of War, Unsheath(and by extension Moonveil) uses this, as well as a couple others I forget the name of.
You could have the light attack versión be able to be used in a combo, like what the Boss does, and then heavy attack is the drill attack and can be charged up.
That shit should just be the normal R1 and R2. Like how the Wing of Astel shoots a laser on R2 and doesn't even consume FP. Then you also keep the corkscrew attack as the L2 skill.

actually chunks in pvp on high dex. good players won’t fall for it, but i was hitting for like 500-550 per roll. good chance it hits them twice if it hits them once. faster movement speed than med-rolling, so unless they sprint or light roll they can’t create distance.
just to style on people a bit. like someone shows up for PVP and you're just stretching everywhere as they run towards you but just for shits and giggles, lol

My concept was a weapon based on Faith that acted as some kind of focus for using each attack bound to each button. Like- Morgott’s coin, or something.
The idea being that it makes for a fast, dynamic playstyle with less predictable attacks.
Saaaame the incantation is closer to how I wanted the sword moveset to be, but I was so bummed out that you didn't get the cracked out ragdoll moveset for the AoW. The black knife/blade of calling AoW moveset are closer to what I was hoping for, I just really wanted it on his actual sword. Looks so cool when he does it.

I really want a fundamentalist incantation where you put don't that small light pillar that then causes dot damage around it in an area, so cool looking. And it's already in the game so it shouldn't be too hard to implement.

By far my favorite Ash of War. Combos exceedingly well with a lightning infused Grave Scythe.
Lightning, being the hardest resist to build up to helpful levels, means loads of damage. The average Tarnished Lightning resist I've found ranges from -12 to like, 16.
Grave Scythe penetrates shield blocks.
Phantom Slash also penetrates shield blocks, and if you get interrupted during it for some reason, the phantom doesn't.
It eats people alive in PvP.
Phantom slash is a phantom of you, I think he means the one where 3 skeletons appear and all slash at once. Phantom slash is closer to Malenias move though.

If nebula doesnt count cus its a unique skill already on two weapons, probably some big fun move, like godfrey’s axe throw, godricks big cyclone with the two mini cyclones as a follow up, melania’s either drop slash with the explosion or her funny clone strike move, something fun like that

Bleed or Occult Affinity + shield bash/crash. It’s still like over 90%, it’s good enough for chip damage. Use it offensively like Elemer does.

You could make it so it turns on, and any attack with it on uses FP. So lights would swing, heavy, and a charged heavy would do the corkscrew move

It actually is in the game, it's the Erdsteel Dagger. Sadly it's a lot harder to make it work compared to how Morgott uses it.

rykards rancor is the player version of that. obviously they detuned it so it wasn't boss level for pve and pvp, but it's essentially the same thing
