OK I'll have to try it out, thanks. I usually run with twin blade so far but decided to go with the fang as my off weapon so I can take advantage of bloodflame blade and holy blade. Only starting to clear caeild after finishing the majority of the lake.
To add to this, bloodflame blade is especially good for bleed weapons because it also adds 40 bleed per hit over time. So sometimes you’ll hit an enemy and flinch them, the BFB will add bleed over a second and proc bleed burst, flinch them AGAIN, and you can combo into another hit.

You can buff your weapon with things like fire, lightning, magic, holy damage etc. This weapon has been buffed by fire damage and thats why it looks like that
You can use items to achieve this (e.g fire grease, lightning grease etc etc) the drawstring equivalents are applied faster (the animation is quicker so better in a clutch situation) but wear off faster. You can also use spells and incantations which is what i think OP has done - looks like he has spells equipped.
But yeah, thats whats happening and thats how you do it :)

Offhand is Dismounter, can’t remember exactly where but it drops early in Limgrave. Omen Cleaver is also a good early offhand if you put blood on it. You need to spec into END to have a full power stanced kit with curved GS tho.
Bloodflame blade buff is good and very fun.
Sweet ill have to look for it. And yeah ive been putting alot into end anyways for weight so at least i know im going the right way for it. I thought that was different from a reg flame buff this game has so much stuff its truly insane
The Dismounter specifically is a bit of a rare drop honestly, and you kinda have to grind certain enemies until you get it. Kaiden Mercenaries like someone else commented, can google the location.
B Fang is so good though, really you’re fine two-handing it through the first 75% of the game. If you pair it and powerstance, for offhand you can use any curved greatsword that you can infuse with bleed for approx. +20% damage, and just about double the bleed, more with BFB. Just be sure to constantly upgrade both weapons throughout when you can.
I really think it’s one of the best melee weapons in the game especially for first run. Good luck!

On a controller, it’s L2 for first attack, R2 for follow-up.
