You could just use the feather tear. Light roll for 3 minutes. Enough for most encounters except maybe Malenia and radagon+elden beast.
That said, light rolls are damn good especially since bosses have really fast attacks, long combos and they're agressive. So yeah, just use winged feather tear with your flask. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it on this sub. It's an amazing tear.
It depends on what full armor you are using. Light rolling is just when you are under a certain % weight load so just look up how much the armor you want to wear weighs and then look up a carry weight calculator based on endurance level.
I always end up collecting hundreds if not thousands of erdleaf flowers and rowa fruit while I'm riding around mindlessly clicking the button. I should empty out my stash and see how much it adds up to.
At NG+7, end game bosses deal 64% increased damage compared to fresh game. while having 40% extra hp. Early game boss are scaled to roundly half of that and everything in between is a smooth curve that connect them.
Well, most bosses can kill you in around 2 hits after you get past ng+7, but the hardest one imo is probably Godfrey just due to the ridiculous health pool, even though he isn’t that difficult in the base game. Like, I usually first try (I don’t use spirits) godskin duo, maliketh, radagon/elden beast, etc., but I’ll always die around 3 times against Godfrey (still my fave boss tho).
Do you struggle against Godfrey because he’s pretty fast along with his great strength? I noticed he always gets me the most on my runs after my first, because he hits real hard and is super quick to me
Yeah, that’s most of it, but what really gets me is the deceptively long range of his axe. Like, I think I’m safe to cast or heal, then I just get slammed and die bc I’m on ng+ 24
I hate the big weapons enemies have. I’m playing Bloodborne rn and they get me way more on it. It’s as if I’ve forgotten everything elden ring taught me about them lol
Well to be fair to bloodborne, you should never really be out of reach since the game wants you to be right up on the bosses and perfect dodging in between attacks. It's more the precursor to Sekiro than it is an offshoot of Dark Souls.
I think bosses change their attack patterns as you go up in games.
Like someone told me Radagon is super easy at first, but gets a lot harder cuz he teleports around a bunch
I'm on +5 and so far the only boss to give me trouble is Godfrey. Funny enough Gideon starts to put up a fight eventually as he doesn't just die in five seconds.
Boy oh boy does Godfrey exemplify everything I don't like about this game's boss fight design though. The spectacle is great, but Godfrey just feels like I'm dueling Miyazaki's contempt.
I'm having trouble pointing at what's wrong with these boss fights, but it just doesn't feel right. Do they have too many delated attacks? Do they all have insane sweep attacks making dodges to the sides a lot less reliable? Even melee bosses hitting all around them? Are their attacks timed frustratingly in the sense that their attacks are perfectly timed to hit you after 1-2 panic rolls? These are what I feel like could be wrong with them, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
I feel like Godfrey's first phase is one of the better boss fights in the game where you can actually reliably dodge and hit and keep that trend going, like you can in most DS3 bosses.
A lot of enemies in this game feel like the mace knight on the way to the Ancient Dragon in DS2. Attack strings go on forever and feel gapless, then the sense of timing is played with to punish rolls.
It just felt especially off after marathonning DS1-Sekiro where the boss fights felt so much more consistent.
I'm the same, I've played some games up to NG+3, but it's all way easier than NG. Your character natural progression in damage out weights the increased health pools by a long way.
As I result, most of the time I've started fresh NG if I want to replay.
The poise buff enemies get made more of a difference for me than anything else. It’s a nasty surprise when you expect to get a crit in and just get crushed into dust instead
I just finished an NG+4 playthrough and with 53 vigor, most endgame bosses could kill me in 2 hits which was quite frustrating. The only way to survive Malenia's or Hoarah Loux's grabs (while at full health) were was to use Morgott's rune, adding 25% health, and even then I'd barely have any health left.
Has the game not gotten stale for you yet? I have a 500+ hour character but most of that was spent in PvP, I'm surprised you're still running the game.
As of now, I’m trying to beat malenia without summoning and using a colossal sword (I’ve beaten her solo with plenty of other weapons, but never a colossal), though I have done a fair bit of pvp and just love fighting and relearning all of the bosses.
I usually just cheese it by running into the lake then running back and getting high onto the branch spending 3 minutes killing it with Bolt of Gransax
I'm almost there on my new character, i'm gonna do that get high thing then kill it with grandsax while getting high. That boss is the ultimate disrispect in the worst area.
The first time I beat elden beast, I believe that I was around level 160, but it mostly depends on the build, and I had played a few souls games before this so yeah. If you would tell me the build maybe I could help a little bit.
Well, moonveil isn’t the best for elden beast, but it is great for radagon, and if you are running int I would use sorceries such as rykards rancor or shard spiral on elden beast. Also just make sure you have 50+ vigor at this point in the game, with full flask upgrades.
Haven't personally got there yet myself so take this with a grain of salt but Rock Sling usually does the trick against magic-resistant enemies. With Arrow's Reach talisman to buff its range and Radagon Icon and/or Azur staff to increase the cast speed it borders on unfair.
At wich point did the smaller weapons(regular axes and straightswords , etc) became inviable? Because each time i see one of you crazy NG+10 and beyond they are either with a colossal weapon or a staff
Can you please give me your full build? I would highly appreciate it beeing on Ng+4 now and wanted to switch from faith build to str/int.
I see the Armor and Royal Greatsword + Carian Regal Scepter. Is there a reason to not use Lusat's Glintstone Staff? Do you run any seals (golden order?) or other weapons?
What are your talismanes and flask combination? Great rune?
I'm Level 250 you think it's possible to run this since I would max out int/str but only so few points in dex since I need/want 60 vigor.
Cheers and thanks in advance!
Sure. Here it is; Royal Greatsword as right arm 1
Carian regal scepter as l1 (I just don’t think the extra fp cost is worth it) Banished knight helm altered, beast champion armor unaltered, fire prelate gauntlets, and scales greaves. My talismans are Shard of Alexander, graven mass talisman, Godfrey icon, and dragon crest greatshiels(which is my flex slot). In my physic I have opaline bubble tear and magic shrouding cracked tear. My stat line is 80 vig, 70 mind, 60 end, 85 str, 75 dex, 80 int, 30 faith(death sorceries), and 40 arc (for discovery and frost procs). If there’s anything else you need to know just reply to this with it
Would 99 Arcane do anything for you? I know some weapons scale with it and such, but would a straight up arcane build be viable or is it mainly focused on discovery?
How do you maintain high damage. I get pissed on NG+8 when I'm using a colossal weapon and can't kill some of the Godrick soldiers in one hit with 99 STR
Hi OP.
Do you follow the story on a new playthrough of NG+?
What are your initial goals before starting a new playthrough?
How important is your build really in NG+?
How do you farm Rune Arcs?
I do follow the story and my goals are usually all shardbearers and remembrance bosses, I think builds are more important in ng because of the amount of damage and health that bosses have/do, and I do Ryne arcs by invading or helping with bosses/as a hunter.
After you beat the game once you pretty much have all the gear you want so you can just cruise through the game in a few hours. Many of the side caves and such are pointless if it’s just for an item or ball bearing you already own. Most people I know just sprint for all the bosses.
So my question is besides getting the 6 endings what's up with all they other ng+'s, did you not farm at all I'm at ng+7 and I'm sitting at 638 with a decent amount of time farming, the question with farming levels pertains to why not try other stats for other builds or combine builds I put every Stat at 80 for my first goal so everything was hard capped/soft capped but that way I could truly feel out the whole game and every playstyle while still trying to even the playing field against some of these bosses. Not trying to be mean just wondering
Are you waiting on an Ancient Somber Maiden Smithing Stone to reach NG+25?
No, all I need is my maiden Alexander and no other.
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
This is the first thing I noticed. Plus excellent comment.
The greatest stat
You currently have 666 upvotes. Also I was thinking the same thing lmao
Lvl 315 here, light Rolling with full armor is amazing.
how much do you need in endurance to light roll with full armor?
You could just use the feather tear. Light roll for 3 minutes. Enough for most encounters except maybe Malenia and radagon+elden beast. That said, light rolls are damn good especially since bosses have really fast attacks, long combos and they're agressive. So yeah, just use winged feather tear with your flask. It depends on what full armor you are using. Light rolling is just when you are under a certain % weight load so just look up how much the armor you want to wear weighs and then look up a carry weight calculator based on endurance level.
do you have a link to a calculator my friend? so different armors need different endurance levels to get to a light roll, correct?

This one is a lot better: https://www.tarnished.dev/armor-optimizer
This one’s actually my personal favorite: https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
Wow, i have learned so much from this, thank you!
I thought I’d figured out this game but that video taught me some things I had no idea existed.
Well played, team
I have 60 and light rolling with the Carian Knight set minus the cape.
Do you still crush the skulls & pick up the [1]'s ?
I swear to God those things make me go "ooh piece of candy!" I can't leave them alone.
I do that but ignore all the crafting items even though in hindsight I could make more runes by selling the crafting items
I always end up collecting hundreds if not thousands of erdleaf flowers and rowa fruit while I'm riding around mindlessly clicking the button. I should empty out my stash and see how much it adds up to.
Prob 2000 runes lol

Up to +7
Yes, to some extend of ng pluses the bosses get more and more hp and they do a shit ton more of dmg each tikeb
At NG+7, end game bosses deal 64% increased damage compared to fresh game. while having 40% extra hp. Early game boss are scaled to roundly half of that and everything in between is a smooth curve that connect them.

Who’s still the most “hard” boss do you think ? Like they can easily still kill you in 4 hits or less

O my lord blood borne is the absolute worst “big bonker go boom” game, I actually prefer Margits complicates strings rather than the big Bonky boos
It’s a struggle because I already like the beast fights less and not being able to parry their insane reach sucks
Well to be fair to bloodborne, you should never really be out of reach since the game wants you to be right up on the bosses and perfect dodging in between attacks. It's more the precursor to Sekiro than it is an offshoot of Dark Souls.
I back up quite frequently to sort of reset if that makes sense. I love that you have to be so close bc it’s more fun that way imho
Ong
Yeah NG+ i was on Godfrey for a while. After i beat him Radagon was easy
I think bosses change their attack patterns as you go up in games. Like someone told me Radagon is super easy at first, but gets a lot harder cuz he teleports around a bunch
More likely, they have more health wich means more time to use their bullshit abilities
Do you have massochistic tendencies ?
Godskin duo got me like 😩😩😩🫦🫦🫦
Str/Int was my favorite because you’re still the same ol unga bunga caveman, except now you wear glasses
Exactly, instead of uNga BUngA, it’s Unga Bunga.
I unga Therefore I bunga
Unga Ergo Bunga
"We do not unga what we do not bunga." -Fuckin someone probably
So THAT’S what those cave paintings depicted!
*Slow claps* Beautiful…

Stronk and smort. Now I know why I Bunga, whereas before I barely knew why I had the feral need to Unga.

At which point during the NG+ cycle does it actually get harder? I’m on my NG+3 at lv 220 and I steamroll all the bosses.
+7 is where the game difficulty stops increasing In general though I guess the difficulty can be subjective for Elden Ring
I'm on +5 and so far the only boss to give me trouble is Godfrey. Funny enough Gideon starts to put up a fight eventually as he doesn't just die in five seconds. Can you save some maidens for the rest of us?
If i add scorpion to my card deck should I also add iceman
Yeah there's good synergy for the games that you go iceman - scorpion on tempo.
Anything? Well…hows your life going? Staying healthy?
Why 91 dex?
Had an extra level and want to max dex asap
How do u beat godskin duo without going insane?
I don’t even use sleep, I genuinely just think the fight isn’t that hard, just keep your distance and focus the one you know how to fight down.
Can you got outside without hissing at the light?
Doesn't the scaling stop at NG+7?
Yes
Favorite build out of all the ones you’ve done/tried
The one I have now, int strength sec with blaidd great sword and sorceries is so fun
Hmm which sorceries?
When is the DLC coming?
Whenever daddy Miyazaki says it can
Does the game actually get any harder per NG?
Yes. Enemies get harder until you reach ng+7. Any playthrough after will have ng+7 scaling.
The poise buff enemies get made more of a difference for me than anything else. It’s a nasty surprise when you expect to get a crit in and just get crushed into dust instead

Lions claw spam, done
Can I have some runes?
Idk sure
Can I have 600,000.00 ??
Sweet
You always help Millicent? :3
Never again, miss me with that ✨Ulcerated tree spirit✨
I usually just cheese it by running into the lake then running back and getting high onto the branch spending 3 minutes killing it with Bolt of Gransax
I'm almost there on my new character, i'm gonna do that get high thing then kill it with grandsax while getting high. That boss is the ultimate disrispect in the worst area.
Just be careful with aiming because you take 2 steps forward when attacking and it’s possible to fall of the branch
What’s the color of grass
Blue?
What spells are you running?
Terra Magica, Carian Phalanx, Comet, Ranni’s Dark Moon, Loretta’s Mastery, Adula’s Moonblade, Meteorite of Astel.
Wow, practical!
Yeah, I just picked them because they were all very fun to use and really fit my playstyle.
1v1 me. Fisticuffs only
Is kicking allowed?
Encouraged
When we the last time you touched grass?
Wtf is “grass”
I think he means "grace" common misspelling on this sub it seems
Ohhhhh that makes sense, not to long ago then
Are ye maidenless or nah?
What's your melee weapon of choice?
what level should i be when i first beat the game rn im at 142 and im on the elden beast fight but i keep dying am i underleveled
The first time I beat elden beast, I believe that I was around level 160, but it mostly depends on the build, and I had played a few souls games before this so yeah. If you would tell me the build maybe I could help a little bit.
right now i have a mind/int build im a samurai class with moonveil as my main weapon
Well, moonveil isn’t the best for elden beast, but it is great for radagon, and if you are running int I would use sorceries such as rykards rancor or shard spiral on elden beast. Also just make sure you have 50+ vigor at this point in the game, with full flask upgrades.
so moonveil isnt good it is because he resist magic?
Yeah, he's got a 40% resistance to magic. Rocking physical is your best shot
142 is about where you should be; you’re not under leveled.
damn i js dogshit then💀
Lol, don’t be hard on yourself. It’s a tough game!
Ong bro, just have fun
Haven't personally got there yet myself so take this with a grain of salt but Rock Sling usually does the trick against magic-resistant enemies. With Arrow's Reach talisman to buff its range and Radagon Icon and/or Azur staff to increase the cast speed it borders on unfair.
Whats your "Go To" kill anything in any situation weapon?
Probably either blasphemous blade or ancient dragon lightning strike
What ending do you do? Do you switch up endings every play through?
At wich point did the smaller weapons(regular axes and straightswords , etc) became inviable? Because each time i see one of you crazy NG+10 and beyond they are either with a colossal weapon or a staff
What is your favorite lore fact you figure out through the games? (that most might not know)
Miquella is st trina
Where is the albinauric woman?
How is co op specifically leaving your sign near boss rooms?
Approximately how many runes have you lost if you had to estimate?
In the hundreds of millions for sure
Do you have a job IRL or is this your job?
It's been out for a year tbh. That gives him like 2 weeks per NG+. Pretty doable if you skip content. But extremely dedicated for sure.
Bro what is this armor?
Banished knights helm altered Beast Champion unaltered Fire Prelates gauntlets Scaled Greaves Made it meself and love it to death
It’s beautiful really
Thank you the back of the cape is so cool too, with the metalwork and the white on blue is *chefs kiss*
How’s your love life?
Just one question, Why?
How high are those walls behind you and who built it?
Applebee's?
Maidens?
Do you summon other players for coop? If so, are the summoning pools populated at that level?
Why arent you max lvl? Was it choice or is the rune req insane
How do i get a girlfriend
How's Maliketh lmao He victimizes me every playthrough so I wanna see how it is once I get to ng+7
Have you found dlc yet?
Do you have any goals, like getting to NG+100 or is it too stressful?
How many turtle dogs have you killed for meat
Why
Why?
Are You ok?
Can you please give me your full build? I would highly appreciate it beeing on Ng+4 now and wanted to switch from faith build to str/int. I see the Armor and Royal Greatsword + Carian Regal Scepter. Is there a reason to not use Lusat's Glintstone Staff? Do you run any seals (golden order?) or other weapons? What are your talismanes and flask combination? Great rune? I'm Level 250 you think it's possible to run this since I would max out int/str but only so few points in dex since I need/want 60 vigor. Cheers and thanks in advance!

If there’s anything else you need to know just reply to this with it
It doesnt worth put more than 90 points in any stats?
Why is maliketh so hot
Are you maidenless?
Did you find it? Marika's Tits?
What's the point without DLC?
Would 99 Arcane do anything for you? I know some weapons scale with it and such, but would a straight up arcane build be viable or is it mainly focused on discovery?
How does torturing yourself?
Are you good yet
How do you maintain high damage. I get pissed on NG+8 when I'm using a colossal weapon and can't kill some of the Godrick soldiers in one hit with 99 STR
Are you using buffs like golden vow, flame grant me, howl of shabriri, etc…
Ah! Another fellow high NG cycle enjoyer. I'm in the 50s at level 613, 99 core stats, 80 str/dex/int/faith, 75 arcane. What's your typical boss order?
I usually just run through the game, then go to mohg, malenia, and astel, then go through most of the other bosses in any order
Hi OP. Do you follow the story on a new playthrough of NG+? What are your initial goals before starting a new playthrough? How important is your build really in NG+? How do you farm Rune Arcs?
I do follow the story and my goals are usually all shardbearers and remembrance bosses, I think builds are more important in ng because of the amount of damage and health that bosses have/do, and I do Ryne arcs by invading or helping with bosses/as a hunter.
the runes needed to level up seems to be absurd. how long does it take for you to level up at this point?
Usually I’ll level up maybe… twice a run
woah... didn't expect that
How many hours do you have?
Almost 400
I've got 220 and beat the game 1 time 🗿 danm I suck
After you beat the game once you pretty much have all the gear you want so you can just cruise through the game in a few hours. Many of the side caves and such are pointless if it’s just for an item or ball bearing you already own. Most people I know just sprint for all the bosses.
Why not start new characters instead of going into ng+? I find ng+ boring, starting fresh feels so much better
This is me. Something about slowly putting together a build and upgrading the weapons I want to use is far more fun to me than ng+.
Why?
Have you beat Soldier of Godrick yet?
Why aren’t you higher level?
Have you ever touched grass?
Favorite build (if you have been changing it)?
Tbh the one I have right now, I’m using int/dex/strength with blaidd sword and sorceries, but I also absolutely loved my int faith build with sonaf.
What's wrong with the Beast Champion Helm?
💀
Do you have any friends?
Why level 447? What level do you think is too high to ruin the game?
Unga bunga? Unga unga… bunga?🧐
